19).
We came to the place in the middle of the night. It was an old cottage that was painted with blood.
I asked Alma to search for the little girl, she obeyed and dashed out.
I also looked for her.
I went behind the cottage, a dustpan can was there and I had no clue the little girl hid in there.
I was just about to leave when I heard someone sneeze.
I brought her out of the can and she jumped on me terrified for some strange reasons.
"Well dear, what's going on?"
I said I placed her down on the ground and she grabbed my hand covering her face with it.
Alma comes, and she gets settled seeing her with me, however, the little girl wasn't.
She looked terrified and I can't help but ask the way.
"What's going on?"
I added.
"Did anything happen, and who're you?"
I said again.
She pulls her hand away and said.
Dallas had made her to me.
Dallas?
I had no idea who that person was, but the name sounded familiar.
"Tell me, who's Dallas?"
I asked her.
She pulls out a photo and showed me a photo of a man.
It was dark and I used the street's light to see the face behind the name.
And guess who it was?
Dallas Lakewood.
My brother is from another mother.
Dallas has been my friend ever since we were little when my parents would drop me at school, I always pay him a visit behind the school
Dallas has a weird kid and trusts me, he had no friends, no one until we met.
Our parents became friends just because we were and it was a start of a beautiful friendship.
Dallas left the city with his family after some years and disappeared without a trace and now, he is back.
I'll have to see him.
I sent the little girl on an errand. She fled doing my bidding while I turned and faced Alma.
She had this look.
What's going on? Alma asked.
I nodded and ignored her question, there was no need to explain, I'm sure sooner than later, Dallas will be coming face to face with me very soon.
We came home and everywhere was quiet.
I walked into my room slammed my doors and tucked myself In bed.
The next morning, I walked down the stairs and met a familiar face seated with Alma in the living room
"Hello, Adam,"
Dallas walked up to me with his arms open wide.
"Did you miss me, bro?" He added.
I grinned at his question.
Of cause, I messed him up, but the question is, why did he appear all of a sudden without a trace or even a postcard?
I walked him to my study room.
Dallas takes a seat on a wooden chair and quietly waited as I locked the door.
I turned around and faced him.
"Tell me, what's going on?"
I sat taking a seat next to him.
He looks at me with a calm yet unsettled one.
"There is fire Adam,"
Dallas says.
"What fire?"
I asked him.
"He's back,"
He added.
I got up from my chair and asked.
"Who is?"
Dallas pulled out his hands and placed them on the table, I looked a little further and saw he had a ring in his hand.
That ring looks familiar.
Dallas saw I had a confab-listed reaction about who's the ring he held, and so he picks it up and pulled it a little close to my eyes.
I looked and ran deep in thought, suddenly it came to me.
Holy shit! Does this ring belong to Marshal,"
I asked him.
Dallas nods.
"Yes! He is back Adam and he came for revenge,"
He poked his head a little further, " Marshal is coming for you,"
He added, looking at me.
