The next morning, Felix thought of helping Adrien use sunscreen to protect him the same way people use sunscreen to prevent themselves from getting severe sunburn at the beaches.

"Uhh....it smells weird," Adrien said.

"Of course it does. The smell always reminds me of going to the swimming pool or the beach. But this is real. Summer is always the best year for everyone to use sunscreen to go to the beach" Felix applied it on Adrien's face, neck, and arms.

"Except it's not summer right now," Adrien said.

"Now for a test. If it works, we gotta know how long it lasts" Felix said.

"If you say so," Adrien said hesitantly.

Feeling too scared to get painfully burned again but he really wants to see Marinette again. He wouldn't stop thinking about her this morning.

He put his hand in the sunlight and did not feel any burn on his skin.

"How do you feel?" Felix asked him.

"Like a human," Adrien said.

"It's working then" Felix replied.

"Hopefully I don't sizzle in public by how long it lasts. And of course, the news got out about a 'psycho catman' by Chloe" Adrien using air quotes.

"Looks like Paw Noir's legacy is ruined" Felix joked.

"Not yet. Not all believe her" Adrien said before borrowing Felix's black hoodie in case the sunscreen doesn't last.

"Good" Felix took another hoodie.

"Don't you think it feels the same thing like what Cerise is doing with disguises?" Adrien adjusts his eyes to put blue contacts in.

"Well, we're doing it for a reason. People can't know that Adrien Agreste is still alive yet" Felix said.

"They all don't know what happened to him," Adrien said before putting his sunglasses on to avoid too much daylight blinding his eyes.

"Yeah. Let's go" Felix goes out.

"I mean having fun right now would help me adapt more. I forgot what fun is like. In the Agreste family was all about perfection rather than doing what non-rich people do in life" Adrien said.

"Now you can enjoy 21st century fun," Felix said.

"Totally," Adrien said before giving his ticket to the entrance.

Once inside he was amazed at all the attractions. Even snacks too were so much different than his world. Like those that didn't exist during 1885, like cotton candy that came 12 years after he disappeared.

"What is this?" Adrien asked.

"Cotton candy," Felix said.

"Do you eat it?" Adrien asked.

"Yes, try one" Felix bought one for him.

"Looks like a fluffy cloud than I expected," Adrien said before eating them and felt like it vanished inside his mouth, "Hmm.....not bad. I like it"

"Glad you like it," Felix said.

He spots Sabrina talking to Zoe about Chloe and Zoe tells her that her half-sister spotted a catman the other night but she thinks Chloe was being delusional.

"She's talking about me," Adrien thought.

"What did you do now, man?" Felix asked.

"I frightened Chloe," Adrien said.

"Are you crazy? She'll expose your ass" Felix said.

"She has no proof," Adrien said.

"Dude, she'll force her father to spread the news which already did now on the news" Felix hands him popcorn since he ate half of it.

"We'll see about that," Adrien said as they went through the carnival, "I'm surprised it's electric too. Ay! Isn't that unsafe?" Adrien saw a very fast ride that went so fast to the upside-down loop.

"Yes, and few can take it," Felix said.

"More like their stomachs can't take it" Adrien cringed at knowing they'd vomit any second.

"Of course," Felix said.

"Hopefully someday I can meet your mom and the family. I just don't wanna have them freaked out like if they think I came from the dead" Adrien ate popcorn.

"Grownups are complicated to think fairytales aren't real. For example, if an animal talked, it would snap their brains like a spaghetti. That's another reason why young children don't go crazy with imaginations" Felix said.

"Yeah, indeed," Adrien said.

He spots Marinette at the bench doing her sketches since she didn't come here for fun but to enjoy the day. She's not very much into rides since she lost very much of her enthusiasm in herself. For some reason, she had a satisfied smirk on her face, possibly after hearing that Claw frightened Chloe.

"I know that look. You wanna spend time with her" Felix said.

"No, I'll let her be," Adrien said.

"But you said you wanna protect her from two psycho bitches making her life a living hell. Being a vampire like yourself, you'll go savage and so pissed off if Marinette gets physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt. Perhaps also theoretically and metaphorically too" Felix getting in his head.

"Are you encouraging me?" Adrien hands him back the popcorn.

"Correct. Now go try talk to her" Felix said.

"She's scary when she's angry," Adrien said.

"And pissed-off girls can sometimes be sexy. Just like the rest of the girls think Claw Noir got a sexy ass" Felix snickered at his ego.

Adrien took a deep breath and walked up to Marinette, "Hey there Marinette"

"Oh, it's you" Marinette glares at him.

"I respect your wishes. I get that" Adrien said but Marinette didn't reply and kept drawing.

"I know it's hard to trust again. I've been there before. Anxiety can be cruel to anyone" Adrien said.

"What makes you think I can trust again?" Marinette asked.

"We both have traumatized lives. Having a trusted friend is what it means to not feel so alone" Adrien said.

"It's better to be alone," Marinette said.

"Why?" Adrien asked.

"No one can hurt you," Marinette said.

"I would never hurt you," Adrien said.

"I hardly know you, other than you're Felix's British cousin" Marinette replied.

"But I didn't lie when I said I like Chinese and French," Adrien said.

"And?" Marinette wanted to hear more.

"They are both beautiful," Adrien said.

"Yeah, right" Marinette resumed sketching.

"I'm serious. I know you're in pain and Chloe caused it, but letting her constantly bully you isn't gonna get you anywhere. She's only waiting for you to be broken and I'm not gonna let her succeed. You still have a whole life ahead of you and I'm not gonna let Chloe ruin your hopes and dreams like that" Adrien said.

"She's done more than enough" Marinette said.

"You can't let her think she won. It's not right" Adrien said.

"Sabrina came to her senses and left school to forget she ever trusted a bitch. The pain doesn't go away, Aiden. It's not easy for memories to go away" Marinette said.

"True, but you need to look into the future and not live in the past." Adrien sat next to her.

"Easy for you to say when I'm stuck in school with her," Marinette said.

"The more you act like this, she won't stop, ever!" Adrien continued.

"Oh, really? Like that creepy cat she talked about last night? She's gonna file a report about this!" Marinette said.

"Nobody's gonna believe her. That cat vanish like air" Adrien said.

"Oh, he's real all right. I met him once and he was like a creep. Stylish but still creepy" Marinette said.

"Like a biker or a serial killer?" Adrien guessed.

"Probably both" Marinette scoffed and went to try and find a ride to clear her mind off, not caring if this boy tags along.

"Maybe" Adrien saw she was heading for the rollercoaster.

He couldn't get caught at all when he's wearing a wig but he hopes she'll be safe on the ride. So he just stayed on the ground. He felt Plagg bite his pec and he stifled his yelp like Plagg could not wait any longer to eat something.

"Ok ok. But in private" Adrien hides in the restroom.

He gasped that there were mirrors and quickly hid in the toilet cubicle, "Ok Plagg, eat up" He fed his kwami.

"You owe me" Plagg munched his cheese.

"Yeah, I know" Adrien quickly gets out of there before anyone sees he lacks a reflection.

Once outside he saw Marinette get on the ride. He goes to talk to Sabrina about the situation and hopes she will come back to help.

"Hello there Sabrina" He greeted her.

"Hello Aiden," She said.

"Change of mind?" Adrien said.

"I'm interested in this plan you have in mind to end Chloe's tyranny," Sabrina said.

"So do I but remember Cerise, she's persuasive and shifty like a fox. She's using Chloe as her pawn and Chloe is not the smartest one to ever have second thoughts. Gather every information Chloe or Cerise is planning to do" Adrien said.

"Got it" Sabrina nodded.

"Just between you and me, Cerise is not her real name. It's Lila. Hence the pun name is like Lie-la. A compulsive liar" Adrien said.

"I can't believe Chloe is being foolish to trust a liar who can backstab her! I tried to warn her but she thinks I was utterly ridiculous to be her friend I never could be" Sabrina felt so angry that the one who is ridiculous is Chloe.

"I can't say I blame you" Adrien replied.

"That's another problem. My dad used to be friends with Chloe's father. But every so often, my father became reckless by following the mayor's orders by arresting the wrong suspect" Sabrina said.

"Talk about abusing the law," Adrien said.

"Welcome to her world. The only thing she's happy about is making sure everyone is miserable. Including the one she hopes to get broken" Sabrina gestures to Marinette who had a little nausea from the ride.

"Not for long. I can see that Marinette one day will finally stand up herself" Adrien said confidently.

"No one tried to help her. Chloe forced everyone to never be friends with Marinette. It was like a law from Chloe and I bet you broke that law from her" Sabrina said.

"Yeah, I'm not even from Paris" Adrien lied.

"Good. She only controls those who are from Paris" Sabrina said.

"Yeah, I know" Adrien agreed.

Suddenly, civilians were running from something causing a disturbance in the fun fair. One was a mime and the other a magician.

"Great, trouble ahead!" Adrien saw them.

"Make way for my magic performance!" Said the magician.

Bringing balloons, prize toys rides to life like inanimate objects to reanimate objects. Sabrina ran to get away from the chaos happening at the fun fair.

"It's hero time!" Adrien ran to transform.

"And how are you gonna explain to your lady that it's daylight?" Plagg gave him another sunscreen.

"I got no time for this! Everyone out there is in danger!" Adrien applies sunscreen on his face, "Plagg, claws out!" He transformed into Claw Noir.

He rushed out seeing the magician enchant several objects to attack while the Mime used an invisible crossbow.

"Oh, shit. Their magic is so real now!" Claw Noir said, never faced anything more powerful than himself.

"Incoming!" Ladybug swung in.

Claw Noir stopped the incoming objects with his telekinesis and tossed them back to them before they almost hit Ladybug.

"How are you....?" Ladybug asked how he was in daylight.

"Long story! Right now we got real problems more powerful than me!" Claw Noir said.

"Awww....how romantic! Tomcat has come to save his love-bug!" Magician taunted.

"I am not his love-bug!" Ladybug spun her yoyo.

"But we do look adorable together!" Claw Noir said before extracting his claws, "You're mine, Mr. No Speak!"

The Mime then targets Claw Noir and fires an invisible arrow. Ladybug dodged the sharp playing cards with electricity.

"Enough cards up your sleeves! Lucky charm!" Ladybug summons it.

"Dry ice?" She got a bag of dry ice.

"Dry ice?! What does that mean?!" Claw Noir asked while pushing an invisible tank the Mime was riding.

"Solid form of carbon dioxide" Ladybug explained and threw it into a nearby water tank.

A large amount of smoke spread around the area, "You think you can hide with steam?" The Magician waves her wand.

"Not exactly!" Ladybug said since someone undead can see.

"RAWR!" Claw Noir pounced at Magician.

Ladybug can see the shape of a sword in the fog of dry ice. So she dodged the Mime's attack and kicked him.

"You can't see or speak?! Seeing is believing!" Ladybug shacked him.

"Good job, Ladybug!" Claw Noir fought The Magician.

"When this is over, we need to talk!" Ladybug said but the dry ice fog was clearing up by the magician's reanimate air blower for balloon trampoline for kids.

"In private, yes!" Claw Noir was standing back to back with Ladybug.

"Ever came across these crooks with sorcery like this?" He asked.

"No! This is the first time I faced one!" Ladybug said.

"Then you'll be the first to fail to save two incidents at once!" The magician caused the rollercoaster to go out of control and the Grande Roue De Paris wheel to roll.

"Oh crap!" Claw saw the wheel break off and roll down the city.

"The ride!" Ladybug said.

"Go for the wheel! I'll stop the ride!" Claw Noir said.

"Got it!" Ladybug swings after the wheel to try to stop it.

"Get the hell out of the way, creeps! I don't want to hurt you!" Claw Noir demanded.

"And you're certainly no Paw Noir!" The Magician said and gestured to the roller coaster.

He jumped to the rails of the ride and held out his hand to stop the ride from going too fast to prevent the civilians from dying. He strains to slow it down as best as he can until it does.

"I'm a cat with nine lives than anything like Paw Noir!" He jumped down to face these crooks, "Let's say I'm descended from the mighty goddess Bastet"

The Mime was about to make another move but Claw Noir speed flashed behind him, "Boo!"

The Mime gasps quietly before he was knocked out.

"You think I should be scared by a hooker like you?!" The magician tried to cast magic on him but he was not affected.

"That type of magic doesn't work on vampires. And I'm no hooker, but your worst nightmare" Claw Noir said menacingly.

"It's way too early for Halloween, hooker!" The magician casts the merry-go-round horses to come to life.

"DON'T CALL ME A HOOKER! CATACLYSM!!!" Claw Noir yelled and used his attack, "Where you're going, every day will be like Halloween!" He smashed the horses one by one using his great strength.

The wand moved out of her with a telekinetic pull and Claw Noir cataclysm it, "No more black magic for you" He knocks her out.

He then forgot that his lady was dealing with a runaway wheel and innocent lives were on it. If it stops rolling, it will fall along with people in them to face death. So he pole vaulted by extending his staff. He can't expose his supernatural in front of the public but he can try a little bit. So he flew over to aid Ladybug.

Ladybug tried everything to slow it down but couldn't risk endangering the people in it, "Come on! COME ON!" She struggled.

Claw Noir jumped down next to her, "I can't risk a supernatural in public! There! That Diamond triangle thing over there!" Claw Noir points at the Louvre.

"You sure about it?" Ladybug asked.

"I hope I am! Give your best try to slow it down while I use my supernatural powers to slow it down!" Claw Noir concentrates on using telekinesis to slow it down while Ladybug pulls with her yo-yo to turn its direction towards the Louvre.

"ARRRGGGHHH!!!!!" Claw Noir strained.

If it hits too fast, the Louvre pyramid glass could shatter and the feline vampire tries as hard as he can to slow the momentum down.

"Come on! TRY HARD!" He finally stops it, "ARRRGGHHHH!!!"

Ladybug swung down to him after they stopped the wheel. The feline felt drained from doing that, nearly wobbly before he almost passed out.

"You did it, Claw. You saved them" Ladybug caught him.

"Did I get burned?" Claw Noir felt woozy.

Ladybug checked him and saw so far no burns on his skin, "No, but how?" She asked.

"Sunscreen" He replied.

"That explains the smell like going to the beach or swimming pool," Ladybug said.

"Ah yeah. Also, you did well too" Claw Noir said.

"Uh, thanks" Ladybug replied.

News crew, reporters, and police cars arrived at the scene of the wheel next to the Louvre. They had to carefully take the people out of the wheel while some interviewed Ladybug and Claw Noir.

"Uhh.....what's going on?" Claw Noir asked Ladybug.

"You're today's hero alongside me," Ladybug said.

"Ladybug, is this cat your partner?" The reporter asked.

"Ummmmm..." Ladybug wasn't sure what to say.

"I'm Claw Noir, a nocturnal cat to be out at night" Claw Noir said, knowing he's just gonna be nocturnal.

"But for now you didn't have to, Kitty" Ladybug smugly grinned.

"In emergency cases" Claw Noir winks at her.
