— 𝓉𝓌𝒾𝓁𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉 ; 𝑒𝒸𝓁𝒾𝓅𝓈𝑒 —

   𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 doors in front of her, releasing a deep breath as a cool breeze brushes gently against her flushed cheeks. She's careful to be quiet as she steps out onto the balcony, relishing in the fresh air that the late night offers. As the wind continues, it softly tugs on the pastel leaves of the oak trees surrounding the Reagan home, allowing some of them to fall by the blonde girl's feet. The teenager had always loved nights like this; those when she could free herself from the limitations of her room and retreat to the outdoors. There had always been something about nature that made Serenity feel complete — perhaps it was from her memories of a new forest that offered her an exploration that she wished so desperately to be a part of. Nonetheless, she would constantly yearn to venture through the wooded area, and to look for something that she wasn't sure she'd find.

Then again, what was it that she would be looking for?

Bracing her hands against the railing, the Reagan girl relaxes as she stares into the abyss that lies just beyond the dark sky. The stars twinkle like the fairy-lights that decorate the canopy of her bed, burning bright, but not quite as bright as the moon. It was mesmerizing, really — if she stared at it long enough, like she did every night, she would see the same image of the forest; the one which begged her to search far and wide. And one day, she would find the courage to do it.

One day she would finally understand what the moon had been pointing at all along — or, rather, who it had been pointing her towards.
