Author's 697th note (IMPORTANT)

I'm dropping another note regarding the last two chapters I uploaded and I wanted to say hi to my fellow fanyus!👋

The Notte Stellata season is around the corner again!

For non-fanyus, if you have read the latest chapter of Dating the Ice Prince, you already know about Yuzuru Hanyu, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in figure skating. Notte Stelleta is an ice show that made its debut last year with a cast of Olympians led by none other than Yuzuru Hanyu.

Notte Stellata is an ice show made to honor and reflect on the Great East Japan Earthquake that devastated Yuzuru's hometown on March 11, 2011. Thousands of people died and It's a disaster in which Yuzuru has survived.

Well, you had read that I wrote a chapter that depicted this deadly disaster, and I just want to give a reminder that I'm not trying to make content out of it. The inspiration behind this chapter is my goal and story's overall theme, which is "Japan," and I have this thought that disasters like this have been part of the daily lives of Japanese people, and what I've learned, well, from my own understanding of studying their culture, is that disasters have had a huge influence on how they are raised and behave as useful individuals in their society, and why giving help to the victims is such a very important thing for them.

I wanted to explore more of these themes because I wanted to know more and have a bit of understanding of how life works from their perspectives. I live in the Philippines, and we have also experienced natural disasters like typhoons and even earthquakes. In my life, I experienced earthquake like 2-3 times. It was just a little movement of the ground for seconds, but enough for my anxiety to act up and to  think that Yuzu had survived this....Ah, I just can't help but love him more.

Here's the Ice Show's official website if anyone of you might be interested in applying for tickets:

This is the website if you ever want to make donations.

Yuzuru himself has made generous donations. Both his Olympic incentives, he donated them to disaster relief (Fanyus, you can correct me on this or add more info.)

and the royalties of his autobiographies entitled "Blue Flame I, II, III, and IV" are donated directly to disaster relief as well as to the ice rink where he trains.

Final notes: In the next chapters, you'll see more of the themes that I wanted to explore through Louise's experience dating a Japanese. Right now, the timeline is in the month of December, so hopefully you'll get to see a Japanese holiday.

What are Japanese doing during the holidays? *winks*

Let's find out.

So please tune in for more!
