Chapter 14.1 : Tokyo, Tequila and a Kiss
They both succeeded with their plan to run away from security. Now, what will two adults do when leave alone together in the streets of Tokyo? At night?
They go straight to Tokyo Leisureland and play arcade and claw machines, of course.
Louise is constantly beating Ojiro in a two-player game, not because she's an expert but because she's cheating. Ojiro is hopeless at getting a plushie in a claw machine while Louise laughs at him so hard and calls him an amateur. Ojiro looks at her, hands on hips, when she ends up not getting any stuffed toys either.
An interesting game caught Louise's attention: an ice cream stall inside the arcade. The mechanic is anyone who will break the meter on the screen by screaming will get a free ice cream. A lot of people attempt to get the prize, screaming at the top of their lungs but fail.
Ojiro shakes his head in disbelief when she calls them amateurs. Louise ends up winning ice cream for both of them.
They found a photo booth, and Ojiro is fine with it, so they took a few photos together inside. The pictures are heavily filtered and they end up looking like, aliens but the butterflies in Lousie's stomach didn't mind. They finally have a remembrance of their first date.
A few people give Louise a strange look because of her bare feet, so they decide to find a store to buy shoes. Ojiro points to a fancy designer mall, but Louise shakes her head, disapproving, and pulls him into a Daiso store.
While Louise is in a magazine aisle, a huge, smiling poster of Ojiro greets her, making her step back in surprise. She found another one in the slipper aisle, and while Ojiro is showing her the Ultraman mask that he is wearing, replacing her babushka, a huge poster of him is plastered behind him, posing for a cottony sweater.
She found another one in the slipper aisle, and while Ojiro is showing he the Ultraman mask that he is wearing, replacing her babushka; as huge poster of him is plastered behind him, posing for a cottony wear.
Ojiro looks oblivious to the fact that they're surrounded by his posters. He shows her what he found: a comfy-looking plush slippers, and Louise almost had a seizure. It was the most perfect pair of slippers she had seen in her life.
After buying the slippers and other useless cute things that they found, she pulled him with her and got out of the store quick.
They laugh at each other, feeling silly wearing a children's toy mask. Ojiro in an Ultraman mask, while Louise's in a Kitsune one. He kneels before her and puts on her foot the plush slippers they bought. It's such a relief for her that she's wearing a mask because she can feel the heat from her flustered face.
Louise remembers something, so she pulls him with her and takes him into a narrow alley filled with small stores and bars. They stop outside a small shop with only a counter, and the customers are only allowed to stand while drinking and eating skewers outside.
"So? What are we going to have here?"
The man comes back with two shot glasses filled with a clear liquid with salt and lemon.
"You said you were going to have a tequila shot with me, right? So here we go!"
Ojiro's face pales even more upon realizing it was another alcoholic drink.
Louise easily gulps down the drink in one go, pinching a slice of lemon in her mouth. She's ordering another shot when Ojiro passes out beside her after drinking a shot.
"That's right, you need to let everything out. In your life, there are things you need to let go." She rubs his back while he vomits all the steak he ate, on the floor of a dark part of the alley.

Ojiro wakes up to a voice humming. He sits up abruptly, catching his head, feeling a slight headache.
"Hey, careful." Lousie mumbled beside him, helping him to get up. "How are you feeling?"
He realizes he slept on her lap.
"Dizzy." He groaned; couldn't believe he passed out on their first date.
"Here, I bought a ramen for you." She hands him the cup noodle and looks at him guiltily as he sips the hot broth from it.
He sighs in relief, feeling more sober. They're sitting in a grassy park in Tokyo midtown. People are strolling on the far sides, so he felt safe taking off his mask for a while.
They silently watch the fairy-lit trees together and listens to the silent hum of the city.
"Well, anyway. That was fun." He stretches from his grassy seat.
"Really?" she chortled; a smile was left in her face while her eyes bulges in surprise from the fact that he passed out.
"Hontou. Really." He smiles innocently, turning to her. Their eyes met and Louise swear to all her dead ancestors, she felt her world suddenly moves in slow motion, getting lost in his dark eyes.
"Louise."
"Ojiro—"
A vibration from his pocket cuts them off, startling them both. Ojiro fishes out his phone from his pocket and taps on it to check the notification. Looking at his furrowed brows, Louise can tell something came up.
