9-Missing You✅
"Baby... Why?" He asked while embracing me in a hug. I just shrugged. I didn't want to tell them how Casey really is.
It's been a few minutes since Kellin embraced me in a warm hug, still on the bathroom floor. None of us said a word; it was silent, besides the sound of breathing.
"Ray, babe, you need to talk. I need to know why you did this." Kellin said, and I felt him slowly shake his head on my shoulder. When I was about to answer, someone knocked on the door.
"Ray? Kellin?" I assumed it was dad by the sound of their voice.
"Yes?" Kellin answered for the both of us.
"Is everything okay? Casey said Ray ran into the bathroom and hasn't been out for awhile. I think she's worried.." Dad trailed off and I closed my eyes tight, hating the fact everyone thinks Casey is innocent and I'm the asshole.
"Everything is okay," I answered, "I just wanted to speak to Kellin in private."
"Oh, okay. Well I hope you know I'm here if you want to talk, too."
"Thank you, I know."
"Ray.." Dad sighed. Oh no, he knows..
"Y-yeah?"
"Casey is very worried about you, can you come out so she knows you're okay?" He asked and I clenched my hand into a fist.
"Don't let her get to you," Kellin whispered and kissed my cheek.
"You know?" I asked and he nodded.
"Something wasn't right about her."
Having Kellin know Casey turned out to be a fake was a relief, at least he won't fall for her and we might have a chance after all.
"Vic!" I heard one of the guys call for him in the background.
"I'm here for ya Ray." Dad said before he left to see what the fuss was about.
"Ray are you okay?" I heard Casey say on the other side of the door.
"Bitch," I mumbled and pulled my sleeves down a bit more. Kellin raised his eyebrow and looked at me with shock and amusement.
"Sorry," I smiled at him and pulled myself up off the floor, while he remained seated.
"You comin'?" I asked and he grabbed my hand. "I love you."
"I love you, too." I replied.
"Please Ray, I don't want you to hurt yourself again."
"But-"
"No listen to me. Casey isn't worth your time. There was a reason Vic chose you to be his daughter, he saw something in you that wasn't in the other girls. And I'm glad it was you," he paused and I just looked down. "Since the first time I saw you, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you."
"You shouldn't like me,"
"Why?"
"Because I'm nothing, there is nothing special about me.."
"No, don't say that." Kellin then grabbed both of my hands and pulled me closer to him. "You are amazing and fun and so many other things. I hope it's safe to say that having you in my life now has made me happier."
"You're just saying that, Kel. Me being in anybody's life is the opposite of what you said. Now, thinking about it, I think the only reason Dad picked me is because he felt sorry. I have pity from Vic Fuentes one of the coolest people around." I shook my head, I was crazy to think he thought of me otherwise.
"Ray," he said, but I wasn't finished.
"I've been a mistake all my life, and nothing can change that..not even you, Kellin." I lifted my head up to look into his eyes, and I regretted it immediately. He looked like he was about to cry, hearing me say those things about myself must of killed him inside.
"But you're not a mistake to me," he whispered as a tear fell down his cheek.
"I love you, okay? But you can't waste your time on me. In the end I'll just let you down like everybody else.."
I sighed, got up, and looked at him once more. "I'm sorry." And left the bathroom.
Luckily, no one was waiting outside, not even Casey which is a very good thing. I walked from the bathroom and into my bunk, put my headphones in and realized what a mistake I've made..
