Percy's POV:

I sat on a large boulder overlooking the river as I skipped stones. I was thinking about my dream last night and the woman felt familiar.

"Could it be...?" I asked myself as I skipped rocks and recalled the events that happened in the dream "But what was her name..." I ask aloud not expecting an answer and was happy when I received none "It doesn't matter, I need to get to that mountain" I say as I stand up and start walking again

As I trekked through the tightly wound forest, I continued to hear voices. I ignored them for the most part, but every time I heard my name or heard shouting I looked around only to find images or roots in the shape of bodies or other things. By the end of the day, as the sun began to set, I had reached the base of the mountain and I decided to set up camp.

As I sat down in front of my fire I felt myself calm down. The fire reminded me of the hearth and the hearth of home. I sighed as I calmed my nerves from the trek and thought over what I saw. I noticed what looked like a weapon rack in the woods but when I looked again it was only hanging vines and branches.

I also heard several voices laughing a cruel and mean laugh, as if they were watching someone get beaten to a pulp. I heard a female voice calling out my name in a caring manner. I also heard the young boy from before letting out a scream of rage. It shook me to my core as if something was trying to come up but I was forcing it down.

Once I had a small meal, I laid down in my makeshift shelter and I fell asleep.

(Dream)
Third Person POV:

The young boy woke up to see himself on the banks of the river where he tried to end it all. The man in black still fresh in his mind but he didn't know what the man was talking about.

"Hey kid, are you alright?" A female voice asked and he looked above him to see a girl with nut brown hair and Aquamarine eyes looking at him worriedly

"I... I'm fine..." The boy stuttered and the girl shook her head with a small smile

"Well, we should get you to your home, where do you live? Do you know where your parents are?" She asked and the boy grew very sad "What's wrong?"

"I never met my father, mommy said he died at sea, then my mommy was killed..." He said as fresh tears started to roll down his cheeks again "She worked in the camp with me and the others, we tried to escape but... we were caught..." at this point the girl pulls the young boy into her arms and holds him as he cries

"Shhhh, it'll be alright, how about you live with me? I've always wanted a little brother" The girl said, and the boy looked at her and she smiled softly

"A-are you sure?" he asked, and she nodded

"My name is Ashley Jackson, what's your name?" She asked with a wink causing the boy to sniffle and smile slightly

"Percy... Percy Jackson" he said as he hugged Ashley

Ashely hugged Percy back before she turned around and motioned for him to get on her back. Once he was on she stood up and started walking away. After a while they met up with four others, three guys and another girl.

"Ashley are you okay?" The girl asked and she nodded

"Yeah Rose, I'm fine." Ashley said with a smile as Percy tried to hide his head

"Who's the boy?" a guy asked and Ashley chuckled

"He's my new little brother, Percy say hi" She said but Percy only made a quick wave and continued to hide

"Well, welcome to the crew little buddy" The second guy who had red hair said as he walked over to Percy and ruffled his hair

"We need to leave, we've already spent too much time here and we don't want to be caught" the last man said as he checked a device on his wrist

"Right, introductions can happen later let's get going" Ashley said as she pulled out a crystal and everyone got close

Suddenly the crystal flashed and a sphere around them appeared before they were transported to a room. Once there everyone turned to Ashley and Percy.

"So, I guess ill get this started, I'm Rose, user of plant magic" the girl said and Percy noticed she had blonde hair with rose red streaks in it, her eyes were a plant green and she had black marks like vines on her arms

"I'm Vector, master of snow magic and number one looking guy in the realm of Chaos!" Vector said and Percy noticed he had black and white hair with grey eyes

"Alex, the 'hot headed one' of the group. Master of hand to hand combat" the guy with red hair said with a smirk as he punched the palm of his hand

"I'm Titus, master of stealth and assassinations, the clear headed one of the group" the man with the strange device said as he removed his hood and mask to reveal a man with slightly pointed ears

"And you know me little brother, I'm Ashley, user of water magic" She said as she lifted her hand and water came flowing out of a separate room and onto her hand

At this point the dream became muffled and started moving forward at a fast pace. Images of Percy learning that he too could control water came rushing through his mind and Ashley hugging him and congratulating him. Time flew by and as Percy got older he started using his powers more and more. Soon Ashley decided to start training him and that's where he found himself one day.

"Alright Percy, you seem to have some capacity for magic, so the way I learned is to pull from my core" Ashley said as she motioned to her stomach "All magic uses magic power"

"But I don't feel any use of power when I control water, it just comes naturally" Percy said with a confused expression causing Ashley to laugh

"It will feel that way but you are using magic power, I can tell that you have a lot of it. It's a very rare gift that only appears in one out of the entire population of Greece. You are a special child Percy, don't you forget that" She said as she pinched Percy's cheeks

"Sis! Don't do that!" Percy complained as three guys walked into the training grounds

"Well, well, well what do we have here, the weakling water mage. You know its against the rules to bring outsiders into Chaos' realm. Looks like were going to have to put you down like the rest of your pathetic team" The middle man said and Ashley stood in front of Percy

"What did you do to them!?" She yelled and the man snickered

"Just put them in the infirmary for a year or two. Your next then we can rid the realm of the boy" the man said as Ashley took a stance and aquamarine like scales appeared on her face as she tapped into her magic

"You just made a major mistake" She said as she rushed forward "Water dragon storm surge!" She yelled as she jumped into the air and let out a series of kicks that sent out several blasts of wind that blew the men back "Storm dragon, Roar!" She yelled out as she reared her head back and let out a highly condensed hurricane that shot toward the guys who drew a set of weapons that started to glow

The middle guy held up a glowing shield and stopped the attack in its tracks. He then ordered his companions to attack. The one on the right charged straight for Ashley and swung his sword down.

Ashley jumped back and spun around just as a blue circle appeared and a large watery tail appeared.

"Water Dragon Tail Whip!" She yelled out as the tail slammed into the guy and sent him flying, however, an arrow pierced her shoulder causing her to stagger backwards

"ASHLEY!!!" Percy yelled out as he ran forward to help her

"Stay back Percy! I can handle this!" she yelled as she brought her arms back and threw them forward creating two more magic circles "Storm Dragon Wing Attack!" She shouted as two twisters shot out and barreled towards the guys who once again held up their glowing shields to stop the attack

As she was focused on the two guys the swordsmen got up and rushed Ashley before attempting to stab her in the leg. She slid backwards to avoid the attack and brought her knee up into the guys stomach before lowered her arms while crossing them.

"Storm dragon water spout!" She yelled as she lifted her crossed arms up and a swirling spout of water shot from the ground however before she could finish the one guy off three more arrows landed in her other shoulder and both of her knees causing her to fall to the ground

"Who knew defeating this sorry bunch would be so annoying" The middle guy said as he raised a dagger and walked over to Ashley "Take care of the girl, I'll gut the boy"

"Percy! RUN!" Ashley yelled but Percy was frozen in place

He started to have flashbacks to when his mother was killed and a swelling anger inside of him exploded as he closed his eyes.

'Pull from the core Percy' Ashley's voice echoed inside of his head as he reached into himself and felt a well of power

He latched onto it and felt his whole body shudder with immense energy. He opened his eyes which caused some power to escape and allow them to flash as the water around him responded to his command. He raised his arms up into a fighting stance and let out a roar, similar to Ashley's.

"No! I'm done running! I WONT RUN FROM MY FAMILY. NOT NOW, AND NEVER AGAIN!!!" He roared as the water exploded and two serpents shot out and flanked him "LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE!!" He roared again as the air started whipping around him and a personal hurricane protected him as he charged forward

The three guys had regrouped and Ashley was on the floor unconscious. However, Percy's display of power had somewhat frightened them. They were expecting a pathetic thirteen year old boy not a powerful magic user. The water serpents collided with them and sent them sprawling back as the middle guy was hit with Percy's hurricane. In a matter of moments, due to Percy's sheer power alone they started to scramble back, however they then noticed his eyes. They were glowing with a sea green rage but they also pulsated to show his anger.

"What is going on here!!!" A powerful voice said as a man in a black suit appeared floating and surveyed the scene "You three! I Told you to not interfere!!!" The man said as he lowered himself and caused his eyes to turn pitch black "You disobeyed my orders and almost killed Ashley and her team!"

"We're sorry Lord Chaos!" They said in sync as they tried to bow

"No, You are not sorry, but you are exiled from my realm for all eternity, now PISS OFF!!" He yelled as he ran over to Ashley and tried to help her but Percy stood in his way "Boy move! If you want her to live that is" Chaos finished but Percy didn't move out of the way.

Instead, his eyes flickered out and he dropped to his knees and fainted due to sheer power consumption, causing Chaos to rub his temples.

"This team will be the death of me" He said as he flashed Ashley to the infirmary along with Percy but what Chaos didn't see was a black mark swirling on the back of Percy's right hand

When Chaos arrived at the infirmary, the mark on Percy's hand had vanished and with it Percy had become very weak and unstable. Soon Chaos had Percy and Ashley hooked up to infirmary and looked at Percy.

"He's strong, he may be a good candidate... very protective of his adoptive sister" Chaos said and he smiled before he walked out of the room to leave the group to recover

Percy's POV:

I sat up and panted heavily. I looked down at my hands and saw them shaking.

"Ashley... Sis..." I said as I remembered her face yet not of her fate "What happened to my memories... Iota... what happened?"

'I... I don't know, Everything before guardian training is foggy' Iota said and I looked around

"Well the dream started to look up so maybe I should do the same" I said as I stood up and started climbing
