We were young when we fell in love, it was a love that consumed us whole, stealing the air from our very lungs.
We struggled to think straight, making decisions we would come to hate.
Passionate and sweet but with that comes pain. A fight between my heart and brain. My heart wanting to stay but my head begging me to leave, run away.
Because even then, I knew it wasn't real, it was a childish love we tend to feel. We were doomed from the start, bound to have our hearts torn apart.
When they said it wouldn't last we refused to believe, thinking this love was something we would never have to grieve.
But we were wrong, even if we were together for so long. The love faded quick and our minds were sick.
Everything got dark, leaving a lasting mark, on the heart of the one that thought it was real.
