My parents were all for a get together. They were actually shocked when I asked about even having a party. I really don't have that many friends here, so I have the crazy idea of calling a few of them in New York to see if they could fly out just for the weekend. I made sure the jet would be at the airport to pick them up, all they have to do is climb aboard and voila. I even arranged for them to stay here at the mansion with me. I really think it will do me some good to have a few friends here with me for a few days.

I have Ashton meet them at the airport to bring them here and they are due any minute now. When the door opens up, I hear Julia's loud shriek, "Holy hell Vi lives here. What the f..."

"Julia seriously keep your voice down," chimes in Olivia.

"Ms. Violet should be in the living room waiting for you, please right this way." I hear Atticus walk them down the hallway. I was about to get up when the four of them run over to me. The first two of course are Julia and Olivia. Then Peyton and Levi come in to hug me.

"Oh my God...we can't believe Gabe would do such a thing to you. How are you holding up?" They all seem really concerned for my well being. 

"I'm going to be fine with lots of therapy but yeah I should be fine in a few months or so. Can we please not talk about the accident." I'm afraid if I talk about it, I will mention him and there is no reason to open up a can of worms. 

"Yeah, to change the subject, you little bitch you never said you were a rich girl. Just look at this place." Her eyes go wide as they scan the living room.

"First of all this is my parents place and besides having money isn't everything you know."

Julia starts laughing, "Yeah, but all those times we could have some real ass wine and not that cheep shit out of the box. Girl you been holding out on us."

"Uhm...first of all you guys always got the wine not me and even if I did I wouldn't have over done it to rub it all in your faces the fact that I come from money. Guys really can we just get past this."

"So where can we put our things." Levi holds up his bag.

"We have a few extra room in the west wing by mine of course. I will have Atticus show you guys were to put your things."

Olivia chirps in, "Are you not coming with us?"

I look down at my leg and exhale, "Sure but it will take me forever to get up that staircase." I grab the crutches and hop along in front of them. Atticus walk over to me and gestures to me asking me if I want a lift as if he already knows what I am thinking.

"We should be fine, I got it. Thanks Atticus."

He shakes his head and forms a slight smile. "Suit yourself Vi." He turns and walk back towards the living room.

"Holy hell girl...he is a fucking knock out, how in the hell do you live here with that?" Julia grins ear to ear while making her eyebrows go up and down.

I can't help but smile back at her. "Honey he is like my uncle and that would be gross to look at him that way."

"He might be your uncle but that doesn't mean that I can't look. Will he be in the pool later?" She shoots me another wide grin.

I stop and stare at her like she is messed up in the head. "Olivia, keep those thoughts to yourself girl."

It takes us forever to get up the staircase but once we are on the second floor, I show them to their rooms. My parents have really good taste and each room is completely decorated. Each has a queen size bed with mountains of pillows. There's a dresser and comfortable seating as well. Growing up we rarely used the rooms but they would open them up to anyone that stayed over, mostly just family. I remember there were plenty of nights that Rylan and Amaya stayed the night.

In the first room, Julia jolts past all of us and throws her stuff down by the bed before bouncing on top like a little kid. "This place is like a palace. I could live here forever."

"Well, I guess she choose her destination for the weekend," beams Olivia. "So where will I be staying the night."

"Come with me." I gesture out the door.

Once everyone is settle in, I go to my bedroom to change. I slide on a thin summer dress, of course it looks funny with the cast on but it is what it is. I wait for the others to get ready and then they all come down when it gets closer to time. We are the first ones out by the pool.

"My God Vi, I can't believe you would rather be in New York when you have all of this here. I mean look at this place." She throws her arms in the air towards the pool area.

"New York is where my dreams are Julia, it's where the stage is. You know how much dance means to me...to us."

"I'm sorry Vi; I really hope that you recover soon."

"Me too."

"So not to change the subject but where is Gabe anyway; we haven't seen or heard from him in a few weeks?"

I take a sip of my wine and let it slide down so smoothly before looking over at Levi. "Your guess is as good as mine, I haven't seen him either. We got in an argument and I left. He was mad because I wanted to come home instead of going to Paris so if I had to guess he went on the trip anyway."

"That dick; well I hope he is having the time of his life and decides to just stay there. I always said he never deserved to have a girl like you." Levi leans into me and gives me heartwarming hug and then a slight kiss on the forehead. "I think I want to take a dive in that pool."

"Go for it. I am sure you all will love it." I wave them off and the four of them run and jump in. Atticus walks over and hands me a wine glass halfway filled. "Thanks." I reach out and grab it.

"You're welcome Vi. So how are you really feeling; you seem so much happier with some of your friends here?"

"I'm holding up. They keep asking about Gabe and I'm really trying to keep it all to myself."

"You can do it. No one needs to know what really happened." He looks at the girls briefly because they are talking about him and staring a hole right through his soul. He quickly shakes it off and looks up at the sky.

"I know." I take another sip and watch the four of them swim around in the pool.

When the back door opens up, aunt Meagan comes out and behind her is my mom. Then Rylan comes out with a few of his friends. All of them are guys and already in their swimming trunks. They walk to the other side of the pool and find a spot before taking off their shirts. Damn it looks like they are all on the football team or wrestling either way, damn they look good. I so should not be looking at them, knowing they are too young for me.

A few minutes later Amaya walks out of the house with a few friends. Of course they are all wearing black which doesn't surprise me one bit. They go to the complete other side of the pool. I can tell that these two groups do not socialize at all with each other at school. I so hope this goes over well. I watch as Rylan's friends jump in the water and the moment they start splashing my friends get out.

I will say the girls got their attention because all we hear is whistling over the music. They sure don't help any by the way they twist as they walk over towards me and plop down.

"Well the water was great till they got here," moans Olivia.

"I'm sorry guys, teens you know how they are."

Julia reaches over and grabs my glass. "Well we are old enough to drink this shit; do you have anymore?"

Atticus stands up and smiles. "What can I get you guys to drink?"

I was just about to tell him that is not his job but each of them starts rambling off drinks and he doesn't seem to mind. He walks off before I can even say anything.

"Damn, I wish I had a butler to do everything for me," Peyton chimes in.

"Uhm...Atticus is not my butler. Guys, I told you he is like my uncle. He is family and please don't treat him any other way."

"Sorry Vi but he did ask what we wanted to drink."

"I know he did."

"So please tell us who are these hunks in the water," Levi says with a lustful look on his face.

"The one over there, next to the girl is my cousin Rylan and I assume those are all his friends."

"Girl...did you see the abs on that one over there." He points and licks his lips.

"Down boy," Peyton starts laughing at him.

We all start laughing. I almost don't even notice when I see Amaya get up and walk over to the pool house but her friends just so happened to be looking her way. They basically gave her away.

"Guys I will be right back."
