◗ Room One.

The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit were on their jet back to Los Angeles California because another one of the Ten Commandments killings had happened last night.
They keep sporadically happening throughout this five year time span but the team can never find the Unsub because they kill once and go dormant for months after the last one.
And all they knew about this Unsub was that they were male and maybe twenty-five to fifty years of age living in the LA area. That's very well half the population of Los Angeles.
This case was really stumping Effie, she couldn't quite figure out what was up with it but something just wasn't right with this case.
"When we land, Reid, Hawkins, Morgan, you come with me to the crime scene. Jareau I need you, Rossi, and Prentiss at the police station going over anything new they have. Got it?" Their supervisor Agent Hotchner says, looking around the jet.
Then came the chorus of, "Yes Sir's." from everyone on the jet.
The four of them arrived at the hotel the couple were murdered at and they're walking through the front doors, a detective leading them to the crime scene.
"So, we think our guy lifted the master key from housekeeping." The detective says.
"No one heard anything?" Agent Effie Hawkins asks.
"It looks like both victims were chloroformed the second they walked through the door." Andy Hahn replies.
"Lovely." She says with a sigh, walking into the elevator leading into the room with the bodies.
Derek Morgan takes his sunglasses off, "Let's get some light in here." He says, waving his hands to the detective's on the scene.
They start to open the blinds back, the woman is impaled through her back while straddling the male, as if to signify they were having sex. The male victims eyes and tongue are cut out and put in the ashtray.
The female is dead and the male... that poor guy is still alive and passed out. With no eyes and no tongue, a dead girl on his waist as he has his hands pinned to the headboard along with the females. There's a shrine of pictures near the bed with candles around them.
"Uh, agents, this area's already been documented." The detective says.
"Not by us." Agent Hotchner says sternly.
Effie starts walking around the bed, observing the scene with Doctor Spencer Reid, "They were married, but not to each other." Reid says, pointing to the pictures with gloved hands.
"They were cheating." Effie says, looking at the pictures as well.
"Very pissed-off spouse maybe?" Detective Hahn suggests.
"No, this isn't jealousy. This is something else. The killer is saying the families are blind to what's been going on." Agent Effie says to the detective matter-of-factly.
"Sir? Sir? We're gonna get you out of here I promise." The detective says as he's walking closer to the male victim who's just waking up.
Agent Hawkins bends down, picking up a bottle at the foot of the bed before reading what it held inside it.
"That's not what he's saying. He's saying 'Get me out of her' he's still inside of her. You're gonna find male potency drugs in his system; probably a lot." Agent Hawkins says, holding up the bottle.
"You won't be able to detach them here, so you're going to have to take him with the body." Doctor Reid says.
"Cut him loose." Agent Hotchner says before the detectives take both of them down to prepare to move the bodies.

They made it back to the police station, "Do you have that report for me?" Effie asks the female police chief.
"Forensics is still on the scene." Chief Julie says.
"No, not from the murder this morning. From the Martin Gamboa case, last month." Hawkins says to her before heading out of the room and down a flight of stairs.
Effie feels her phone ringing and she grabs it quickly, "Hello?"
"Hello, Effie. Why didn't you take my call?" A machine like voice says.
"Who is this? How'd you get this number?" The agent asks the voice.
"I nailed them to the headboard. I'm at the Hotel Cortez, room sixty-four. I'm going to do it again. And come alone dear, don't bring your friends." The voice says, breathing heavily into the phone before hanging up.
Effie Hawkins stares at her phone in disbelief for a few moments, locking her phone and debating what she should do. She didn't want to tell her team because she figured whoever it was would hurt them. She would go alone. Looks like she has to find the Hotel Cortez and room sixty-four, she can do this.

Effie Hawkins walks through the front doors of the Hotel Cortez, walking through the lobby and admiring the vintage looking hotel. This place fascinated her.
She makes her way to the front desk and sees the desk clerk, "Meow, you're a sight for sore eyes Miss FBI Agent."
"It's that obvious, huh?" Effie asks.
"Mm-hmm." The older woman says.
"You must have a lot of run-ins with the police." Effie says with a giggle.
"My fair share." She says adjusting her glasses.
"What can you tell me about the occupant in room sixty-four?" Effie asks the woman.
"That room's vacant." She replies.
Effie takes a look at all the keys hanging on the hooks and sees the key is missing, "You mind if I take a quick look?"
"Oh, be my guest." She says before calling out, "Liz Taylor?"
A man dressed in woman's clothes comes walking out of a door, and Effie assumes she is a transgender woman.
"Show this nice FBI Agent to room sixty-four." The desk clerk says.
"Sixty-four?" Liz questions.
"Yes. Room sixty-four, right away."
The woman, Liz Taylor, then leads Agent Effie Hawkins into the elevator, pushing the button to the floor they were going to.
"What can you tell me about the people that come in and out of this place? They mostly residents or transients?" Effie asks Liz on the elevator ride.
"Oh, we got a bit of everything. Some pay by the month, some pay by the hour. Some of the old timers have been here since the dawn of time. You? Who are you looking for?" Liz asks Effie.
"I'm not at liberty to say." The agent replies.
"Oh, I don't mean that. I can see the pain in your eyes. It's very familiar. Oh, you've lost something. And now you're frozen in time. Can't move forward. Can't go back." Liz says, watching Effie.
The elevator door dings as they open, the elevator arriving on the proper floor. Liz walks out of the elevator and leads Effie down the hallway to the door numbered sixty-four. When they arrive Liz unlocks the door for the agent.
"All right, I'll take it from here." Effie says, eyeing the woman.
Liz then almost pins Effie to the wall, holding her hand out for a tip.
"Oh, I uh, I don't have any cash." The agent stuttered out.
"Money isn't everything." The woman scoffs before walking away back towards the elevator.
Once the woman is out of Agent Effie Hawkin's view, she cracks the door open, holding her gun up with one of her hands as she does before putting both hands on her gun.
She slowly walks into the room, taking in it's appearance and searching for any signs of life. Effie notices a wardrobe and walks over to it, opening it with one hand while still holding her gun to only find it empty.
The girl continues to look around the room, still seeing no one in the room. She heads into the bathroom and sees that the shower curtain is closed so she quickly rips it open, nothing behind it.
She puts her gun up in her holster and sits in the bed, her breathing picking up as she continues looking around the room. Effie feels her eyes getting heavy, laying down on the bed so she doesn't fall over her eyes drifting closed soon after.
The radio starts playing some smooth jazz, static hisses and the radio fades in and out. That's when Effie wakes up, glancing at the clock to see it was two-twenty-five in the morning. She looks beside the bed because she felt she was being watched.
Who stood there shocked the woman as she sat up quickly in bed. There's a child there. That child looks so much like her Emmitt. It has to be him. How can it be him?
Emmitt giggles at the sight of his mommy and runs off out of the hotel room.
"Emmitt?" Effie calls out, chasing after the boy.
Effie leaves the room and enters the hallway, seeing her son standing at the end of the hallway so she starts running towards him, the boy running faster away from his mother as she chased him through the halls. She suddenly lost him and somehow ended up back where she started, room sixty-four.

Agent Effie Hawkins phone chimed while she was out, it was a text from Emily Prentiss.
The text on the screen read, "Four-Thirty-Two Deep Canyon Drive. Help Me!"
The girl called her co-workers number, getting Emily's voicemail immediately.
So the agent quickly rushed to the address, being the closest to the address. There's a police car outside of the house and Effie gets out of the car, walking up to it.
"Been inside yet?" She asked the officer.
"No, I just got here. What's going on, agent?" The officer asks Effie.
"I don't know yet. Stay here." Effie says, running into the residence.
The woman holds her gun up as she looks around the premises, none of her team or anyone being there yet but she needed to make sure Emily was okay.
Effie looks around every inch of the building, trying to find anyone or anything, hoping she wouldn't find Emily dead.
Her phone starts ringing and she quickly answers it, "Emily are you okay?" Effie asks, seeing Emily's contact.
"Effie Hawkins." The voice from the previous phone call says.
"Who is this? Where's my friend?" She says to the voice, still searching the building.
"I told you I'd do it again." The voice says.
Spencer Reid makes his way to the scene next, running into the building seeing that Effie had already made it here. He starts searching the house.
"Show me your hands!" Effie yells, seeing a shadow pass by as she's searching, "Stop! Stop!"
Spencer found the two dead men, hanging there, their guts ripped out slightly startled he screams. Hearing Spencer's scream Effie runs towards it, ignoring the figure she was previously following.
"Spencer!" She yells as she tries to find her best friend.
When she finds the room he's in she sees the reason he screamed. Effie looked like she was going to throw up, "Th-The Ten Commandments killer again."

Effie smiles down at her little boy, Emmitt as Spencer throws darts at the balloons. Her and her best friend had taken her son Emmitt out for a day at the carnival, the two agents finally having some time off.
"Oh so close!" Effie says as Spencer misses.
"I'm gonna take Emmitt to the carousel." Effie says to Spencer, smiling and letting her friend play darts.
"Come on baby." Effie says, leading her son toward the carousel.
As they're walking she looks down at him as she holds his small hand in hers.
"You hungry sweetie?" She asks her son.
"Yeah! I want some cotton candy." Emmitt says happily.
Effie laughs quietly, "Baby you need to eat some real food first."
"I'm not hungry for that."
"No? All right, we'll get something after." Effie says, kissing his forehead before putting Emmitt on one of the horses on the carousel.
The attendant buckles him in and makes sure he's safe and secure on the horse, "Here you go" The man says.
"Now you got one with red feet. He's a special one. Don't go too fast." She says with a giggle, the ride starting after.
Effie's phone buzzes and she grabs it quickly, glancing at it and checking the message as Emmitt rides the carousel.
She turns back around just as the horse with the little red feet comes around; and Emmitt isn't on it.
The mother starts to panic, running around the entire carousel checking all the kids faces.
"Emmitt?" Effie calls out.
"Have you seen my son? He was on that horse with the red feet." She asks the other parents on the ride.
"Emmitt!" Effie calls out again desperately, "Emmitt! Emmitt?!"
The girl runs around the carnival screaming his name over and over again, "Emmitt! Emmitt?!"
"Emmitt where are you baby!" The woman screams, breaking down and starting to have a panic attack, she wanted to throw up.
Why did she ever turn away from him.
Someone took her baby boy.
Because of her idiocy.

After everything that's happened, Effie decided she needed to check herself into the Hotel Cortez. She didn't want to be at the hotel her team was in; she fell in love with this mysterious hotel.
So here she was, walking through the doors of the Hotel Cortez once more, rolling her luggage to the front desk to check in. Effie paid the lady at the front desk and she sat out a room key, one with the number sixty-four etched into it.
The girl takes her key, smiling at the desk clerk she now knows as Iris, before heading to the elevator to start her ascend to her floor.
The elevator doors open once she arrives on the floor and she continues wheeling her luggage to her room, stopping right outside room sixty-four.
Effie Hawkins actually smiles before using the key to unlock the door, walking into her room. When she gets in the room she puts all of her things away before changing into some more comfortable clothes.
Finally she walks over to her bed, climbing under the covers before shutting off the bedside lamp and falling asleep after.
