( CHAPTER ELEVEN - A NEW HOME  )

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

EXHAUSTED, WRACKED WITH PAIN, was something that Logan grew used to due to the kind of industry she was in, but now she was feeling more mentally exhausted than the physical kind.

Yes, her back still hurt like hell every time she stretched it out due to the brutality of the ladder match from Money in The Bank. That was only the fire starter of the problem, and then Bayley only ignited it again after competing with her in the ring for her briefcase.

She told Bayley to not hold back on her, she didn't want her opponent to 'take it easy' on her just because she was one of her close friends. Her fans didn't deserve that, they deserved the best she should deliver, she wanted to put on a show.

But damn, she was really feeling the hits a few days after the match occurred.

For the past twenty minutes, Logan had been driving down a lone road that was going through the lush forests of the outskirts of Brooklyn, New York. A heated pillow was sitting in the curve of her back to comfort her sore muscles while she drove.

She was going to be in Brooklyn for the next few days to switch out her clothing from her suitcases before she would be forced to pick up and leave to catch her five hour flight to San Diego. Which, she was excited to be traveling to that city next, they've always had the best beaches and the warm weather was always welcome - and a bonus - both Nikki and Brie were there, and they had some catching up to do.

Brown eyes glancing down at the screen of her cellphone, she turned down the street that was highlighted with green by her google maps that was directing her to her final destination. "You have reached your destination." came the monotone voice when she reached the end of the road.

Her eyes shot towards a secluded two story house, surrounded by the wilderness on each side and a lake hidden behind trees behind the house. Logan smiled, she didn't think Finn would have switched from an apartment in the middle of Orlando's shopping district to a house in the outskirts of Brooklyn- but he always managed to surprise her.

She wouldn't blame him for wanting the extra privacy since their lives were dedicated on putting on a performance in front of a crowd, and with social media getting hotter and hotter, privacy was something that came as much as the blue moon rose in the blackened sky.

Logan looked in the rear-view mirror to check herself after she parked on the driveway of the house, which a moving van was parked right beside her. She assumed that the vehicle was the one her father sent to help her move her things over states. "Hola."  someone called out to her, which sounded strangely familiar.

The brunette turned her head to the side to glance out into the window, looking for the face that matched the voice in question. Stood before her was someone who had a striking resemblance to her father, but was a little younger than her father.

"Ah, tío. How've you been?" She questioned with a smile, seeing her father's side of the family was always a rare occurrence for her.

Logan had always been on the road, which meant she barely had time to visit her own parents let alone extended family members. That, and the fact that her father's side of the family owned their own business across the globe, time was non-existent for the Rivera's.

Logan killed the engine, got out, and then grabbed one of her suitcases from the backseat, putting her carry-on bag on top of her suitcase before standing behind the vehicle.

Logan's uncle had always had such a strong accent, which was surprising since he lived in Brooklyn for most of his life, but he never forgot how to speak Spanish due to always speaking his first language with family, Logan was no exception. "I've been good. How have you been lately, Logan? Your father is quite the busy man and has no time to talk to his brother."

"You know my father, Nicolás. He never has the time to sit down and talk. But I've been good, just wrapped up a paper-view a week ago." She told him while watching him grab the papers from the moving truck.

When he came back, Logan pushed her aviator style sunglasses onto her forehead. "I'm surprised to see you out here, how's Anita?"  she questioned him after signing her name on the bottom of the page, and then wiping the palms of her hands on her leggings.

She was dressed in a Finn Balor T-shirt, a dark maroon plaid shirt tied around her waist while black leggings dressed her legs, along with some Louis Vuitton ankle boots to complete her look. She had just got off a three hour long flight from Orlando, so she decided to dress for comfort.

"She's doing well, asks about you though. I think you owe our family a visit." His smile lit up slightly at the mention of his wife, and Logan felt herself smiling back at him while the other men got out of the vehicle to start on grabbing her things to move them into the house.

Finn had been a big help after Money in The Bank had been wrapped up, she still needed to pack her things into boxes. Before that, she had been mostly focusing on the paper-view, never really home to pack her things. Dean had also helped back her things which cut their time in half when he was home to give a hand. She wasn't particularly happy about leaving someone whom she considered a brother, and who had lived her with for most of her own injury.

But now that Dean had been cleared to compete in a wrestling ring for a week now, he had been training to officially make his return to the ring in a month and three weeks. He no longer needed to be in Orlando every second of the day for his physical therapy sessions, so that meant that Logan had no choice but to sell her apartment back in Orlando and instead opted for a vacation home near the beaches of Florida.

Once the movers had grabbed some of her boxes off of the trailer, Logan continued to walk towards the front door of the house to unlock the door for them. It would be her first time entering Finn's home since his move from Orlando a few months back, and though she felt a bit weird entering his home without him there, she had to remember that this was her new home now.

She supposed she would have to get used to Finn not always being present with her, since they both had these crazy lives with even more demanding schedules, and that meant that they weren't always going to be together twenty-four seven.

Logan turned her head after pushing the door open, "I'll try to come visit you, but I only have a few days off and mama isn't doing to well." She gave him a weakened version of her usual bubbly smile.

Nicolás totally understood where she was coming from, since in their family; family always came first. He also needed to make a trip to Orlando to visit his sister in-law, but work had been extremely busy for him since mover companies were in full sail during the warm weather. "No, of course. You take care of your mother first, visit us losers after." he told her while they both entered the room together.

Logan's brown eyes began to study the first room her eyes fell upon, divided from the boot room by a half-wall was the living room. Finn's family room was a pretty simple but modern design with a tan colored L-shaped couch that felt silky like velvet. A recliner was sat in the corner of the room along with a coffee table, and a television mounted on the opposite wall. He had plenty of pictures placed around on the walls, he was a family man after all. Finn had three brothers and a sister, which she was extremely jealous of since she was an only child, but Dean and Becky were like her siblings.

Her eyes stopped upon a picture in particular of a younger Finn sitting on Santa's lap with one of his brothers, she didn't know which one but she found her lips tugging up from the sight. She had never looked at any pictures of Finn from his younger days, ones that didn't involve wrestling, the private ones that only his parents had but now she had.

"Prince Devitt is your boyfriend?" Her great-uncle came up behind her after setting up one of the boxes near the wall, his eye catching on a picture frame sat up against a little shelf. Logan turned her head to look at him when he handed her a picture of Finn in a black and white demon paint with Tama Tonga standing next to him in his own face paint.

"You watch that New Japan Wrestling?" She turned her body towards him, now interested in how he knew Finn from his early wrestling days. Her father's side of the family weren't the biggest fans of wrestling back when she was a child, they've watched a few shows, and that was how Logan got into it when she graduated high-school, but she never knew her great uncle was interested in wrestling.

"Ever since you've picked up the Career, the family always tunes into RAW and other wrestling brands. You think we wouldn't watch you?"

Logan honestly shrugged since she thought that her parents were the only one actually interested in the profession she was in, but obvious she was wrong about the assumption, "I didn't think it was your scene, and if you're a fan.. he will probably be home in about thirty minutes. I'm sure he wouldn't decline the offer to meet someone else from my family."

Nicolás smiled over at her. "So you're serious about the man, huh?" he pumped her shoulder with hers while giving her a goofy grin while she watched people move in her things.

Logan let a chuckle slip from beneath her lips. "I really love him." she told him while her eyes glanced in his direction along with a content smile on her face before he walked away with a smirk on his face.

Logan let him join the other workers on moving her things into the house while she continued to look around the place where the next journey of her life would begin, she would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous about the whole thing. Once she walked into the kitchen that was mostly made out of wood, she spotted a vase on the counter, different shades of purple, pink, and red flowers, along with a card were sticking out of the assortment. She let her mouth hang for a moment before stepping forward.

Welcome home, love.

- Fergal

A smile slipped onto her face as she read the handwriting on the card, and then it was signed with his name at the bottom. She was surprised he had the time to get something for her since he lived a few minutes out of town, and since he had a business outing this morning. He didn't want to go to that business meeting, and he expressed how upset he was over it since he would miss the step in their relationship, but she told him not to stress about it. Their lives were hectic, and that was something that they would both have to get used too.

"He seems like quite the man, Jane." her uncle walked forward while carrying a box which had labeled kitchen on the top of it in black sharpie marker. Logan turned her eyes towards the dark skinned man, the card was placed on the counter. "He is." she replied, her smile getting even wider.

As the movers begun to bring everything from the moving trailer, she noticed just how much she had brought with her, and there was no way that Finn would have enough room for all of her things. She had sold most of her furniture with the help of Dean when she was on the road, so all she had left was the expensive bedside lamps that was from her hometown, and the tiny dark purple chair she had in the middle of her old walk-in closet.

That was something she was unsure if Finn was lacking in his house, and Logan was puzzled of where she would store all of her clothing, and her expensive shoe collection that had been collecting over the years. What could she say? She really liked shoes. Finn always expressed how silly it was to carry on an extra suitcase when traveling the world for her shoes, but she had always told him that she couldn't just choose a couple pairs - what if the shoes she brought didn't match her outfit?

Logan found herself smiling to herself as she began to unpack the cardboard box, reaching inside to grab a purple picture album. Funny, she didn't remember packing it in the 'kitchen' labeled box, must have been Dean.

Her brown eyes scanned across the developed pictures of a younger version of herself, her hair tied behind in an overly high ponytail that probably gave her a headache, because she was getting one just by looking at the reminder.

Her high school years had been something she hated, typical pretty girl was always popular but for Logan she never fit in. Sure, being a daughter of an rich family who was well known in all parts of Mexico had it's advantages of being the 'it girl' in school, which made her experience less shitty, but she could still remember getting picked on because of who her parents were.

The bright reddish-orange colored cheer uniform was something she hated but her mother insisted on her wearing that with passion, her hair completed with an over-sized white bow. She looked like a walking Halloween costume commercial, completed with the occasional uni-brow.

Logan flipped through another page of the book, her eyes now resting on another picture but she was a bit older in this one. She never got rid of that ridiculous high ponytail that she wore but her cheer leading outfit was replaced with another sport uniform - soccer. She remembered that she still did cheer leading on the side since it kept her body in shape, and she was glad she stuck with it since it came in handy with wrestling now. She had been so caught up with looking at the small book of memories that she didn't realize the person standing behind her with a smile on his face.

Finn walked up behind her, putting his large hands on her waist after he spoke, "do you still have that cheerleading uniform?" he felt her tense up and jump slightly, unaware that he was even behind her.

His chest hit her back as she backed up slightly, her breath hitching in her throat from the scare he gave her. "God, you scared me." she squeaked out while her shoulders instantly relaxed when he wrapped his arms around her stomach, pulling her back into him.

He placed a kiss on the back of her neck as she rested her head back on his shoulder, her hands landing on top of his bare forearms. "You're back sooner than I thought." she noticed when her eyes landed on the clock. Finn gotten back fifteen minutes earlier than what she was told.

He shrugged behind her while nuzzling his face into her neck and breathing in her coconut scent he always loved her wearing. He told her it always reminded him of a vacation since it smelled like lounging in the sun with the white sand beaches under your toes.

"Yeah, short meeting." he murmured while she turned around in his arms, finally getting a look at his handsome face. She heard a clank from behind Finn and her eyes flickered back towards her great uncle, who was looking at the two with a smile on his face.

"I think some introductions are in order." he spoke out in a language that only Logan could understand. Finn could understand some Spanish, mostly greetings that were used but since getting together with Logan, he had been picking up more of her language every day.

"No, of course." she spoke out while leaving the arms of her boyfriend to face one of her family members. "Fergal, this is Nicolás my uncle." she turned towards Finn whom rose his eyebrows and then extended his hand for the man to shake.

Despite being her uncle Logan and him shared a lot of physical traits, one being the shape and shade of their eyes, and their sharp jaw-line was the first features that stuck out to him. It was clear to Finn that this man was too expensive looking to just work at  a moving company.

"It's nice to meet another member of Logan's family." he spoke out while shaking he man's hand. Nicolás smiled back at him and gripped her niece's boyfriend rather firmly, a bit too firmly might Finn add.

It seemed like for whatever reason, Logan's family were not to ecstatic to meet someone who claimed her heart, but Finn assumed it was because of what happened with the last man Logan presented to her family.

"My niece speaks rather fondly of you. Let's hope it stays that way."

Logan's eyes widened. "Ah, tío! Please don't scare the man away, we're scary enough as it is!" Logan spoke out in her fluent tongue, which made Finn furrow his eyebrows.

Logan's uncle shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't about to just let another man walk all over his niece. He needed to set some boundaries with the man, but he supposed it would just have to wait when Logan wasn't here to tell him otherwise.

"I just need to make sure this man is worthy of you, if I scare him off; he wasn't worthy of you in the first place. Besides, I might actually like the man. He is pretty hot."

Logan slapped her uncle's arm hard, which echoed throughout the room. "You're unbelievable! Speak English from now on, we don't want him to think we're talking about him."

"But we are, anyways I'm about to head out since all your things are off the truck. I'll see you later."

Logan gave him a warning glare and then turned to face her boyfriend. "He's a bit of a jokester, so don't take him too seriously." her hand clasped onto his bicep as she spoke, leading him towards the bedroom while grabbing the handle of her suitcase after waving goodbye.

"Now tell me where to unpack my clothes and then I'm going to show you a new shirt design John just sent me."

Finn shook his head with a smile on his face as she maneuvered into the hallway, working her way around the boxes that now littered his house. From the sound of it, she was so excited to show him the new design since he knew it was something Logan has been working on with the creators.

As soon as they made their way into the bedroom, Logan put her suitcases to the side and then sat on the edge of the bed beside Finn. Quickly, she took out her phone and navigated through her messages. She was extremely excited to get his reaction, since this was something she was actually proud of. The designs WWE Shop produced were occasionally brilliant, but often sucked.

As soon as she found the picture she was looking for, she loaded it up on the screen and past her phone to Finn, who's face lit up immediately. "Oh wow, it looks really cool." he breathed when he saw the shirt.

Logan had gotten lucky. The shirt was black with an anime design of Logan's face and her body was in her current ring gear. She was inside a square that was bordered with vines and 'The Queen' written at the bottom of it in capital red lettering. She obviously pulled inspiration from Poison Ivy.

"I just approved of the design this morning, should be out later his afternoon." Logan exclaimed in delight. Her last T-shirt design had been pretty simple and not what she envisioned but had to go with it due to creators wants, but she had free reign with the design of this one - and she was really proud of it.

Logan locked her phone and fell backwards onto the bed. She was feeling exhausted from traveling, her eyes fluttering close as she took a deep breath. Finn watched her from above and chuckled to himself, leaning down to place a kiss on her lips. "Tired?" he questioned.

She hummed against his lips while her hands snaked around the back of his neck, clasping her fingers together.

"I haven't stopped since I returned. It's either I'm busy traveling for a show, or a media event." her eyes fluttered open as his hand went under her shirt, feeling her bare skin under his finger tips.

Finn smiled down at her, his blue eyes boring back into her chocolate brown ones. "What do they say, 'no rest for the wicked?'"

"Something like that," Logan said with a chuckle.

"Well, you're still not getting any rest because we're going out. So get ya pretty arse in that bathroom because I'm going to show you the lovely town I call home." Finn said while he got off her, pulling her up by her arms which made her squeal out.

A/N

Hi ya'll. I wasn't planning on updating since I'm pretty busy with life right now. I'm currently in the air right now flying back to my hometown since my grandmother is pretty sick right now. I got wifi, and I don't land for another 6 hours - I'm really bored.

So that's what's been going on, and why I haven't been on here for 2 weeks. I'm alright so don't worry. Anyways this chapter and the next 2 maybe, will be focusing on Logan's family since we're going to get into pretty heavy stuff. I'm not mexican, so please If I get anything wrong, correct me. I'm not trying to offend anyone, so if any of my readers are mexican, that'd be cool if you can reach out to me and inform me of some certain things! Research only goes so far.  (Logan's shirt design inspiration is the photo above)

I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
