A Hen in the wolf house (16)

The tension at the SHIELD base was a bit... Grumpy. A bunch of navy people had been attacked by Hydra agents, with a weapon that worked kinda like the obelisk, and a few of the navy people had passed away, unfortunately.
"Eight dead, six of the navy," Tripp said.
"All part of an anti-Hydra unit."
"Any idea what was used to carry out the attack?" Hunter asked.
"Nope, but the effects are similiar to those of the obelisk," Skye answered.
"We must assume, it is in Hydra's possession," May said.
They all went to Coulson his office, where Coulson was doing... Nothing, actually.
"Heard back from your navy contact?" May asked.
"Radio silence."
"Any chance we can find a way in? Maybe poke around a bit?" Skye asked.
"The entire fleed is closing ranks," Coulson said. "These were their men, no other than the CDC, Navy's top brass had set foot in that room."
"So that's a dead end."
"What about agent Simmons?" Tripp asked. "She is inside Hydra, any chance she has some intell?"
"I'm waiting for her to make contact."
"Sir, what's that?"
"Nothing of your concern."
Hunter and Trip almost jumped through the roof.
"Jeez-"
"Girl, you should really stop doing that," Trip said.
"I won't. Skye, with me."
"What? But-"
"Don't ask questions, and come with me. Now."
Before Skye could say something, Sanchez grabbed her by her arm, and took her to the hallway. They took a few corners, and when they were close to the shooting practice area, they hold stil.
"What is going on?"
"Before we even start, I'm sorry, but you'll understand in the end."
Before Skye could even move, Sanchez had broken her neck. She had killed her.

"You two, come with me."
Simmons and Kenneth dropped all their work immediately, and followed Bakshi out of the lab. Mr. Bakshi was this kind of man... You would do what he asked before he had even asked.
He leaded them into a meeting room, together with other members of Hydra's science division, and gave them a folder.
"Look these over."
They sat down and started to read through the information, but Kenneth made a surprised gasp.
"O my god."
"What is it?" Simmons asked.
"That's Daniel Whitehall," Kenneth explained. "One of Hydra's new heads."
"Good day," Whitehall greeted the room when he entered, accompanied by a lady in a black lab coat.
"I've brought you all here, because I need your help."
"We recently attempted to reverse engineer the effects of an alien artefact," the lady next to him started. "Using tissue samples of one of his victims."
On screen, the image of a lady of stone appeared, one of the many victims of the obelisk.
"Unfortunately, the results were less then what we'd hoped for," Whitehall continued.
"There were positives," the lady continued. "Many of the deceased were enemies of Hydra."
"Some of us are pleased with these small triomphes. Others have other aspirations. Passion, even. Our founder, he had his tesseract. As for me, well, it would be an understatement to say I have waited my whole life to be in possession of the obelisk. To harvest its power. Doctor Simmons, isn't it?"
Simmons, who had been reading through the papers, needed all her power to act like she was supposed to. A good, loyal scientist, who was listening to a briefing of her boss. Everyone at the table looked at her.
"Yes?"
"Bakshi tells me you have a passion for these things yourself. In your opinion, where did doctor Lincoln fail to go wrong?"
"I... I am not entirely sur she did," Simmons replied.
"That's one among us. Please, clarify."
"Well... It is just, we're dealing with alien technology. Alien metals, interacted with biology on a cellular level that is impossible to replicate without a sample-"
"But if it were, would it require the obelisk itself?" Whitehall asked. "Would it then be possible to weaponise its effects?"
"I would think so, yes."
"Excellent. I want everyone prepared when we do."
Whitehall left the room, and everyone started to talk.
Kenneth sighed.
"He knows your name."
"Do you have any idea what this means?" Simmons hissed. "We could kill millions of people, perhaps even billions!"
"Pretty awesome, hm?" Kenneth replied.
Simmons swallowed.

"I don't get you anymore. Really, Andromeda. I don't."
After Skye had woken up, she had gone to May, who had gone to Coulson, and oh, the man was mad. Not in a lightly way.
"I know I have done some things lately, but Phil-"
 "Don't Phil me. Just don't."
He was freaking out. Skye was like a daughter to him - He would never admit it, but she knew- , and the killing and resurrecting part... Oh, he was mad like hell.
"You have been acting more strange then usually, and now this action... If it happens one time more, consequences will follow. Believe me."
He gave her a nod, and she left his office. In the hallway, she sighed full of relief.
He didn't understand. But he would, when he would hear why Dragon was inside Hydra.
He would understand, when Dragon would start to kill everyone inside the building.
