~Four days later

"Are you ready?"

"Am I?"

"Yes, that was my question."

"Do I seem ready to you?"

Let's just say Dominic is nervous. He doesn't want to let Camilla down at the Dad Dance, but he's scared to do everything wrong.

It's cute, really. He's practiced so much for this, and he's absolutely ready. The perfectionist in him says something else, though. "You don't think I should've practiced last night too?"

I shake my head, finishing with his tie. I kiss his cheek before taking a step back, admiring his flowery tie. It matches with Camilla's dress, and it's the sweetest thing ever.

"Butterfly, Aiden doesn't want his—oh, great dress, princess," Asher walks in and immediately interrupts his sentence to gush over our little girl. "You look so pretty. I'm a bit jealous, sweetheart. You think papa can wear your dress sometime?"

She giggles, shaking her head. Her hands cover her mouth, making Asher smile. He picks her up, only to let her rest on his hip. She gives him a big hug. "Papa's too big for that!"

Knowing what's coming, I wait for Ash to wink. And he does, with his dirty mind. I sigh.

"What's up with Aiden?" I ask Asher, because he's awfully distracted with his little girl. And Dominic is a little jealous.

He hands Camilla back over to Nicky and then walks away. I follow him and eventually see what the problem is.

Easton is lying on the couch, looking dead. Aiden is laughing and jumping on him with shoes. I sigh. They always let the twins do whatever they want, even if it's things like these.

"Aiden, get off daddy," I snap. Aiden pointedly ignores me and continues jumping.

"Aiden! Listen to me or it's no desert tonight," I threaten. This kid is so damn stubborn, just like his daddies.

"Okay, bud, mommy's getting mad," Easton tries, even attempts to grab the boy. He fails.

I cross the living room and immediately yank Aiden off his dad, leaving him whining in protest. "No! Trampoline!"

Easton quickly sits up, rubbing his probably sore chest. "I didn't know he had shoes on," he groans, regretting allowing this. His own damn fault.

"Then don't give him everything he wants," I tell him, waiting until Aiden is doen with his kicking tantrum to put him down. Easton sheepishly nods, and I can't be mad at him anymore.

I kiss his forehead, carrying Aiden in the other hand. The child screams in frustration, but he has to calm down first. The other arm, I wrap around Easton. "Did he hurt you? He didn't step on your scar?"

Luckily, Easton shakes his head. "No, I protected it. It's fine."

The skin around his scar will always be sensitive. It's like a bruise. He winces every time something lands too rough on it.

"Come on, everyone, get ready to leave!" I shout through the house. I look at Easton. "You have the matching shirt for Sebastian?"

He nods, showing it. It fits with his own time, just like Asher's does with Aiden's shirt. I think it's really sweet Easton wants to do this for the other boy. He said it felt personal, because he always felt unwanted by his dad too.

Camilla runs to me, sniffling. I suppress a sigh and pick her up. Aiden rolls his eyes at his sister, then reaches for his daddy to pick him up. Aiden swoons immediately, forgetting about the kid quite using him as a trampoline.

"Dada killed the spider," Camilla cries, seeming heartbroken. I wipe her tears away. "Why did he do that?"

I glare at Dominic, who raises his hands in a hopeless movement. "She asked me to!" he defends himself.

Grudgingly, Camilla shakes her head at that and then proceeds to hide it in my neck. I decide to solve the problem in the car and shush everyone out of the door.

Asher, Easton and Aiden will take the other car while me, Camilla and Dominic take his favorite car. Camilla is definitely her dada's princess, and she wouldn't want to go somewhere without him.

That is, unless he kills spiders, of course.

She refuses to let me go sit in the front, so she just clings to me until I cave and join her in the back. Now Dominic is grumpy. It's never well.

"Camilla, you need to let mommy sit in the front," Dominic sighs. She lets out a huff of air at that. "And you need to stop killing the spiders."

Dominic groans and rests his head on the steering wheel in desperation. I laugh. "What about we do both?"

And with that, both of them are happy and I'm seated in the front for the rest of our drive toward the school. I can tell from his fidgeting that Dominic's still nervous, but that's okay. He won't calm down until after the dance anyway.

We meet my two other husbands at the school and together, we walk in. The room they'll dance in is nicely decorated. "Did you do all of this?" I ask the kids.

Aiden proudly nods while Camilla shakes her head. She gasps at her brother's lie. "No! Miss Adams did that!"

I grin at Aiden's frown. It stays until we're seated at our table. Each family has their own table, for the pie and drinks for the kids. We took a bigger one, for ten people. David and Ivan will join us with their kid, and Sebastian has to sit with us too.

Speaking of, I see a much smaller boy being dropped off before being left alone. He seems really unsure and gets shoved aside by multiple rude people. It tugs at my heart to see him standing in the corner, looking insecure. "I'll go get him."

Aiden jumps off his chair and takes my hand, ready to go along with me. The two of us walk toward Sebastian, who gives Aiden a little wave. He then looks back around, convinced we'll walk past him. We're not, though.

"Hey, Sebastian," I approach him, looking at him. Startled, he looks up at me. "H-hi."

He's such a cute kid. Aiden lets go of my hand and switches it for Seb's. "Do you want pie? We have chocolate cake too!"

Seb nods, but avoids my eyes. Aiden leads him to our table, where David and Ivan have arrived too. I greet them with a hug and a kiss on the cheeks, something Easton frowns at. I purposefully ignore that.

Then I turn back to the two boys, where now is only one. Aiden. I frown. "Where is your friend?"

He frowns too and looks around. "He ran away! I think he's scared of Uncle David."

David laughs. "Of me? Please."

I look around, but don't see the small boy. My heart breaks. Easton's told me about how he thinks Seb receives beatings from his dad, so he's probably scared of the five men at our table.

"Do you know where he could be?" I ask my son. He nods and points to the corner, where yes, Seb is playing with a little car. I send Aiden to get him, because he's the only one the boy trusts.

Hand in hand, they walk back. I open my arms for the both of them. Aiden giggles and and runs into my hug, while Seb is rather hesitant. I nudge him. "Come on, Sebastian. You want some chocolate milk?"

He nods. I help him on the chair right in between Aiden and me. Dominic walks off after chocolate milk for the four kids at our table and Easton cuts the cake we bought in pieces.

Seb seems overwhelmed, but not scared. The more I talk to him about some light subjects, the more he opens up. "Yes! I love chocolate cake!"

I smile as he rambles to Aiden and Camilla about how excited he is to dance with Easton. Suddenly, someone pats my arm. "Miss? Miss! You let something fall!"

Looking down, I see a little girl pointing at my phone on the floor. When she gives me a shy smile, I see her front teeth are gone. Camilla squeals. "Ada! Let's go play!"

And she's gone, ran off with the little girl named Ada.
