"Bhabhi, talk to Bhai", Shantanu pleaded to look at Kimaya who just shrugged her shoulder looking at him while changing Avyukt's clothes as he was kicking his legs laughing at his Chachu's condition clapping his hands.
"Like father like son. He is also enjoying my condition", Shantanu spoke glaring at Avyukt who poked his tongue at him.
"Avu, bad manners", Kimaya warned Avyukt who pouted at her acting as the most innocent child in the world.
"And you Shantanu I am not talking to your brother about this thing because it's not his decision surely he likes the concept of getting you married after all your random affairs", she turned to him.
"What is the guarantee that I wouldn't have an affair after marriage", Shantanu asked in irritation.
"Say that again", They heard Randhir's voice making them turn to him.
"You know he didn't mean it in that way", Kimaya said coming in between them knowing how angry this thing made her husband.
"But still he said that", Randhir argued glaring at Shantanu who looked guilty for his actions.
"You want another woman to have the fate like our mother", Randhir thundered making Shantanu shake his head immediately.
"You know how much I hate our father till date for what he did and I don't want another man like him in our family", Randhir told him picking up Avyukt who looked excited to go out with his father.
"I don't love him either", Shantanu spoke looking at Randhir.
"Than I do expect better from you", Randhir spoke without looking at him moving out.
Kimaya was about to follow them out when she stopped choosing to talk to Shantanu at the moment.
"Come here", she asked Shantanu sitting on the bed. Shantanu sighed before coming near her sitting on the bed while putting his head in her lap.
In this year, Shantanu always stayed with Randhir and Kimaya. He never realized when he started to see Kimaya as his actual mother.
"I know it is a difficult decision to have a fixed partner in your life after all your flings but you need to understand Shantanu no matter how powerful you are, you need a support system. You need to have that somebody in your life who would stay beside you no matter what. You need to have that somebody in your life who would know you for who you are not what the world sees you as, who would know your weak points more than your strong ones, in front of whom you could show your real self. You don't have to be scared of her judging you", Kimaya spoke as Shantanu sighed.
"I know Bhabhi but I am not like Bhai. I don't think I am a family person. I don't know how to work well with responsibilities. I am fine being Bhai's shadow. I can never be like him", he told her.
"Shantanu, I know you consider your brother to be your role model but don't forget what happened a few times ago. We were about to get separated. Having too much maturity can also break a relationship. I don't think we could've been together again if it was not about Avyukt. He is the person who got us together", Kimaya spoke as he continued to stay silent for a minute.
"Bhabhi, I am scared. If Bhai can do mistakes then I would only ruin things", he told her in a hopeless voice.
"There you are wrong Shantanu, we are not god nor we are demons that we are not going to do mistakes. What makes us greater is to accept our mistakes and apologize for the same. You can't live your whole life alone. These flings would come to an end one day and that day, you would wish to have your own family. And I am afraid that it would be too late to wish for a few things. I am not asking you to get married immediately. Try to know the girl Ma chose for you. I bet she is a good girl and you would be happy together", she told him as he sighed. She smiled caressing his hair.
"I wish to get somebody like you. You really changed Bhai for good", he said suddenly making her smile.
"Well, in that case, it will be very difficult because god makes mistakes sometimes only and I was one of those. You won't find another piece like me", she said making him laugh.
"I hope God made that mistake for me as well", he spoke making her smile. She made him sit beside her.
"Now get ready, you have to go", she told him.
"Bhabhi, you come as well", he asked making her shake her head.
"I have to take care of Avu, he gets uncomfortable with strangers. Your brother is going right. He will give you company", she told him making him sigh as he got up. She picked up his blazer helping him wear it.
"Give me all the updates I will be waiting for them", she spoke which made him smile as he nodded his head before walking out.
--------------------------------------------------
"Mumma and Avu will be home alone today. We will enjoy ourselves", she cooed at her son who was throwing his arms around clapping his hands as her mother played along with him.
They were in the garden playing with each other feeling the February breeze on their face.
"Say Mumma", she said touching his lower lip as he looked at her with his big hazel eyes.
"Ma...Ma", he stuttered trying to form the full word as saliva dripped down the corner of his lips. She smiled at his trial wiping his lips with a clean cloth.
"Pa", he suddenly spoke making her frown.
"No Baby Papa is out right now", she told him but he pointed behind her making her frown. She looked behind only to freeze. She picked up Avyukt pulling him closer to her hiding his face in her neck.
"Oh god", she whispered with fear evident in her eyes.
--------------------------------------------------
Randhir and Shantanu came back to the mansion only to find things scattered around in the living room. They both were worried for Kimaya and Avyukt as they looked around.
"Bhai, what happened here?", Shantanu asked Randhir whose eyes were on a blood patch on the wall. He was feeling scared at the moment.
Just then they heard some sound from upstairs which made Randhir immediately run upstairs. He ran to his room opening the door immediately having his gun in his hands
The door opened as Randhir pointed his gun at his older self. The person standing in front of him smiled before holding the gun pushing it down.
"Son", he whispered which made Randhir take a few steps back.
His eyes fall back to find his wife behind him. Her eyes were teary as he reached back pulling her closer to him. She sobbed hiding her face in his chest as he held her closer to him. Just then he heard the sound of his son crying seeing his mother crying.
"Spend some time with your wife and son. We'll talk later", the man in front of him spoke moving out of the room.
"I was so scared", Kimaya whispered biting her lower lip to lower the sound of her sobs.
"Shh... I am here", Randhir whispered as he made her sit on the bed before picking up Avyukt who looked eager to come in his arms.
--------------------------------------------------
"How did you know about my family?", Randhir asked sitting with the man who saved his family.
"Randhir, I have always kept a close look in your life. I never wanted to let anything wrong with my son", He spoke leaning on his chair.
Kimaya was eating her food silently. She was still scared of what happened.
"Kimaya Bache(baby), nothing is going to happen now. There was a single loophole in the security and I made sure it is fine now", he spoke looking at Kimaya who nodded her head.
"Why didn't you come back if you survived the accident?", Shantanu asked suddenly.
"Still impatient, I see", he stated making Shantanu bite his lower lip.
"So it was you in the mall that day", Kimaya asked suddenly making Lakshman Ahlawat smile looking at Avyukt who was still looking at his father and him with wonder.
"People say Randhir took upon me in looks and brain but I think this gentleman here took upon me with his intuitions as well", Lakshman spoke caressing Avyukt's cheeks who pouted.
"What is his name?", he asked suddenly looking at Kimaya who still looked deep in thoughts.
"Avyukt", Kimaya spoke softly which made her son immediately look at her.
"How did you come to know about the intrusion in the mansion today?", Randhir asked looking at him.
"I saw how much burdened you were with work these days so I have to take care of my daughter-in-law and grandson", Lakshman spoke. Kimaya noticed how experienced and intelligent Randhir's grandfather was. Avyukt already was getting very much comfortable with him as he jumped in his lap.
"Don't trouble him, Yukt", Randhir told him who seemed too ignorant at the moment pulling Lakshman's shirt trying to stand up.
"It's fine, Randhir. He weighs nothing", Lakshman spoke looking at Avyukt who looked so much like him.
"I wonder why all the firstborns in the family look like you, Dadu", Shantanu asked looking at Randhir who seemed too lost in his own world to hear him.
"Avyukt did take upon his hair color from his mother though", Lakshman spoke making Avyukt turn to his mother who was looking down feeling weird right now. In a day only they were attacked than saved by a man, she thought was dead and her son looks exactly like him. She feels so weird right now.
"Ma... Ma", Avyukt called making her look at him before sucking her thumb gesturing him to be hungry.
"Umm, he is hungry", she spoke with discomfort not knowing what to call him. Should she call him Pitaji like Randhir or Dadu like Shantanu?
Lakshman nodded letting Avyukt go.
"You can call me Pitaji like Randhir. You are no less than my daughter for me", Lakshman spoke making her smile. She now knew why he said Avyukt had his intuition. He knew how to read minds as well.
--------------------------------------------------
"Am I disturbing something?", Lakshman asked knocking on the door while Kimaya was making Avyukt sleep.
"Yes, please. Why are you asking?", Kimaya politely spoke giving him space to sit on the bed while she made Avyukt sleep on the bed.
"I wanted to have a talk with you", Lakshman spoke as Kimaya nodded.
"I know Randhir had done many mistakes in his life and I am not saying he has changed because he hasn't", Lakshman spoke as Kimaya choose to stay silent.
"I know whatever happened and about Avyukt as well. I can see you are still a little scared of the future and I am not saying you are wrong because you are absolutely correct", Lakshman spoke.
"It's just I am too proud of my upbringing. I taught him not to do a mistake twice so you don't have to worry about that and if somehow he does something wrong in the future, you know you've me beside you", Lakshman spoke as Kimaya blinked in surprise clear in her eyes.
"He loves you and he is nowhere like his father. Give him a chance, I can see still he feels like you've not forgiven him", Lakshman spoke as Kimaya sighed.
"Pitaji, I won't lie to you. I've forgiven him the moment I gave birth. I've seen how much worried he was for me. My heart knows he can't do anything wrong to me but my brain still makes me remember whatever he did. You've seen him years ago. He had changed since then. Now, it's like he considers me his obsession without whom he couldn't survive. I just don't want to go so closer to him that if somewhere in the future something happened and we got separated, he would get affected emotionally. I took him to a psychatrist. He also said the same thing. Going too much closer to him would only make me his habit that too a bad one. I don't want to be the reason for his ruin", she spoke.

I know not a good enough update but the next chapter would be better I promise.
