The Next Day/ Shido's P.O.V.

"Are you sure your ready Shido." Kotori asked me through my earpiece. "Yeah, I-I want to save her, she deserves to live a life just like any other human." I said confidently. "Hey, Shido if things get out of hand we got your back!" Tohka said. "Right Yoshino!" Tohka said and smiled at the younger girl.

"yes.." Yoshino said. "Yeah! We'll kick butt and everything! If...she's a threat." said Yohinon excitedly. I smiled, glad that I had my friends. "Yeah!" I said and did a thumbs up. I faced the old department building that the mysterious spirit was hiding in.

"Shido, lets start." Kotori asked. " I'm ready." I answered. "Alright! She should be on level 3. The elevators are busted so you'll have to go up the stairs." Kotori said. I groaned. "Great." I said. I'm going to save her.

"Oh..m-my...gosh..!" I said through pants as I made it to the 3rd floor. Those were to many damn steps. I'm so tired. "Oh, grow up you big baby!!" Kotori said in a harsh voice. "Well you didn't just climb up on what felt like a thousand steps!!" I yelled furiously forgetting the spirit was still in the building.

"Who's in here!" said a unfamiliar voice. Oh shoot! "You idiot!" Kotori said. I heard a loud thunder and a blaze of purple flames go past my face. I stood in shock. One more step and I would've been ash. "We can still make it, Shido you can see where she is now because of her attack. It leads you straight to her." Kotori yelled.

She was right. Because of that attack I could easily make out that she was in the 4th room on my right. I ran to it and there she was. When she saw me she immediately took her crossbow out. "Are you here to kill me too?" she asked me. Her voice is even pretty. "N-No, I-I'm here to help you." I said.

"Don't make me laugh. You humans are just cruel and merciless creatures who make this world rotten." she said glumly. I gasped. "That's not true!" I yelled at her. She glared at me with her dark black eyes. "Don't lie to me!!!" she yelled and held her crossbow tighter.

"Please listen to me, I know your scared and afraid because nobody has showd you any kind of affection eversince you've been here. I know you feel that it's unfair because you haven't done anything wrong yet they desire to destroy you. I know what your going through but believe me that not all humans are like that. If they don't accept you, then know that I will always accept you. Even if I'm the only human on earth that accepts you I'll accept you even more!" I said.

Wow, that's a lot on my mind that I let out. She smiled. The first time I've seen her smile. "Hey. is that really true?" She asked me, her eyes tearing up. I smiled back at her. "Yeah, I've met countless spirits like you..I'm not afraid of you like everyone else. Your made of the same flesh and blood as me and deserves to be treated that way." I said gently.

She chuckles. "Sorry for trying to kill you." she said and lowered her crossbow. "Its alright." I said. "Hey, um I didn't get your name." she said. "Oh, that's right! My names Shido." I said. "And I'm guessing you don't have a name." I asked. "N-No." she said and lowers her head.

"It's nothing to be a shame of. I'll name you....." I looked at her up and down trying to come up with something. Charlotte? Olivia? Tara? Kylie? No..........how about Arielle. "Hey, can it be Arielle?" I asked. It was a beautiful name to go with her, well at least In my opinion.

"Arielle? Yeah, I guess that could work! I like it! Thank you so much!" Arielle said and hugged me making me blush. I smiled gently and rubbed her soft hair. "I'm glad." I said. "Wow, Shido you getting pretty good at this. I didn't even have to tell you any commands. I'm impressed that your stupidity didn't interfere!" Kotori said through the earpiece. "But seriously, good job bro!" she said which had shocked me.

She's really proud of me huh!? All of a sudden I heard a loud alarm coming from the earpiece. "Shido! The AST near!! I need you to get out of there!" Kotori yelled. I'm sorry Kotori, but I cant leave Arielle all alone. "Arielle! The AST are near!" I told her and she slowly pulled away.

"W-What!" Arielle said and looked at the sky. She immediately noticed the armor covered girls in the air and raised her hand in the air creating a shield. "You need to get out of here or you'll get hurt to you know." Arielle said and looked at me with serious eyes.

"Don't fight them." I said calmly. "B-But there attacking me and you'll get hurt because of me!" she said, pleading me to not endanger myself. I chuckled though. "Didn't I tell you I had friends like you, look for yourself!" I said and pointed to the air.

Arielle's P.O.V.

I looked up and saw a girl who wore a dress with a black, cream, and pink color scheme and a set of purple-and-cream plated armor which adorned her shoulders and waist. Her hair is tied back using a butterfly-shaped hair accessory. She was using a Sandalphon or sword to fight the AST. She was a spirit just like me.

I heard another explosion and turned to see a more younger girl this time. She wore a white short dress under a large green raincoat that has a tail with pink ribbon attached with a pair of rabbit-ear hood and held a rabbit puppet. To me it looked like she was summoning water and using for her defense

"Shido, did you save them to?" I asked completely forgetting about the AST. "Yeah, I could do the same for you.." Shido said and raised his hand towards me. I stared at it, deciding if I should take it or not. Eventually I decided to go with him.

I felt like I could trust him. I held his hand and blushed. His hand was warm..and soft. It felt nice to hold his hand. I had also never realized how cute his name is. Shido...it suits him. With blue hair down to his neck, amber brown eyes, and his straight hair and bangs. The name Shido really fits him.

I smiled glad to finally make a new friend in this cruel world.

"I promise, I'll always stick with you..no matter what."
