~ 1 month later ~

I woke up to my phone alarm going off signaling it's time for me to get up. I groggily sat up shuddering and the feeling of the cold floor on my feet. I got up and made my way to my bathroom quickly showering then blowdrying my hair pulling it back into a messy bun and headed back into my bedroom to get dressed.

I heard my phone go off as I finished getting dressed and saw it was from Brinley.

Brin: Hey, you coming to school today?

We haven't talked much since the incident the other day. I kinda hate that but I didn't have my phone and I forgot to text her yesterday when I got home.

Me: Yess 😩😒

Brin: okay meet at lockers xP

I didn't bother responding seeing as Danielle called for me letting me know it was time to go. I groaned in response and reluctantly grabbed my school bag from my desk chair.

Today has gone by slowly today it's just now 4th period. Which means Math class, I'm not the best at math, I never have been. Why the fuck is algebra even mandatory. Like when am I ever going to have to find out what the value of 'x' is?

I was sitting in the back of the classroom like I normally do passing notes back and forth to Brinley. I was just about to hand her the next note when my name sounded through the PA System saying I was needed in the from office. I packed my books into my bag handing Brinley the last note and told her to text me later then walked off to the front office.

As I got closer I could see one tattooed figure that was dressed in black skinny jeans, toms and a red flannel and the other figure was short, tan and had a SnapBack on his head.

"Dad?" I questioned just walking through the door with tears already about to fall.

"Hey baby," dad said pulling me into a bone-crushing hug.

"I've missed you so much" I said letting tears fall down my face.

"What am I chopped liver?" Kellin asked.

"Hey Kells" I mumbled and walked over to him giving him a big hug.

"Can we go?" I asked dad and he nodded walking out first Kellin and I following behind him.

"I've missed you both so much!" I told them as I leaned my head on Kellin's shoulder and snuggled as close as I could into him while dad drove us home.

"How have you been Ray?" Kellin asked.

"I've been okay." I told him with a small smile. "Better now that you and dad are here" I told him.

"Are you sure? You'd tell me if something was wrong right?" Dad asked joining the conversation.

"I-I I don't. It depends on what the issue is" I said

"Babe." Kellin said sadly but neither pushed the issue after that.

"Are we getting ice cream?" I asked excitedly as I saw dad stop the car in front of a local ice cream shop.

"Yeah. I thought it would be nice. But we can't stay for too long Danielle is at home with lunch waiting.

We just finished lunch, It was actually really good. Danielle made some sort of chicken with some green beans. After we all watched a movie on the couch. Danielle on one end, dad next to her, me next to dad and kellin next to me. Dad said I could pick what we watched so I had to pick coroline since it's my all time favorite movie. Dad was happy with my choice but kellin and Danielle weren't but oh well they can deal.

That's how our day went well up until I had to do my homework and go to bed. I did text Brinley later on and told her that it was just dad and kellin are here for a few days so and that I won't be in school tomorrow.
