They're all located in a small town, a few stores here and there, a couple gas stations and so on. The town is surrounded on each side by trees which then leads to a vast and empty field of insanely tall grass which hasn't died yet.

It's most sensible to take shelter in the trees yet some make homes out of the broken down buildings.
