Chapter 19 - Planning

⚡️
A/n: I made the date December 1st in honor of the new story that will be uploaded on the first and this story ending on probably the 2nd

"We never had to force love. We were drowning in it the moment we met" {perry poetry}

"Welcome to my planning session!" I announced with a dramatic bow, "Let's start with the biggest part; London. You guys have heard of London, right?" The heroes rolled their eyes but went along with my improperly timed antics, "Good, because Klarion's planning on destroying it."

"What?" The team, league and Outcasts yelled in unison, my cheeriness taking a sharp turn.

"It's part of a multi-step plan. I remembered it while I was showering the other day. He was still planning it while I was with the villains, but I know he wouldn't just completely change the plan. Especially when he probably thinks I've forgotten it. He would hit London first, then other major cities around the world. It would send everything into chaos and he would take control, feeding off the chaos."

"So we stop him now."

"Smart, but no," I shook my head, "We stop him when he's trying to take London. He'd put all of his power into whatever leads up to that. He's counting on that chaos to recharge him before he can move on. We go in and take him out before that can happen."

"Klarion thrives off chaos, as long as there is chaos in the world, we will not be able to kill him," Doctor Light argued.

"That's where you're wrong," I smirked, "I spoke to the person who got to see his weaknesses; my mom."

"Your mom?"

"Yep. And thanks to her, I know how to stop him," I pulled a few schematics and strategies onto the screen, "Excuse my sucky drawing, you should be able to tell who's who. The league will go in first, he'll be expecting you. Put up a fight, but let yourselves be defeated. He'd use you as an example, put you against his very worst. Trust me, you have no idea how bad his worst can be."

"So we take him down from the inside," Batman finished.

I shook my head in disagreement again. The league's eyes widened in shock, "You fight to survive, then you handle whatever guards he has from the inside out. The team will be the ones to face him."

"The team? They're training. There's a reason they aren't part of the league," Green Arrow protested.

"You were the ones to choose them for this training and look at how far they've come! Don't trust me, trust them. If I'm going to end all this, once and for all, then the team are the only people I can do it with."

Batman nodded in both respect and agreement, and that was enough for the rest of the league.

"Good. Now that we're in agreement, let's go over what the three teams will do, plus the villains," I raised a hand to stop any protests, "The vast majority of the major league villains have been in contact with me, Nightwing, and Kid Flash. They want out, they want peace. Some will be working with the league from the inside. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy will come with me and the team, Lex Luthor will be behind the scenes. The Outcasts' main objective is to protect the civilians.

"I've done a lot of research, about how to take away a Chaos Lord's powers, a lot of strange books and spells is what I found, but it's worth it entirely. While my Mother distracts him, I need to gather as much peaceful energy as I possibly can, it's a long incantation that dates back to the beginning of angels and demons. Summoning the peaceful energy into the same place as a chaos demon strips their powers from them long enough for them to be contained, or harmed."

Or killed, I thought to myself. I'd been pondering over that option since I created our final plan. Formerly, I'd been confident in the decision to kill Klarion in front of the Batfamily, but that confidence was a glamor for deep-rooted hesitation. Killing a villain. Not like I hadn't killed before, but I made serious promises to stop killing, to be better. Would killing Klarion really help me achieve that?

"When was he planning to attack number?"

"Because three is not only the devil's number but his as well, he'd have moved the plan three days later than what it originally was. December first. That's when all the shit goes down. We can't mess this up."

"We won't!" Wonder Woman grinned, "We will fight valiantly and end Klarion's villainous regime!"

Closing the computer tabs I sucked in a deep breath and turned back to the people in front of me. Humans, aliens, meta-humans, and overall freaks.

"Thanks you, all of you. You accepted me the first time even when I refused to accept that you were good. When I came back, I thought I'd be thrown in Arkham for the rest of my life, but you let me redeem myself... you've all shown me what it means to do real good in this world, and to believe in what you fight for."

I smiled tearily. The team, and some of the more fun league members and Outcasts surrounded me in a large group hug. Laughing, I wiped my eyes and sniffled. I'd come so far in what felt like days. It was actually nearly four months of hard work and suffering. But as Jason ruffled my hair, and Wally kissed my cheek, I was thankful for it.

"You're all dismissed. Get out of here you freaks."

No one took my words to heart. They all knew it was my way of showing my true love and appreciation for all of them. Wally told me before, that weird nicknames like that meant more to most of them than the word 'hero'.

"Love you too, you little shit," Jason gave my hair a tug and swiftly dodged a punch, sprinting to the zeta-tubes to get away.

"Good speech back there," Dick let out a chuckle, "You could give me a run for my money when it comes to being the leader."

"I'd take the spot if I were actually on the team, make sure you watch your back," I smirked, looking around for Wally. He disappeared after I dismissed everyone, "I'll see you at the manor?"

"Make sure you're back in time for dinner," Dick must have noticed my wandering eyes, "He's in the monument room."

I thanked the ravenette and hurried out of the room. The only time I saw the monument room was in passing or during my first tour, but I knew the cave well enough to find my way there. Quietly, I stepped inside the room dedicated to the fallen heroes. Wally was in the center of the room, arms crossed over his spandex-clad chest.

"What's wrong with you?" I made my way over to him.

"Nothing," Wally gave me a strained smile.

"Wally," I warned lowly.

"You're everything to me, you know that, right?" Diverting, Wally pulled me into a tight hug.

"Wally, what's this about?"

Broken, Wally's eyes filled with tears, "What if you end up in here? What if Bart ends up in here? Or Dick, Artemis, or Bruce- I can't lose any of you. You're too important to me."

"You won't lose-"

"Don't lie to me," Wally's voice crackled with emotion, "Please."

Choosing my next words carefully, I decided on; "We're all here now, and alive. And we need to enjoy it while it lasts. Because we're going into a battle we may not return from. And we can't die knowing we didn't spend every moment showing our loved ones how much they meant to us."

Wally nodded, pulling away from my shoulder to kiss me gently. His grip tightened after that, and he leaned his forehead against mine, sharing my steady breath.

"I love you, I love you, I love you," he repeated it like a mantra, kissing not only my lips, but my face and neck repeatedly, "I love you, (Y/n) (L/n), and I want you to know it."

The light from the monuments was the only light in the room, and I became acutely aware of the fact when Wally's eyes lit up with lightning, brighter than the room.

"I love you too, Wally. I'll love you till the day I die, whether it's on December first or a year from now, or a hundred years from now. And if there's a life after death, then I'll love you there too."

Pulling him closer than I could have imagined, I pushed my lips against his. We stayed there, professing our love in hushed tones, because we didn't need to shout our proclamations to the world to know how true and pure our words were.
