( CHAPTER FOUR - PLAY WITH FIRE )

▁▁▁

IT HAD ALMOST taken Logan over a week to fully get over the fact that Cathy had actually hit her. After Cesaro helped get her home with the help of Renee and Dean, she wanted to go back out and knock her out, but Dean being the responsible one - for once - actually made her stay home and sleep the rest of her alcohol filled mind off. And let's not even speak of the brain-threatening, pounding headache that she woke up with the next morning. The ones that kept your head in the toilet bowl for hours until you forced yourself to go to sleep with the vomit still stuck in your hair.

She had literally wanted to die that morning.

And the fact that she had woken up with a red patch of discoloration on her jaw, that soon turned into a dark purple bruise afterwards, did not help at all. She made herself be the bigger person and when the whole thing came up on twitter, she didn't reply to any of it.

Even when she had arrived at the arena and had the little amount of time to spend with her fans, they had asked her about it as well. Dean had told her that someone at the club last night had recorded the whole argument without any of their knowledge. She did know though, that the audio from the recording was complete shit quality-- so the fans had no idea what actually went down. They just happened to see Cathy snag a punch at Logan and then Cesaro hold her back from beating the complete shit out of her.

At least now, the creators didn't have to rewrite her story-line with Finn since the universe did not know they had split up- but what they did get from the video, was that he had taken Cathy's side in the argument, holding her back and comforting her.

Becky had spent the week with her until they both had to separate ways due to traveling- and Becky was in a complete different state than her. She was happy that she had gotten to spend time with her and shop around town, which she didn't usually get to since when she was off work, she would go home and take care of her mother but since her father, Andres was off work, he spent time with her so that Logan could spend time with her friends.

She was hesitant of not coming home to Orlando to take care of her mother since she didn't know when her last breathe would be, but due to her mother looking well the past couple of days- she let it go.

They met up with Bayley as well, and hung out at a wine tasting venue which was not something Becky was into but due to Logan coming back, she decided to let the brunette pick the spot they were going to hang.

The sound of suitcase wheels rolling across the floor flooded Logan's ears, and Bayley who was towing her suitcase behind her as the two women walked in together. They were performing in Illinois, Chicago which had both of them happy since Logan had always received a substantial amount of love from the Chicago fans. It seemed now that as of lately, Logan would receive a bit of mixed reactions when she performed since feuding with the fan favorite, Sasha Banks, but she didn't let that bring her down.

All she wanted was to cause a reaction from the crowd tonight, and if that happened to be an applause of boo's from the universe- then she would take that. She wasn't use to being the bad person, but from what she gathered from the other ladies, being heel was endless amounts of fun.

"So, are you alright performing with Finn by your side tonight?" Bayley shook her head as she held the doors open for Logan, who entered the building.

Logan shook her head but had a straight expression on her face, "I guess." she shrugged her shoulders. "what am I really suppose to do, Bales? Not get a paycheck because my ex-boyfriend happens to be in a story-line with me?" she questioned Bayley, which got a brow raise from her.

She wasn't going to be that person that didn't work with people just because they hurt her, and she wasn't allowing Finn in-between her and doing her job correctly. She was going to bring that up tonight with Finn, that tonight would just be about performing tonight and doing their job. They weren't going to let anything unprofessional happen, they were going to go out there and put on a show- even though it was fake between them.

"Have you spoken to Sasha, at all? " Logan took a side-ways glance over towards one of her best-friends who just looked to the floor.

It wasn't just Logan that Sasha had cut out of her life, but one of her best-friends as well, and that was something that Bayley had never prepared for- was to loose Sasha. From what Bayley told her, Sasha was tired of being put on the shelf and forgotten while she watched her best-friends get what she worked for, which wasn't true.

The fact was that all three of them had worked hard to get where they were, and every time that Sasha lost the match-- she blamed others for it. It wasn't because someone was simply better than the other or that they had advantages.

"She's changed, and I don't know how to get her back either." Bayley told her as they rounded the corner and towards the Women's locker room, which was empty, just a few suitcases placed in-front of some lockers.

Logan took a seat down on the bench in the middle of the room and Bayley joined her after putting her suitcase in the locker. "Sooner or later, she will realize how lonely it is at the top and when she comes back-- it will be too late."

Bayley cast her eyes down towards the door, which opened up to reveal the person in question. Sasha rolled her suitcase in the locker room in complete silence while Bayley flickered her eyes back onto Logan.

Logan watched as Bayley's lips pursed and her brows furrowed on her forehead when she had stopped the conversation, which made Logan turn her head and take a look at the woman who walked in. "...Right, well I should go grab my gear from Terry." Logan told Bayley while she got up while her hand grabbed onto her shoulder to give her a comforting squeeze.

Bayley knew that Logan was only leaving because Sasha was in here and ever since she injured her- she couldn't look at her the same way. She felt broken, betrayed and everything in between. Someone who she considered a best-friend, a sister, a soulmate- would stoop so low and attack her for the desires of jealously. She felt hurt, and even Logan couldn't deny that.

Before Logan could twist the handle of the door and walk out of the locker room, she turned her body towards the magenta haired woman putting her championship in her locker. "Good luck tonight, Sasha." Logan told her, and the girl lifted her head to furrow her eyebrow back at the raven haired woman.

"You'll need it." she then spat with hatred, not once forgetting what had happened. Her brown eyes had narrowed into slits but then softened when she looked back at Bayley who had a smile lifting on her lips before she walked through the door.

Tonight, she was going to add the fire to her and Sasha's fued, which would end up having the world see her going into her new skin- being a heel. And the fact that Finn would be joining her down to the ring, made her nervous.

Logan was about to turn the corner to head towards the seamtress' locker room but as she passed the canteen, she happened to see a head full of blonde hair. "Lexi." Logan called out and started walking towards the table she was sitting at, her plate filled with fruits in-front of her while she looked down at her phone with a smile on her face.

Alexa pulled her eyes away from her phone and towards the voice of Logan, who took an empty seat from another table and pushed it towards hers. "I didn't see you at that party that Nicole planned." she furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the blonde.

Alexa shook her head and put her phone on the table in-front of her. "Yeah, I was home with my parents.. I wish I would've stayed, that fight that happened with Cathy looked awesome." she chuckled, leaning her body forward and over the table.

Logan watched her as her chin rested on the palm of her hand while her blue eyes landed on the faint bruise- or whatever was left of the bruise- on her side of her jaw. "Is that the popular topic this month? It seems that's what everyone is talking about.."

"Seems like it." she deadpanned, leaning back in her seat. "How are you anyways, I noticed you have a match with Sasha tonight." she questioned with caution since she knew that Logan's least favorite topic was her former best-friend.

"I'm okay." She nodded away, pausing her words while figuring out what to say next. "I know it happened months ago, but I still can't wrap my head around it all."

Alexa nodded back in understanding, "Yeah, I get that. I still can't believe that she crossed you. It just shows that you can't really trust anyone when you're at the top."

Logan nodded with her while her lips turned into a frown. She did thought that she had someone she could trust when she was champion, someone she could count on to have her back and always back her up. But it only seemed that Sasha was only on her back for the championship. To get under her skin and make sure she wouldn't see it coming, and she didn't.

That was the hard part to wrap her head around, the fact that she was completely played and didn't even see it coming. She should've saw it coming but she was so infatuated with Finn, that she didn't realize when Sasha started to go distant- it was for a very wrong reason.

"How's things with Murphy?" she suddenly asked which made Alexa's face change, making Logan raise her eyebrow.

"We actually broke up." she told her with a frown on her face. Logan popped her lip out slightly while grabbing the girl's hand and running her thumb over the top of her hand. "I'm sorry, that really sucks." Logan replied back.

"We had different things going on in life." Alexa added while shrugging but the frown was still on her face. Logan knew that things were strained in Alexa's love life since the couple had very different schedules since they were performing on different brands. She felt pity for Alexa since she knew the woman was in-love with him, but it seemed like life was pulling them apart and Alexa wanted to focus on their work.

The blonde didn't speak anymore after that and Logan couldn't blame her, she was obviously still hurt over the fact that a big part of her was missing and she knew how that felt. Logan was about to get up from the table until she remembered her scripts. "Hey, I don't know if Mark told you, but you actually have a tag match with me next week before the qualifying matches." she informed her.

Alexa's expression lifted with the mention of work, "Yeah I know, and I'm happy to finally work along side you--now that you're one of us." she smiled over at her.

Logan's own smile matched her own, "We should get together at the performance center this week so we can work some moves together for the match." she asked her while starting to get up from the table, she still had her gear to grab and then get ready for her match.

Alexa nodded and agreed that they should work together to come up with a few moves that would look good for the tag match. Logan gave her a smile before saying goodbye and then she proceeded to walk down towards the seamstress to grab her new gear that had been designed for her- which was honestly one of her favorite parts of coming to work after ordering.

Her gear would be different this time than what her gear was last year. She usually would go with the dark colors, but this time her color range would expand. Her bottoms would be tighter and shorter that would show more skin and her top would connect together at the neck. She knew that her new choice in gear would give her the fierce look her character was portraying.

~

LOGAN just opened the door to the locker room to step outside when her brown eyes landed on a built frame wearing a Balor T-shirt. Her eyebrows furrowed as she didn't take a step further as Finn stared down at her with a surprised look on his face.

"Can I help you?" she questioned while looking down at her phone, which told her that her match wasn't another fifteen minutes so he didn't need to be looking for her- he shouldn't even be looking for her in the first place.

Finn looked down one of the hallways, seeing that it was empty and a bit darker than the rest of the backstage areas. "I just needed ta talk to ya." he told her, his accent sounding more prominent than ever. He must've went back to Ireland to visit his family.

"I don't want to talk to you, Finn." She shook her head and ended up closing the door up behind her, noting that there were women in there behind the door.

He had never gotten a good look at her until he was forced to back up a bit due to her entering his space. She had a red colored gear on her body, and the usual leather jacket was not in her hands this time. The style was completely different and the color reminded him of that night at the club when he first talked to her. Her hair was done up in very tight curls, making her long black hair more shorter than normal and her eyes were decorated with red glitter.

"I'm not taking no for an answer dis time, Logan." Finn rolled his eyes and grabbed hold of her wrist, ready to take her down the dark hallway until she yanked her arm away from his grip, making him step backwards from the force she had to use.

"Go bother your girlfriend, or is she hiding down that hallway--ready to ambush me as we speak?" Logan barked back at him which made him roll his eyes again.

"She's not even in Chicago right now." He informed her which yes, did make her feel a bit better knowing that she wouldn't have Cathy breathing down her neck and watching her every move. And she wouldn't have to hold herself back from destroying her all together. "Please, can we just have a conversation?"

Logan sucked her cheek in and huffed out in frustration, grabbing Finn's arm and bringing him down the empty hallway and resting up against the cold wall. "Fine but tell me one thing," she raised her eyebrow as he nodded.

"Did you sleep with her before we broke up, or after?"

Finn couldn't even meet her eyes after she asked the question that bothered her and the fact that he couldn't look her in the eye as he shook his head- told her that he had just lied right to her face.

She scoffed and disbelief filled her eyes as they flickered down the hallway, now unable to look him in the eyes. "You can't even look at me, Finn." she shook her head as her words were barely a whisper.

"What do ya want me ta say, Logan?" He raised his voice at her, his eyes now burning through hers which were creating a storm together. "I was angry at ya."

Logan laughed pitifully. "And that gives you the a-okay to sleep with someone else?" She raised her own voice, her eyebrows raising as her eyes were clashing against his- wild and hurt. "Hearing you tell me that you've slept with someone isn't even the worst part." she whispered as her eyes went down to her boots. "It's the fact that even though you hurt me; I'm still in-love with you but how many times will you break me until your finally satisfied?"

Finn bit down on his own bottom lip as he tried to think of what to say to her. He knew he wronged her on so many levels, with so many stupid words that he spat out in anger that night. He couldn't take them back even though he wish he could.

He did it just to hurt her back.

Logan wouldn't let the tear fall from her eye that was threatening to come out in front of him. Instead she let out a sideways smile that was just filled with pain as the silence came over them both, now that they had nothing else to say to each-other. She turned back around and finally, the tear slipped down her cheek as she walked, "I'll meet you at the gorilla."

She continued to walk further down the hallway as Finn's blue eyes never left her back and then soon dropped to her back-side, shaking his head away at the thoughts that consumed his brain ever since he let her go and never fought for her. He sighed out in frustration, letting his sweaty palm comb through his hair and then down to his beard before he started to follow after her.

As soon as Logan reached the gorilla position, Sasha was already there with her eyes glued to the screen which was already on commercial break and Sheamus was walking through the curtain along with Cesaro. His eyes went straight for Logan, and he jerked his head towards her with a smile.

"Looking great, Lo." He commented as he started walking closer towards her and pulled her into a hug. As he pulled away after she patted him on the back, he took her chin in his hand and pulled her face to the side. "almost gone?"

Her eyes flickered to Cesaro's as she stopped in-front of her, "Yeah, it's just a bit brown now but it should be gone in the next few days." she informed them, hearing Sasha's music go off in the arena.

Sheamus nodded at her, "Good luck out there."

She smirked over at him, "Like I always say, Luck is for losers." she turned her body as she walked past them. Her attention was now on Finn who was standing near the monitor waiting for her in his own gear, but a shirt covering his chest.

Logan watched as the arena went pitch black and the lights started to flicker as her new song had started to echo throughout the arena. She could already hear the cheers from her place, and when she turned towards Finn, he nodded towards the gorilla.

"I'm the greatest, god created. I'm a sickness, I'm contagious. I'm a demon, power trippin'. On the mission and vindictive."

Logan made her way towards the middle square that was slightly lit up, her feet were surrounded in the fog that was produced by the fog machine. Once the lights came on, Logan had her back to the audience as the pop of her music had started, and then Finn started walking out with the usual smile on his face, the one that would just make you melt where you were standing. He looked throughout the crowd as he stopped alongside of her, and she turned her body to face him while grabbing his hand.

"And her opponent making her way to the ring accompanied by Finn Balor, from Cuidad Victoria, Mexico, Logan Perris!" JoJo Offerman announced to the world as both of them walked down together, still holding onto each other's hands while a smile erupted on both of their faces.

Finn walked over towards the side of the ring while she slid into the ring, propping her knee up to look up at Sasha Banks who was leaning against the ropes, twirling her purple hair around her finger.

Logan smirked over towards her while walking towards the middle of the ropes, her foot standing on the bottom as her stomach leaned over the top; greeting the town of Chicago.

As she turned to face Sasha, she found that the girl was getting hold back by the referee when she threatened to pounce on her early. She was yelling against the referee as Logan walked over towards the apron, where Finn was standing behind, his hands resting on the matt.

She watched as Sasha rolled her head side to side, her eyes still fixed on her former best-friend but they grew into slits as Logan tossed her hair off her shoulders and walked away from the corner as the two ladies circled each-other.

As they stared at each-other, sizing each-other up for a weakness in their position, Logan was going through every move in her mind. Sasha was known to be quite quick but so was she- which would end up with tons of reversals early in the match until someone countered the other and gained the upper-hand.

She just had to get her with a cheap-shot.

When they approached again, they raised one hand for the other to grab, and then doing the same for the other. Sasha tried to knee her which ended up with Logan backing her body away from reach but Sasha had the upper-hand with the test of strength due to Logan's caution with her shoulder.

Logan's teeth clenched together as she was forced down onto one knee, but she quickly reversed it by rolling, and then circling Sasha while twisting her arm to her back and pushing her towards the rope.

Logan bent down too early as Sasha bounced off the rope and then kicked the girl with her foot, making Logan's head snap up. But she knew Sasha's move-set and once she returned to bounce off the rope, Logan connected with a vicious close-line.

Logan stood up in the middle of the ring as she looked out into the crowd before running towards the ropes and sliding down to connect her arm along Sasha's chest. Logan then grabbed hold of her hair and started to wear her down with a hold, cutting off her air supply.

Finn watched on as he clapped for her, the way her eyes shined as she looked out towards the crowd had him smiling just looking at how she performed in the ring. Sasha was stretched forward with her back painfully bent as Logan sat on her lower back, sticking out her tongue as she taunted something down to Sasha, thrashing her arms back and forth.

Behind him, the fans were starting to boo her as she kept hitting her with dirty shots to the head, grabbing her by the hair and pushing her face back and forth in the mat below them. He would never admit to her that she looked hot doing the whole heel act.

It was getting close to ten minutes into the match, and both ladies were going strong, constantly countering but getting the momentum shut down by the latter. It was when she called Finn to her corner as she connected half of her boot to Sasha's jaw and whispered. "Grab the title." she yelled at him as she tried to stand up by fell due to the exhaustion of the state she was left in from the Bank Statement.

Finn pulled the title towards the her corner, and then climbed the apron on the other side of the ring to distract the Referee. Causing Logan to have enough time to grab the title and throw it over towards Sasha who caught it, and when Finn jumped down from the apron-- Logan fell to the matt acting out in pain.

The Referee turned around, his eyes flickering towards Sasha who had the title in her hand. "What are you doing with that?" he yelled.

Sasha looked over towards Logan who was still screaming, clenching her nose in fake pain as she rolled on her stomach. "I don't know." she yelled back which made the Referee shake his head, "Ring the bell!"

"WHAT? NO, I DIDN'T HIT HER." Sasha yelled out as the bell rung as she looked over at Logan who was getting pulled out of the ring by Finn with a sick smile on her face.

"And the winner of this match by disqualification, Logan Perris!"

Sasha stared back at her with a angry look on her face, still yelling out that she didn't hit her. Logan backed away from the ring as Finn held up her hand as she walked backwards with a smile on her face. Lowering her hand, the duo listened as the whole arena filled with boos-- she had gone it, gone rogue.

She turned towards Finn as her eyes sparkled with the adrenaline of victory and pulled him against her lips, just as the script had told them to do. His arm wrapping around her waist as he pulled her close and the butterflies erupted in both of their stomachs. She pulled away and she wasn't sure if it was because Finn had left her breathless or that she was really, out of breath.

The thing about Finn Balor was that he made her feel like she was the only star in the sky but the things he said still haunted her even though now standing in front of the crowd-- she wanted nothing more than to cherish the feeling of his lips on hers as she went for another small peck which happened to surprise him.

As she pulled away, she grabbed the microphone that was still dangling in Finn's hand when he grabbed it to complete the promo. She clicked it on and rested the microphone on her lips for a brief moment as her eyes re-connected with the furious woman standing in the ring.

"You wanted to play with fire, prepare to get burned."

A/N

I really wanted to write for this book again, so here I am. I hope you liked this chapter of her heel turn, and I know that people are going to have questions about her new song.

If you follow Fiercebellex on youtube, you can find the version of the song I used. I'll link it here just in case you can't find it. But I feel like it just plays with the story and what she's after so well, that I needed to use it for her. All props go to her for the combination of the two songs.
