Chapter 10.1: The interview with the Ice Prince
Sakiko-chan was panicking when she finally found Ojiro. He apologized, and to make up to her for causing trouble, he let her have a break with Atsushi-san, his driver. He told her they could go to a café as a treat while he was in his next interview.
He felt relieved when he managed to take the smell of alcohol off him by washing his face in the bathroom and chewing a fruit gum. As his ever-thoughtful manager, Sakiko-chan had already prepared an outfit for him to change into. He looked a lot better in his casual attire, and he looked like he didn't think of retiring just a while ago.
The two studio workers were being assisted by Torou-san, his personal photographer and videographer, when he arrived. Everyone bowed to him, but one woman, whom he quickly recognized as Louise, was left standing as she scanned some papers.
As much as he wanted to focus with work, he just couldn't help but wonder about what she'd do now that she'd finally meet Ojiro Korishima. He couldn't wait to find out.
"Irashaimasen!" She blurts out without thinking as she bowed too. That wasn't even the right thing to say at the moment.
A terrible employee with bad Japanese.
Base on nervous looking face, she had probably known about him now.
The people around her gave her an awkward look, which she ignored, but her flustered face couldn't hide her embarrassment. He cleared his throat, reminding himself to stop staring too much.
Ojiro returned the greeting, turning away immediately, hiding his laughter as much as he could. He didn't know if he should feel sorry or sympathize with her.
It was really not her day.
While his team fixed his hair, and applied light makeup on his face, Louise approached him politely and handed him the interview script.
"Wow! You really look great in that suit, Korishima-senshu! Like a producer in a movie!" She tried to compliment him, maybe to make it look like she knew him just like everyone else in the room.
"He's one of the producers of the anime project you're working on, so we really need to make him look like a producer in front of the camera." One of his stylists inserted.
He can tell from the look in her face how she tries so hard to hide her surprise.
He bit the inside of his cheek to keep himself from laughing too much. This is so fucking hilarious.
"Of course, I know that! They told me that in our meeting the other day." She said immediately. Her reddening cheeks was always a telltale sign of her embarrassment.
Ojiro averted his gaze and focused on the script he was holding instead.
They made them sit on chairs facing each other for the interview, and he couldn't help but steal a curious glance at her face.
The gaijin was undeniably beautiful. Her natural blush is a perfect contrast to her fine skin and small face, thick lashed, big brown eyes, and cherry red lips. Ojiro blinks, couldn't believed how he became so conscious of that about her looks.
He actually didn't want to pay attention to that at first because he's so used to interacting and working with a lot of pretty women, both Japanese and foreigners, majority of them trying to pique his interest.
But the way the guys from his own staff nudged each other, goofing around about who will get her number first, was proof that he's not the only one noticing her. He's aware that he's becoming too conscious of her too so he needs to remind himself that he's at work and he need to focus.
