"don't you want to wear this?".
He adds up after reading the disappointing glare on my face.

I veered my eyes and replied. " Can I not wear this, besides we are in the twenty-first century, and maids don't wear this anymore".
( I think)

Adam falls deep in thought. He looked sideways finally accepting my adamancy not to wear the worker's cloth he got for me.

"Fine then Miss Rona!! But if your cloth gets stained, don't tell me I didn't warn you".
( Weak smiled his way outside)

At the sound of his footsteps fading away, I took a new turn into the kitchen still holding the uniform.
Adam shuts the door to his room and I went on searching for any house chores, to begin with.

The next minute, a lady's voice gained our notoriety.
I stepped out and she falls her eyes on me.
"Hey!! Who are you?".

Before I could explain further, Adam walks into the conversation.
"Her name is Rona, and she's my new housemaid!!! Good morning vee".
( Adam smiles and placed a kiss on her cheeks)

I saw that the news wasn't pleasing to hear, vee falls a frown on her countenance, dragged Adam to the side and they both talked with each other.

She drops her voice in a low tone, and by the face she had, I'm certain she's going to be trouble, urgh!! So much trouble.

Afterward, Adam runs his eyes back. Vee followed suit and met me still standing at the exact spot.

She gestured, only to get drawn back by Adam who finally got us introduced, again, for the second time.

"Please excuse me?".

The whole introduction felt like a scam, I am certain that my job wouldn't just be a jolly LLB ride, not now when another has entered into the picture.

"Hold on Rona?".
( I froze remaking my eyes around)

She dragged me closer to Adam and said, "Is she going to be wearing this?". ( By that she meant shorts and a T-shirt)

Adam once more looked at the same outfit, weaving out his response.
"Yes!! So?".

"What do you mean so?, Isn't it inappropriate for a maid to wear this?".
( Vee tries to get Adam to rethink his previous words to me)

Thankfully, he nods his head and blatantly got her away from me.
"Vee please come with me!! Let's go to the office and talk".
( Vee squeezed her eyes, as they both left me alone at the mansion and left going back to do my work)

Meanwhile, Adam got her outside and gave her an earful.
"What was that rubbish attitude, you pulled out there? And besides, I tried giving her the maid attire but she didn't want to wear it and you know I don't like dragging an issue!! So please don't get involved with what Rona wears okay".

( A man drives in a Venza car)

"Shall we?".
( He gets into the car and after trekking her furious glare away, she faked smiled her way in and they both left the mansion)

(7:00 pm).

The whole day ran by the speed of light, and it seems like the chores weren't going to end soon and the next on my list was Adams's bedroom.

Thankfully he hadn't come back home yet, so it gives me the chance to get his room cleaned without his presence lurking around.

Hence, I got his king-size bed dressed and went further to arrange his wardrobe and shoes, following that up, I went in to get the bathroom cleaned as well.
While cleaning, I dragged a comb full of hair from his bathtub.
"What da?".
I opened up the trashcan to toss it away but rather got confronted with another strange thing.
The shirt of my boss was ripped and stained with blood.
"What is this?."
"Who is my boss?".
