Turning a New Leaf
I washed my leaf until it was brand new
But it slowly ages
And I frequently get flashes of deja vu
Kind of like a book and its pages
It's a mystery; & I can't seem to get a clue
I collect the keys to the locked doors
That display my past
It's as if I'm in a store
My hope is like money; it won't last
The only thing I need is more
I connect myself to the years before
Finally realizing what I forgot
My body stings and becomes sore
I'll remember this battle that I fought
And I will keepsake this passed war
Author's Note://: Hi guys. I'm sorry I haven't been on, so I hope you forgive me!! I wrote this poem awhile ago, and I hope you guys like it!
