Chapter Three

Above is what Arkain looks like!

The days that followed the incident went by relatively quickly, reports of riots and uprisings had shrivelled down to almost none. News of my reign had spread further than imagined hitting the far reaches of Arcadia quicker than wildfire, with a sigh I stood watching my troops train down below me with a bored expression.

"You don't seem to be yourself Aria, what troubles you in these times of triumph?" I heard an all too familiar voice question, with a huff I turned and fixed my gaze on Herobrine.

"Firstly Herobrine it's Queen Aria, secondly I am unsure myself, something bothers me, I feel like I'm missing something, something doesn't add up, you were once in this situation from what I have discovered of you so do tell me what you did to find out what was missing," I sighed turning back to look over the balcony, he came up beside me and stood looking over the lands before letting out a sigh.

"I went on a journey, I kept going and going until I encountered a human, his village had been recently discovered by my horde but he was far from ordinary, for the first time in over a thousand years I had met the one enemy I could never defeat, he too once rode an Enderdragon like you do today, he and his friends managed to get the End Watchers to aid them which is the true reason for my defeat all those years ago, no matter what I did he and his friends would always beat back my attacks with equal power, after years of battle between the Realms he wlmost managed to destroy me, had the original Nether King not aided me in my quest the End Watchers would have succeeded in putting my conquest to a halt, when the End Watchers and their dragon fell the battle turned and those strangers fled and have been missing for a long time, every day when I am not heeding your call I search for them trying to piece together why they fled, I do have a feeling their disappearance had something to do with your return my Queen, mayhaps your soul desires to find that one enemy that will always fight and always match you in battle," he explained his white eyes focused on the distant hills, thinking over his words I nodded.

"Would you do me the honour of joining me, I wish to venture out and see what my soul desires but doing it alone is a death wish, Arkain will hold up here and by my command will locate us and give me updates on the situation, no one else shall know of us leaving but I am still in need of teaching, you are my wisest asset at this time and with your help on my journey perhaps we might find both your enemy and my own," I suggested, after a few moments he gave a slight nod.

"It would give us a break from here, castles and thrones have never been my strong point, my only request is that we leave the dragon, he will bring more dangers upon us than if we were to move on foot," he agreed, glancing over to Obsidian I hesitated before nodding.

"Alright, Obsidian I want you to remain here and make sure everything stays in order, I am unsure of how long we may be gone but I promise that I shall return," I ordered, with a huff the large Enderdragon gave a nod before taking off to scan over the area. Grabbing my special bag I grabbed a few things necessary for our journey such as weapons and food, taking a final glance at the room I followed Herobrine through the portal that led to the bottom of the castle. Herobrine was strange but he had more experience than I ever would, with his wisdom and my power our journey should be relatively calm or at least I hoped it would.

**Time Skip**

After hours of walking we eventually came across a somewhat open clearing filled with flat rocks and tussocks of grass, glancing sieways at Herobrine I noticed he had tensed slightly.

"Whats got you worried?" I muttered softly, looking over the area I couldn't see a thing wrong with it.

"Use your magic, what do you sense?" He murmured back his eyes darting around the area, summoning a little bit of my magic I sent out a silent sonar which bounced back at a certain point catching my attention.

"I sense a magic barrier, I also sense another form of magic but I can't figure out what," I stated looking around, with a nod he took a step forwards. Following close behind him we soon found ourselves standing before a barely seeable barrier, its magic felt strong and it seemed to make Herobrine tense further more.

"I figured they would have been trying to track my movements after my return but I never thought they would be so close to the kingdom," he grumbled mostly to himself, closing my eyes I placed my hand on the barrier and allowed its energy to pulse through my body. The feeling of being watched soon spread through the hair on my neck like a blast of hot air, opening my eyes I looked around before locking my gaze with two strange blue and red eyes.

"We have company," I hissed through my teeth, for a few moments things went silent before a sudden blast of blinding light had me covering my eyes while they tried to adjust. Lifting my head I felt myself being thrown backwards by a sudden force, bracing myself I managed to stay upright as I skidded backwards. Gritting my teeth I sent out a blast of energy throwing my attacker off course and crashing into the ground, looking around I noticed that we had been surrounded and that Herobrine was locked in combat with a rather strange looking man who's magic I could feel from all the way over here. Summoning two swords I lunged for a rather beautiful looking witch, smirking I lashed out only to be thrown sideways by some stranger with mechanical wings. Snarling I used my magic to teleport us into the sky before ripping her wings from her back sending us plumeting towards the ground, from the look of fear in her eyes I knew she didn't have any magic unlike two of her little friends. As we grew closer and closer to the ground I threw her forwards while using my magic to make me hover in the air, when she collided with the ground I felt the world grow still below me. Placing my feet on the ground I approached the spot she had struck the earth, a sudden blast of blinding energy sent me flying backwards. Bracing myself I collided with a tree causing it to fall at the force, pulling myself up I watched as the stranger lifted the girl from the ground before sending a dark glare my way and vanishing through a summoned portal. Looking over I noticed Herobrine had suffered from some wounds but after such use of our powers we were exhausted, making my way towards him we both sat against a rock pillar to rest.

"What you did was foolish, but at the same time, it helped us even if only slightly in destroying this Realm's final defences," he stated his teeth gritted in pain from a wound he had sustained from the fight, with a sigh I rested my head against the rock pillar unsure of what to do next.
