Ancestor meets Descendant

The lonely living 19th-century catman sobs at how he caused this to himself by letting that woman curse him into a vampire and force him into the prison of darkness in that coffin for over a century.

"If only I didn't push her so hard into hatred and rage" Claw Noir wept in his palms.

The city he remembers was now remodeled into a modern world. He's never seen cars that no longer need horses anymore. The Eiffel Tower now had magic lights that shimmered at night was amazing.

"You would have loved this, Gustave" He remembered its creator.

"Dad, I'm so sorry I let you grieve. I let you down" He sobs at how much he would think his father felt for his disappearance or to think he was dead.

When in reality it was Lila who stole his humanity from him. Including the end of the Agreste family from his father's side but here he is the one still standing but the world believes he's gone.

"How am I going to live like this?" He sighs and wipes his tears.

He can't die, age, eat normal food, or walk in sunlight. Lila was right that this immortal curse is an endless suffering.

"No! I gotta face the descendants now! They have to know I'm the last Agreste left in the family! Lila caused this and I'm not gonna let her do the same to this Felix guy. My distant cousin, I suppose" Claw Noir said before morphing into a bat, noticing that it's nearly almost sunrise and he can't be in the daylight hours.

He flew directly to the mansion. There were a few changes of the garden, the windows, and even the front steps of the entrance. They were all asleep by now but for this vampire cat, he would sleep in daylight hours. The window of his room was no longer his room anymore but the descendant of the family now.

He transformed and flicked his finger to unlock the locks of the windows from the inside. He carefully snuck inside without waking Felix up. The photos of himself when he was born and to today, the family looked nice but the father did not look cheerful or nice. And now of today, only he and his mother were in the photo. He could only assume his mother divorced him or she was widowed. The boy looked a hell of a lot like himself, just only distant related.

He opens the door quietly to explore more of the mansion. He saw that it had been redecorated as well. The portrait of his father, mother, and himself was the same since they guessed that his parents built this mansion and were also the founders of the mansion. He missed them very much. The portraits of the previous Graham de Vanily did have blond hair like he and his mother. Starting from the 1st generation, 2nd generation, 3rd generation, and finally the 4th which is his maternal grandparents.

He turned into a rat to not be spotted. Although he didn't realize they have a golden retriever that can smell him wherever he hides. He hears sniffing noises nearby and turns into a spider. And so he hides behind the furniture seeing the dog. The sun was already rising and it was only a matter of time before Adrien revealed who he was but at the same time scared that they'd only see him as a monster and humans fear monsters, even from their own kind who go psycho.

He heard Felix waking up in his former room. "Argos, here boy" Felix whistled for his dog.

The dog, named Argos ran into his room, "Good boy" He pets him.

Spider Adrien morphed back to reveal himself to his future relative.

Felix saw him and was about to scream but Claw Noir did a special power to mute both Felix and his dog.

"Shhh.....do not fear me, child. I am no intruder for you see" Claw Noir said, pacing him.

He can hear a fast pace in his heartbeat of panic, fear, and confusion, "Ah, yes. Tell me, what does your family know about Adrien Agreste?" He asked by snapping his fingers to unmute him.

"First of all, who are you?" Felix asked.

"Seriously? Have you never seen a man with cat ears? Cat eyes? A belt like a tail? These claws? Even mysterious powers I just did on you? Man, this century really changed a lot" Claw Noir said.

"Ooookay, I think I am so definitely dreaming. This is not real" Felix thinks he's still asleep in a dream.

"This is not a dream," Claw Noir said.

He facepalmed that this relative is definitely a bit like his maternal grandfather, "Okay, just answer my question. What do you know about your ancestors Adrien Agreste and Gabriel Agreste?"

"Not much. But one did pass the story. This girl who I get so annoyed with so much knows the story of her ancestor who was at a party during when the construction of the Eiffel Tower and used to love Adrien Agreste. She said he went missing or was presumed killed. They never found the body. It drove my great-great-great-great uncle into despair that he had no choice but to pass the fortune to his late wife's family side to carry on the legacy since there were no more Agrestes anymore. That's all I know" Felix said, unsure why he explained the story to a stranger.

Adrien knew this was Lila's doing and guessed that her descendant was around, "Hmmm....I suppose some stories can hold deceptions at times to hide secrets" Claw Noir said, looking at the photos of Felix's family, "Some families hide secrets from their children, some hide secrets to never let history repeat. What if your ancestor was never dead?"

"Impossible. There's no such thing as living ancestors" Felix scoffed that this stranger was either delusional or drunk all night.

"Did Adrien ever have kids of his own?" Claw Noir asked.

"No, he was 16 at the time he disappeared" Felix replied.

Argos smelled the stranger and backed away that this was no ordinary person at all.

"What did you do to my dog?!" Felix demanded.

"Nothing. I just muted him. You do see and hear it's real, right? Do you believe in vampires?" Claw Noir gestures to the mirror that he casts no reflection, "Don't scream because I can mute you again"

Felix, unfortunately, felt panic in his body that this was impossible because of his lack of reflection. He was nearly about to faint but Claw Noir caught him, smacking his forehead to wake him up, "Wake up! Get your reaction together and process for like 10 seconds" Claw Noir snapped his fingers.

Felix snaps out of it, "Okay, I wake up and see one vampire cat guy who wants to know about the late Adrien Agreste and muted my dog and me"

"And you're the only descendant in the family? Is there a Rossi family too?" Claw Noir asked.

"Used to but now it's a Bianca family. No sons but daughters. The descendant is far beyond annoying to take an interest in me when I don't have feelings for her. My late father always thinks I'm a match for her. He doesn't know a thing about choosing the right person" Felix said before opening the curtains.

"Whoa! Careful!" Claw Noir moved aside.

"Why not? Oh yes, you can't take sunlight" Felix figured.

"Are you bloody damn crazy?!" Claw Noir growled.

"You made me believe I was crazy at how you got in when all the doors and windows were closed and tight. The only question is why you chose to sneak in the mansion when there are hundreds of residents out there you can sneak in" Felix said, wanting answers by shining the sunlight at him, "Answers now!"

"AAAARGH! Okay, stop! Stop! I'm Paw Noir! Or used to be!" He begged him to stop. The sizzling on his face burned but he quickly moved into the shadows.

"You're what? Impossible. If you were the real Paw Noir, he would be dead by now!" Felix said.

"Isn't this enough?! Well, watch this! Claws in!" He detranaformed.

Felix gasped at the sight of his look-a-like; the clothing was definitely like the 19th century.

"No way" Felix can now see this boy looks exactly like from the old family portrait.

Even his dog was confused too to see two of them alike. No way to tell them apart except their scent he can smell to distinguish.

"It is I, the real Adrien Agreste. Well, used to be. But still the last of the Agreste family" Adrien introduced.

"No way. Impossible. You're a ghost" Felix still feels this is not real.

"Would a ghost really burn in sunlight or hit against walls?" Adrien demonstrated this by bumping against the wall to prove he can't go through walls.

"No" Felix replied.

"What kind of 21st century is this? Technically we are related. You do look a lot like me. Even your mother looks a lot like mine. Emilie Agreste was my mother" Adrien said.

"Yes, but my father looks different. He had a mustache" Felix said.

"I see. Since it's morning, I hope those you live with don't try to kill me. I can't die" Adrien said.

"People can't know you're here," Felix said.

"Fine. But you'll slip words out of your mouth by then. Especially your puppy" Adrien gestures to the dog, which made Argos look down in fear.

"Whoa, I didn't mean it like that. No need to fear me" Adrien said.

"You have a soft side for animals?" Felix raised a brow.

"Of course I do. Paw Noir loved cats and he was the cat's meow" Adrien smirked.

Felix roughly forced him to open his mouth and he wasn't kidding that he did have fangs, "Okay, those are real, sharp, and scary. More like the cat's undead meow"

Adrien pushed him away, "Yes, thanks to that witch I'm forced to live with the new name," Adrien said.

"What? You mean you were not bitten?" Felix made him tilt his neck and saw no bite marks.

"Stop it!" Adrien pushed him off, "And no, I wasn't bitten. It was that night of a soirée where this bitch doesn't leave my ass alone that I have no romantic feelings for her. She probably used evil dark magic to curse me into a vampire so I could suffer. She locked me in a coffin deep in the catacombs" Adrien explained what really happened.

"She who?" Felix wondered.

"Lila Rossi. A compulsive liar who doesn't care who she hurts but she ruined my life" Adrien said.

"Lila? That's Bianca's ancestor" Felix said.

"If you say this descendant is from her, there's no way a descendant can be alike from an ancestor" Adrien crossed his arms.

"I so hate seeing Cerise Bianca getting in my personal space and life. My father put too much trust in her to think she's the one for me" Felix said before heading out of the room.

"My god," Adrien said and his his stomach growled that he needed blood to feed, "Agh! I need.....blood. I can't go savage again!"

He flew through the vents to get out of the mansion. Even if it's daylight out there, he can't go savage to attack a living prey. So he focused on small prey like rats. He found the vent and ignored the sizzling burning his face. He just had to get somewhere darker.

He found dark shade areas in the alley he could hide in as he flew down to avoid daylight. Morphing back as he painted from all that burning on his skin as it slowly heals. He looked for any prey to catch, from birds to rats.

"Come on, no dogs or cats. Just a rat, please" Adrien said but spots a man with a knife in his hand at the dark alley.

"Alright young man, Hand over the wallet and you won't get hurt!" He gestured his hand.

Adrien smirked and made himself faint on the ground for his prey to think he was unconscious.

"Huh? He just fainted" The man was confused but decided to try to rob Adrien.

As he got closer, just to be sure Adrien was really unconscious by checking his eyes. Suddenly Adrien lunged and bit down his neck, holding him still to drain him to get enough living blood to heal his burned skin fast and quench his thirst. He felt his prey go numb and lifeless as he shoved him aside, panting heavily to feel like himself again rather than go crazy to attack.

"Kid, are you in your right mind now? Wake up!" Plagg smacked his forehead.

"Better, my strength's coming back," Adrien said.

"Man, I miss your human you. You loved daylight as Paw Noir" Plagg said, finding rotten cheese in the trash can.

"I'd give anything to be human again," Adrien said.

"If you become human, you'll be dust since you are over 137 years old" Plagg belched out.

"Oh great." Adrien sighed but then grunted from the sun's rays and moved into the shadows. He was curious about the modern heroine Ladybug but he had to wait until night to face her.

"You really can't walk in sunlight, kid. That descendant relative is the only person you can talk to now. I just hope he's not thinking crazy with supernaturals" Plagg said.

"But I need to know more about Ladybug," Adrien said.

"Ooh, is someone jealous now?" Plagg can see he looks jealous that Paris praises a new hero.

"No, that someone is inspired by me," Adrien said.

"And that someone took your place for it," Plagg said.

Adrien drags the dead body into the alley to hide it, removing his clothes to blend in the evolved city. The leather biker outfit was very new to him like his Claw Noir costume. He finished by adding his shades to not be confused with Felix.
