She stared at him. "Why would I help you?" He had just finished explaining the situation on coruscant. "Because if you don't, people are going to die." "How is that my concern?" "People are dying!! You are the only person with the power to stop things!" She stared at him cooly. "I fully understand your need. But you assume I will help you... why?" "Because... the force gave you your power for a reason. This is that reason." She eyes narrowed. "You claim to understand the force?" "No. But I understand duty. If you don't help us it will haunt you forever. " Kodah lowered her eyes. "You are wrong. Any Conscience I had has died long ago." With that she turned and began walking away, her pillar of water collapsing and flowing onto the road ahead of her. Anakin followed her. "Wait!" You can't do this!" His words sounded feeble even to his own ears. She whirled around and glared at him. "The galaxy never sought to help me. Why should I owe it any favors?" The water flowed over her, building until it surrounded her. She raised her hands, and the water carried her away.

Anakin turned to R2. "Can you get a signal buddy? We need to inform the Council of this... development." R2 beeped and Anakin pulled a small holoprojector out his cloak, praying it still worked after the soaking, and turned it on. He waited while R2 found the signal.
Mace Windu and Obi Wan appeared on the screen. "Skywalker." Mace greeted him cooly. "What news to you have of your mission?" "I found the girl master, but she refuses to help us. Obi wan looked concerned. "It's of the utmost importance that you convince her Anakin! The lower levels are already flooded. The city will drown if this girl doesn't fix things." "She says that owes the galaxy nothing and her conscience is dead. Something terrible must have happened to her." Mace sighed. "Whatever the circumstances, you cannot fail. An entire planet is counting it." "Yes master."

After ending the call, Anakin groaned. "Did it ever occur to master Windu that she could drown me instantly if I follow her?" He asked R2. "While let's go. She went this way."
