Chapter two

" Leilani I loved your writting ! Please come stand here and read it for your classmates! " Mrs.Hugh asked .

Oh no this can't be happening to me....

What if they guess what happened?
I don't wanna be the center of attention ..

" Leilani! Are you okay ? " Mrs. Hugh's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

" Y-yeah I'm f'fine ! " I say nervously.

" Well then come read your writting!"

I stood up weakly , and  walked towards Mrs. Hugh feeling bunch of eyes on me and my chest tightening.

The teacher hands me my paper and I take it with my hands shaking like crazy.

I tried to stand properly catching Jenna and Damian's eyes on me.

" Go on !" My english teacher snapped me out of my thoughts for the second time today.

I clear my throat and start reading the words on my paper.

"  Her Dark Soul had her Light , she was happy and cheerful, she had a family that she loved although it was far from perfect, a friend who was more than a sister to her " I take a deep breath and catch Jenna's eyes.

"-and a person with whom she was deeply in love . " I stare at Damian for a moment then look away feeling tears build up , I take a deep breath and continue "-B-but she lost all that the day the person she trusted and loved  deceived her , he disapointed her in the most damaging ways. She was thinking too much about what had just happened to h-her" my voice cracks at the last word and a tear ran down my cheek , I shoved it away almost immediately trying not to look at anyone .

" She couldn't help but wonder 'How could this happen? What did I do wrong ? How can I live and face everyone I know after this?' so s-she-"
I knew that Jenna and Damian can guess that the girl in the story is me , and the next part was very hard for me to say .

" S-she thought about l-leaving the world forever b-but then she thought about her mother and surroundings , she couldn't leave that way , they'd blame themselves. She couldn't look at her friend's eyes because she knew everything would be exposed that exact moment , and she couldn't risk that so she did what she thought was best and walked out from her friend's and even from the person she loved's life , she couldn't tell him what happened to her because he would see her differently then . Now she's just a lost dark soul, lonely, broken, damaged and devastated , a dark soul that lost her light."

I could feel the tears I was holding on the edge of streaming .

I look up at Mrs. Hugh " Can I please go to the restroom I don't feel well ! " I asked her shakily.

" Yes sure ! I think it's best if you go to the nurse , you look pale! " She said with concerned eyes.

I nod at her and take my bag , then I storm out of the classroom without pulling my head up.

Once I was away from the classroom , I collapsed on the ground with tears streaming down my face   .

I cover my face with both hands and try to stop the tears.

I feel a mixture of emotions right now.

"Why ? Why didn't you tell me?"

I look up and see Jenna looking at me , tears streaming down her face like waterfall.

I wanted to avoid her again and make her hate me , but I couldn't do that anymore.

I really need her right now.

Rapping my arms around her I held her tightly , I held her like I'm never going to let her go.

She was taken aback at first but It didn't take long for her to hug me back .

Tears doubled in my eyes and I started shaking , the emotions I was letting go of were just too strong .

" I'm s-sorry ! I'm sorry I wasn't there f-for you !" she whispered as her voice cracked.

I shook my head in dissaproval and pulled away from her so that I can look right in her eyes " I'm t-the one who p-pushed you aw-way ! "

" But I should've known ! You suffered on your own all this time and all I did was watch you!" she says.

I tried to shake my head at her but my vision suddenly went blurry , and then complete darkness.

" Is she gonna be okay? " a familiar voice said.

"Yeah I think she didn't have her breakfast so she needs to eat when she wakes up !" I heard a woman say.

I opened my eyes slowly , and soon enough Jenna's face appeared in front of me , and behind her was a woman who I recognized as the school's nurse.

" What happened ?" I asked trying to sit correctly.

Jenna turned to me and gave me a small smile " You fainted ! I guess you didn't have breakfast."

" Oh. " was all i could say.

" You can leave when you're ready ! And make sure she has her breakfast! " the nurse said to Jenna before she left us alone in the room.

" Come on lets get you some breakfast ! " Jenna said standing up and grabing her bag.

I nodded and stood up as well. I grabbed my bag before I noticed another grey bag on the chair.

" Who owns that bag? " I asked.

" Oh it's Damians' " Jenna said " He just went to the toilets ! he should be back by now! "

" D-damian was h-here? " I asked nervously.

" Yes ! He was really worried about you , well we both were actually!" she said with a sad expression.

Before I could say something , the door opened to reveal Damian Adams , the guy I'm in love with , the guy I avoided for a year, and the guy who I ditched on our date.

I suddenly felt nervous  .

He looked up at me and smiled.

" Oh you woke up ! How are you feeling ? " he asked casually.

All I could do is stare at him .

Is he seriously talking and smiling at me?

He should hate me ! He should NOT care for me ! After all those hurtful words I told him he's still here?

" Leilani? " He repeated.

" U-um ! I-I'm f-fine ! " I replied avoiding his gaze " Let's go Jenna! "

Damian furrowed his eyebrows obviously curious" Where are you guys going ?"

" Leilani needs to have breakfast so I'm taking her to Maddys' "

" Okey then I'll go with you ! You guys need a ride anyway."

WHAT?

NO NO !!

Jenna pleaase say noo!!

" Yes sure! "

Oh my god ! How am I supposed to react next to the guy I ditched , avoided AND insulted?

Yes I insulted him once so that he'll hate me ! I told him things like " Why don't you fucking leave me alone " or " I hate you " Which was harsh and definitely a lie.

" You don't need to ! And you shouldn't be skipping class , It'll get you in trouble ! " I said dryly.

He stared at me for a while as if he was reading right through me before he replied " It's cool ! Don't worry I won't get in trouble . "

I shrugged and acted like I don't care even though It really mattered to me.

We headed to his car and took the road  to Maddys' .

The ride was very awkward , I was sitting on the backseat and Jenna on the front one . I caught Damian looking at me from time to time and I did my best to look away .

Minutes later we got there , I ordered some pancakes and coffee and Jenna went for Brownies.

Damian didn't order anything , he just sat there and stared at me , which made me uncomfortable.

When we finished we got back to the car to head back to school.

" Guys I should go somewhere ! You go without me . Oh and Leilani I'm giving you a lift after school , we have a lot to talk about ! " she didn't  even wait for my answer and rushed to wherever she was heading to .

WAIT .

If she left that means It's just me and ...DAMIAN.

I turned to look at him and found that his hazel eyes were already boring into my brown ones.

" Ready? " He said with a small smile.

It's about to go down.
