A hen in the wolf house (18)
"So you're what-? Working for Skye's father now?" Coulson asked. He didn't like the way Raina was treating him, and oh, she would know that.
"I'm just trying to make the best out of a difficult situation," she replied.
"With threatening the life of one of my agents?"
"By allowing one to found out who she really is. That's what Skye has been searching for her whole life. Ask her yourself, agent Coulson. She's here, isn't she? Listening..."
Sanchez, who was at another table with Hunter, softly whistled.
"You're getting it now?"
She saw in his eyes he did.
"Skye needs to know that her father loves her very much, that she was taken from him against his will. He spend her entire life searching for her. No matter how much you've changed, agent Coulson, deep down you're still a good man. No good man would itentially keep a daughter from her father. Especially when so much is at stake. And you are running out of time."
The display on Raina her Phone showed he had 32 seconds left to make a decision. But a good man was never unprepared.
"Give Skye what she's Always wanted," Raina said. "Or else, agent Simmons dies."
He gave the Phone back to Raina.
"No deal."
Raina was definitely surprised by this answer. It wasn't what she had counted on.
"Look, we can fix this," She said. "No one needs to get hurt."
Coulson just smiled at her.
"Please..."
Time was up. The file had been send to all computers in the Hydra system.
At exactly the same moment, Simmons had just entered the lab at the Hydra facility, but everyone was murmling to each other, and a lot of people were looking at her. She walked to her spot, but then she saw the photo.
They knew.
"There she is. Get her!"
Bakshi had came into the lab, accompanied by some soldiers. Simmons started to run, but then, power went out. She decided to make use of the situation, and ran out of the lab, through the hallways. But when from one point the lady of security came into her direction with some of her people, Simmons knew she was in a lot of trouble.
The head of security took two sticks from her back, and knocked the two soldiers she had had with her out in less then a minute. Simmons... She had no idea what was happening.
At the same moment, lights went out in the hallway, and the emergency lights went on.
"What is happening?" Simmons gasped.
"Don't worry, Coulson has a plan. But I don't know what this electricity problem has to do with it."
She grabbed Simmons by her arm, and they started to ran.
"I don't mean to sound ungrateful, because I am truly grateful, but who are you?" Simmons asked.
"Bobbi Morse. Coulson sent me in to infiltrate HYDRA and keep an eye on you."
They could hear screams coming out of the labs. Screams of pure fear. Simmons looked at Bobbi, and she knew that this was definitely not part of the plan.
"Well, you did a spot-on job, really. You were quite intimidating. But that isn't part of the plan, is it?"
"Sorry about that," Bobbi quickly said. "I had to assess other security issues that were in play. And keep running, that's indeed not a part of the plan."
Simmon rolled her eyes when Bobbi mentioned security issues.
"Yeah, like every HYDRA agent receiving an e-mail blowing my cover?"
"Yeah, that was a curve ball."
They could hear a monsterous roar, and both of them knew something was going wrong.
"Keep running."
"I'm sorry, but I'm affraid there is no way we can walk out the front door," Simmons said.
"Don't worry, we just need to get to the roof. There an extraction team is waiting on us. Okay, just wait here, it's all part of the plan."
Bobbi turned around a corner, while Simmons waited in the hallway. From the end of the corridor, she could see bakshi approaching, together with two other Hydra agents, and Simmons ran around the corner, making Bobbi had to take one Hydra agent out she'd been talking to.
"I told you there was a plan-"
"Yeah, I'm sorry, but-"
Bobbi saw Bakshi, and she pushed Simmons with her.
"Okay, you need to go."
Simmons ran up the stairs, tothe roof, but on the roof, there was no one.
"Shit. We're trapped. Where are they?"
A few seconds later, Bobbi ran into her direction, followed by a Hydra agent.
"South west corner, I repeat, South west corner!"
The agent started shooting, and Bobbi fired back, but somehow, the agent just screamed, and jumped from the roof himself.
"RUN!"
They ran to the edge, and jumped, landing on an invisible plane. The team had been waiting all the time.
Quickly, they went inside, and now, Simmons sighed full of relief.
"Welcome back agent Simmons."
"Trip, so good to see you," she smiled. Trip was flying the plane, and it did feel good to see him again.
"Well, you sure know how to make a first impression, agent Morse," Simmons said.
"Please, just call me Bobbi."
"She sure knows how to make a good impression."
When Simmons turned around, she saw someone playing with his Phone. Someone she knew all too well.
"Borguez! But what-"
"Don't ask, girl," he grinned. "Let's just say the Donnie inside Hydra was not who they thought he was."
Simmons sat down next to him, while Bobbi joined Tripp behind the buttons.
"Cargo is on board, clearing Hydra airspace."
"Copy that, SHIELD two-one-eight. Course is set, going back to base."
