Shen Yue's POV
It's the end of the day and as I clear out my locker with all my books in my bag, I receive a text message from my email. I read it and the first thing I notice it's from Mr wang.

From Mr Wang-
Ms. Shen Yue. I would love to invite you over for dinner.Please come over to my house to discuss your future relationship.

I reread it a couple of times just to make sure that I am not hallucinating. I didn't think Mr. Wang would ever want to talk to me after he kicked me out of his house but If I'm honest, I don't think I can do go alone but I have to.

If Dylan and me want to make them accept me and our relationship. This is my last chance to make things right but I'm so unprepared. What would I say or do?

I'm at Dylan's house and I am already wanting to back out. I've been avoiding Dylan all day and I know he's been calling to figure out where I am. I hate to worry him but if I told him I was gonna meet his father, he would forbid me to go.

I walk towards the front door and knock. It opens moments later and I see Mr. Wu again.

"Ms. Shen. Mr. and Mrs. Wang have been expecting you. Please come in." He says making way for me to pass.

I change my into the house slippers and I follow Mr. Wu to where Dylan's parents are. As I walk into the dining room, I instantly see Mrs. Wang and she turns and has a big bright smile on her face.

Her face is welcoming and she seems really nice.

"Shen Yue. You're here." She says and I smile.

"Goodnight Mrs. Wang. Goodnight Mr. Wang." I bow to both of them.

"Ms. Shen Yue. Thank you for coming. Please have a seat." Mr. Wang says and he sounds a lot more calm and collected this time.

"Thank you." I bow to him again as I sit in one of the dining chairs.

"How long you've known my son?" Mr. Wang asked.

"We've known each other since high school." I admit to him.

"So long. You guys must have been close back then." Mr. Wang says as he takes a sip out of his wine.

"Not exactly. We only started getting close just recently. " I explained to him but Mr. Wang just stays silent. "Mr. Wang. I wanted to apologize for yesterday for being at your house without your permission. Me and Dylan were studying together for our classes and he wanted me to be here." I admit to them.

"No worries about that Shen Yue." Mrs. Wang says with a smile on her face.

"Shen Yue you seem like a smart and good young girl and I can kind of see why my son might have some interest in you." Mr. Wang says to me. "But if I'm honest, Dylan doesn't have any experience in being in a relationship." He says.

"I understand that sir." I say to him.

"Shen Yue. I want to tell you that Dylan is young and one day he is going to take over Wang group and that's also a reason why he is in college to learn and grow as an adult. As a father, all I want is what's best for him. Instead of being in a relationship, he should be focusing on school so he can take responsibility one day." Mr. Wang explains to me.

"I assure you Mr. Wang that I don't intend to stand in the way or distract Dylan from his studies. Actually we help each other in our studies and we do really well together." I admit to him

"Shen Yue the truth is...... Dylan is already in an arrangement to be married to a close friend of mine's daughter. We plan to tell him when he is older but I think it's best that you keep this in mine that Dylan has his life already planned ahead. I know it's hard to believe but it's true." Mr. Wang tells me and I can't believe.

Dylan is going to get married soon.

"I'm sorry to spring this all on you Shen Yue but Dylan can't just be fooling around and dating people. I hope you can understand our decision." Mr. Wang says to me.

It's honestly taking me a long time to process all of this. I want Dylan to have a good future but what it seems like what Mr. Wang is saying is that he doesn't see me in Dylan's future.

"Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Wang for having me but it's getting late and my parents are expecting me home." I say trying to change the subject.

"Of course and oh one more thing. Here is a little token or your cooperation and appreciation. I noticed that your father's business is not doing too well so I decided to give you and you're family 5 million dollars. It could help pay for your parents debts" Mr. Wang says passing me the envelop.

"Sorry Mr. Wang but I can't expect this. My dad wouldn't want me to take this money and neither would I." I state to him. "I will take my leave now Mr. and Mrs. Wang. Thank you for inviting me." I say as I follow Mr. Wu to the front door.

Everything seems so clear now. I don't belong in Dylan's world. I guess I have to let go of Dylan and my love for him.
