Choices that led to a heart that brakes

My soul treads in a pool of regret

Swirling on thoughts that leads to mind's fret

But I must accept my past is done

Old challenges have been lost or won

My future is where my focus stands

Where choices may shift like grains of sand

I must put regret on a high shelf

Stroll new pathways and ponder thyself

Envision what I want to create

And take new steps to shed sorrow's weight
