Evening had fallen among the comrades. And while the sun had fallen, their suspicions rose. The soft patter of raindrops filled the silent night sky, the occasional whisper joining the sounds. Taehyung was the only one not shielding himself from the rain as he had persuaded Jungkook into lying him in the soft grass so he could enjoy the sensation of rain on his dry skin. His tail had been in need of water so Jungkook eventually complied, but not without a whine and some gruff reply.

The group men were sat underneath the giant trees, huddled around a campfire which had trouble burning brightly by the soft drops of rain slipping past the leaves. Jungkook had distanced himself and sat the farthest away from the fire since his body temperature was always warm. His ears didn't fixate on the different conversations playing between the other men, as his eyes were solemnly on the merman who was smiling and giggling in the rain. Taehyung's tail was still hurting him but Jimin had promised to try and make a potion to heal the wounds.

Yoongi sat next to Jimin who was busy trying to come up with the right ingredients. He glanced at a rustle in the leaves where a small rabbit hopped its way to Jimin, the boy being too focused to realize the animal wanted to speak to him. So the platina blonde nudged the boy who seemed agitated at him since he interrupted his thought process.

"What?", he hissed at Yoongi who was taking aback by the snappy response.

"I think there's someone who wants to talk to you", he replied, pointing at the small animal sitting close to them on the grass. Jimin glanced at the animal and then back at Yoongi.

"He's cold and can't sleep because of the rain. He saw this fire and just wants to warm up and cuddle", Jimin explained as Yoongi watched the rabbit hop to him and snuggle against his leg, "I told him he could cuddle you".

Yoongi's facial expression made Jimin snicker and he eventually picked up the rabbit and placed it in Yoongi's lap.

"Take good care of him okay?", he told the older, "Give him all the love you can muster". And with a wink Jimin was back working on his potion while Yoongi was left staring at the brown animal snuggled up in his lap.

On the other side of the camp fire, Hoseok and Namjoon were discussing earlier events. They had tons of theories they needed to share, but since no one seemed interested in some scientific talk, the two men only had each other as company. (both men not sure if that was good thing)

"What do you think of Jimin?", Namjoon had asked, getting an unamused look back from the other.

Hoseok crossed his legs and leant back on his arms, staring at the pink haired boy sitting across of him, working on a potion, almost so innocently.

"He's a kitsune of course", he replied, shifting one arm to wipe the fringe out of his eyes, "He can communicate with animals, can change into some powerful creature who glows gold, had nine tales and knows medicine. It's pretty obvious".

Namjoon hummed, "Do you think we can trust him? A creature that powerful could wipe us away with a mere look".

"Since he is on our side and has been fighting for our cause, I guess the only choice now is to trust him", Hoseok mumbled, "He was led to the ocean, the same like us, so whatever force out there wanted us to bond, it also wanted us to trust Jimin".

"And he's the most powerful addition to our team", Namjoon continued, nodding, "Without him or Jungkook we'd be doomed".

"We're important too", Hoseok frowned, sounding a bit offended, "Our brains will be needed in the future".

"And what about Taehyung? For now, he seems like a dead weight since he can't do anything on land", Namjoon sighed, "But it's not like we'll be going back to the ocean and need him there".

"At least he has water powers. Maybe he can throw some epic water balls to people".

"Seems like the only useless person here is Yoongi", Namjoon mumbled, the man coughing awkwardly when he got a dirty look from Yoongi, who had heard the man's words.

"And what about me?"

The two scientists almost jumped two feet in the air by the random voice appearing from beside them.

They heard a click of a tongue and then a sad but sassy voice, "You forgot about me didn't you? It's not because I'm invisible that I don't exist!"

The two scientists chuckled nervously and both felt a smack landing on the back of their head.

"Assholes".

Taehyung, who had been playing in the rain, sighed in happiness when he looked back at the group sitting underneath the trees. Namjoon and Hoseok were being scolded by an invisible Jin. Jungkook was looking into the fire, fumbling with his shirt with the occasional glance in the merman's direction the make sure everything was fine. Yoongi was awkwardly petting a sleeping rabbit while Jimin was trying his best not to laugh at that and work on his potion.

Taehyung smiled and laid himself down, turning his head into the other direction and staring into the distance. He felt the raindrops land on his skin and the night sky cool down his body. With droopy eyes he noticed something nearing from in the distance and he quickly shot up at the realization what it could be.

He squinted his eyes and suddenly started waving his hands to attract the team's attention, but mostly Jungkook's since he knew the werewolf's eyes were always on him. Like expected, the werewolf jumped up at Taehyung's frantic waving and quickly jogged up to him, crouching down to ask what was wrong. But Taehyung had already grabbed him by the collar, "There are people nearing- I don't even know if they are people or mutants but it doesn't matter. They seem to have torches and they are getting closer by the minute so we need to get out of here or hide".

Jungkook followed the direction Taehyung was pointing in and saw a huge group, around thirty men, marching their way.

"Okay okay c'mere", Jungkook mumbled, lifting the merman back into his arms before going to the fire and stomping it out. The team immediately started protesting because of the loss of warmth but they shut up as the words, "Thirty men nearing and we think it means danger", were said before they quickly packed their stuff and ran further into the woods.

The place where their campfire had been was sure to attract the men's attention but they didn't care as the group was already too close to do anything about it.

"Tell me when I get too heavy Jungkookie", Taehyung spoke while the team ran, the werewolf panting because of the extra weight in his arms.

"You'll never be too heavy for me".
