Percy's POV:

I continued to climb the full day, only stopping to rest and to catch my breath. However, the climb was much easier today than it was yesterday.

"I wonder why its easier today" I muttered as I reached another landing about another quarter of the way up the large mountain. Today was difficult but I didn't have the setbacks I had yesterday.

As I set up camp. I heard a faint rustling of wings but passed it off as birds. After a few minutes I heard a large thud behind me and I turned around to find a large scaled beast.

"A dragon?" I asked as I slowly stood up and looked at it to find it smaller than Vortix and it had no front legs "No, a wyvern" I said as I slowly approached it "Hey, no need to be angry, I was just going to rest here, is that alright" I explained to the beast only to have it roar in my face "Okay no its not okay" I said to myself as the beast flapped its wings causing a gust that knocked me off my feet and pushed me over the edge causing me to curse as I fell

That's when I felt my head hit a rock and I blacked out, the last thought to go through my mind was 'Oh shi...'

(Dream)
Third Person POV:

It's been a few weeks since his conversation with Nicolas and in that time, he was pushed twice as hard. Percy was slowly becoming a fine soldier. However, everything was about to turn for better or worse Percy didn't know but he knew that whatever was affecting Ashley would soon come to affect him.

Percy was with Lucas when Ashley came into the room. Lucas stopped mid strike and glared at Ashley.

"It's not your turn!" Lucas growled but Ashley whispered in his ear causing him to step back and nod slightly

"Percy, I will be going on a mission for Chaos today, so I won't be able to train you for the next few weeks okay?" She said, and Percy nodded already used to this

Every once in a while, Either Ashley's team or Lucas' would be assigned with a mission and Percy would have to train extra hard while they were away. After Ashley explained it he walked off and got a drink of water, Ashley however walked over to Lucas and sighed.

"Take care of him for me, I may not return in one piece if at all" She said with a sad tone causing Lucas to raise an eyebrow "We found some of his forces, Chaos has sent us out to eradicate them, I don't think we are cut out for this kind of mission. It was so sudden..."

"Can't you ask Chaos for a few more days?" Lucas asked but She shook her head

"He was adamant about us leaving as soon as we could and even us getting out to where they are at would prove too long for Chaos' liking" Ashley said, and Lucas put his hand on her shoulder

"I know we may not have seen eye to eye, but in this you need to come back, Percy would be broken without you" Lucas said with a caring voice causing Ashley to look at him

"Right. For Percy" She said, and she pulled back and looked over at the aforementioned boy to see him looking at a spear "I'll see you when you get back, you better not taint him! Or you will have more to fear than Chaos" She threatened before she said her goodbye to Percy and walked out

Over the next few months the training regime was pretty standard, but it seemed like Lucas was pushing Percy harder than normal. Lucas would correct any small mistake that Percy made and would show the right way to do something.

"I am doing this because there is a test coming up soon Percy and I need you to be ready for it" Lucas said and Percy nodded

"Hey Lucas" Percy said as he blocked a strike with his spear "When is Ashley coming back? She's been gone for over a few months now, normally she would send a letter or something, but we've heard nothing" He finished as he countered and thrusted forward with his spear landing a hit on Lucas' side

"She told me she wouldn't be able to contact anyone during this mission apparently it really important to Chaos" he said and Percy nodded as he continued to train

Later that night as Percy was practicing his water abilities using the method Ashley had taught him. He heard a knock on his door and looked over to see Lucas with red eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"Lucas, what's wrong?" Percy asked as Lucas held out a folded letter and leaned against the door

Percy took the letter and read it silently to himself

(Letter)

Dear Percy Jackson,

It is our regret to inform you that your sister, Ashley Jackson, as been declared deceased due to her and her teams radio silence on their most recent mission. We are sorry for your loss.

Sincerely Chaos and Sigma Company

(Letter End)

Percy gripped the letter as tears ran down his cheeks.

"Do they not even care?" He whispered softly as his whole body shook with rage

"Percy..." Lucas said as he stood straight and attempted to walk to the young boy but found him self stumbling back at the aura that suddenly surrounded him

"WAS SHE NOT EVEN WORTH COMING TO SEE ME IN PERSON!!! DO THEY NOT CARE ABOUT HER!!!!" He roared with fury as the water that he was practicing on started to rise up

Lucas' eyes widened in awe at the show of power.

"Percy, I'm sure they care! Just, calm down!" Lucas tried to reason but his words fell on def ears as Percy was consumed by grief

"They will pay! Whoever took her from me will pay with their lives!!" Percy shouted before his aura vanished and he fell to the ground in a heap, his energy clearly drained

However, Lucas wasn't worried about Percy, He was still in awe at the power he just witnessed.

"That wasn't normal magic, that was godly magic... He's a son of Poseidon..." he muttered as he moved forward and picked Percy up "But he needs to control his emotions, if he's a raging storm he will burn out and vanish before he can get anything done. But that short letter was rude to only Percy but to the memory of Ash..." Lucas said before he picked the sleeping boy up in his arms and laid him in a bed "Sleep well Percy, for I fear your troubles only start here" he finished before walking out
