I was currently in the kitchen eating dinner. I live alone so it's always quiet and peaceful.

I suddenly heard a little hissing sound. Probably just the neighbor's kids fooling around. I continued eating. Again, another strange hiss. It didn't sound normal.

I looked down at the ground to see my shadow moving. Maybe I'm just seeing things or the lighting is messing things. I'm probably just tired.

Then again, hiss. But this time I noticed it came from the ground, the area where my shadow was.

This time my shadow was moving inhumanly. I was frightened.
Suddenly, it stopped moving. The hissing continued.

I heard a 'cling!' sound and realized my knife fell down. It fell down onto my shadow.

The knife didn't just fall flatly on the ground. The weird part was it fell straight upwards. With the blade going into the ground.

Blood starting coming out of the floor where my shadow was and it looked like my shadow was bleeding! My shadow slowly disappeared.

What happened?

Once my shadow disappeared I felt a horrible pain on my back. I let out an ear piercing scream.

The pain kept continuing and going worse and worse until I fell into unconsciousness, aka Death.
