Shen Yue's POV
"Mom, Dad?" I hear Dylan say and the two people turn around.

That's Dylan's parents?

"What are you guys doing here?" Dylan asked his parents.

"Well we live here." His mother says as his mother walks towards him. "Dylan, it looks like you are pale. Are you sick?" Dylan's mother says as she feels his head and cheeks.

"Gosh mom. Stop it." Dylan says moving his mothers hand away from his face.

"Who is this?" Dylan's mom put her attention onto me now.

"Goodnight Mrs. Wang." I immediately bow to her.

"What's your name honey?" She asked.

"I'm Shen Yue." I tell her.

"Yue? What a beautiful name. Yue means.......moon if I'm correct." She says and I nod. "Are you friends with Dylan?" She asked and I look up at him.

"I-"

"No. She's my girlfriend. Mom." Dylan buts in and says. Why would he tell her that for? He's already put me in a awkward position.

"Girlfriend?" I hear Dylan's dad says and he walks over to us.

"I didn't know you guys were dating." Mrs. Wang says.

"We just recently started." I admit to her.

"That's wonderful. Well we would love to have dinner with you so we can get to know-"

"No! That won't be necessary." Mr. Wang says. "Dylan I think you should take Ms. Shen home right now." Mr. Wang says.

"Why?" Dylan questions his dad.

"Because I said so." He says and I look up at Dylan.

"Well she is my guest and I don't want her to leave. She is also my girlfriend and I want her by my side. Can't you show a little respect for her?" Dylan says as he talks back to his dad.

"Dylan please don't argue with your father." I hear Mrs. Wang say as she tries to calm down her son. I look up at Dylan once again to see the anger in his face.

"Fine. If Shen Yue has to leave than I'm leaving to." Dylan says as he grabs my hand and pulls me.

"If you walk out that door, be prepared for the consequences." Mr. Wang warns him and I can feel the tight grip that Dylan is holding on my arm.

"Dylan it's okay. Don't worry. I'll go." I say to him but Dylan looks at me.

"No." He refuses.

"I don't want you to argue or do something that you will regret. Please just stay here. I'll go." I tell him and I try to release my grip from Dylan and he lets go of my arm.

"Wu Shun please help walk out Shen Yue for me." Mrs. Wang says.

"Yes Ma'am." Wu Shun says as I follow him.

"Yue wait!" I hear Dylan call out and I turn around. I see Dylan reaching for his pocket as he pulls out my glasses. "Here." He says returning it to me and i take it.

"Thank you." I say as I put them on. "Goodnight Mr. and Mrs. Wang." I bow to them as I follow Mr. Wu to the front door.

I made it to home and I see an incoming call from Xiang Wen.

"Hello" I answer.

"Don't think because you have a boyfriend that you forget who your best friend is." Xiang Wen says.

"Sorry." I say to her.

"What's wrong? You sound sad." Xiang Wen asked me.

"I just got back from Dylan's house." I admit to her.

"Uh oh. Tell me what happened? Did you guys fight?" Did he bully you again?" She asked sounding nervous over the phone.

"No we didn't have a fight or anything like that." I admit to her.

"Then what's the problem?" She asked.

"I met his parents and Dylan has a little argument with his father. His mother was nice but it looked like the dad wasn't thrilled about us dating." I explained to her.

"Are you serious?" She questioned

"Yes. It was pretty bad. Almost to the point that Dylan was going to walk out of the house with me." I admit to her.

"No way. I never knew Dylan would do that for anyone. He must really care about you." Xiang Wen says.

"I felt like a burden. Like a wage between them two. I also didn't want Dylan to get in trouble with his dad so I left." I say to her.

"I'm sorry you had a bad experience with meeting Dylan's parents. I heard that Mr. Wang could be quite cruel but I didn't think it was true." Xiang Wen says.

"It's alright but I'm really worried about Dylan and what's going on over there." I admit to Xiang Wen.

"Maybe you should call him and find out." She suggested.

"I don't know. I don't want to disturb him. I'll just ask him tomorrow at school." I admit to her.

"Okay, I'll talk to you later. Goodnight." Xiang says.

"Goodnight."
