14- Innocent Sins
He hates me, Jihyun hates me!
Of course, he would see me as a murderer, the murderer of his father no matter what the reason is!
A Deadly heartless killer, a pathetic beast!
He would never accept me as a friend now. No one will!
She lounged on the plush sofa, with her head hanging over the edge, and her legs resting on the backrest. Her fingers were adorned with an array of rings, as they toyed with the sleek gun, inspecting it from every angle. With a flick of her wrist, she disengaged the safety and aimed at the ceiling above.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and a young maid barged in. The sudden intrusion startled her, and she reflexively pulled the trigger. The bullet whizzed past the maid's ear, leaving her trembling in terror. Her eyes were wide with fear, and her lips trembled as she tried to speak, but no words came out. She was just a hair's breadth away from death, and the realization of it shook her to the core.
Venom flashed a wicked grin, but soon her expression turned bored as she lounged on the plush sofa. Her fingers toyed with the sleek gun as she inspected it from every angle.
"Ma'am, y-you asked for me?" The maid asked in a timid voice interrupting her play, and she looked up to see the maid standing before her, trembling with fear.
With a casual wave of her hand, Venom acknowledged the maid's presence. "Ah, yes. I remember now," she drawled lazily, raising herself to sit. She ran her fingers through her beautiful soft brown hair, which cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her legs dropped down as she turned around on the couch, and she assumed a more proper sitting position.
The maid tried to keep her composure, but her body betrayed her with tremors of fear. Her forehead glistened with a thin sheen of sweat as she looked down at the ground in deference.
"I want names of things that kids adore these days" Venom asked reloading the gun. The sound made the woman feel dizzy.
"W-well" She stuttered badly.
Venom arched an eyebrow and trained her piercing gaze on the trembling woman. The maid swallowed hard, acutely aware of the danger she had just escaped by a hair's breadth.
"T-Toys?"
"He already has 'em"
Venom's fingers traced the intricate V engraved on the handle of the gun, reveling in the smooth texture. It was her trademark, and every weapon she owned bore her initials, a testament to her dominance and mastery over them.
"Kids love chocolates, icecreams, and movies and going to amusement parks, playgrounds, swings, and places like these... celebrations like birthday parties, balloons, clowns and stuff."
Venom listened intently to every word, her mind absorbing the information like a sponge. She had never experienced such things before, and it all seemed so foreign and bewildering. She was a master at killing, but she knew nothing about the world outside her violent and dark one. Her encounter with Jihyun opened up a whole new perspective, a glimpse of the life she was denied as a child.
Finally, she turned her attention to the trembling maid and spoke in a monotonous tone. "Is that all?" The maid nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. Venom dismissed her with a single word, "Leave." The maid scurried out of the room, grateful to be free from the intimidating presence of the young woman.
A Movie it is! Let's get one then!
------------------------------
For the umpteenth time, Venom ambled around the shelves, observing the various DVDs stacked neatly in rows. Her head tilted quizzically as she tried to decipher their purpose. She had come across similar disks before, but they were used at the Eye's headquarters for cataloging her victims.
With a flick of her wrist, she plucked a DVD off the shelf, the title read "The Wizard of Oz". The colors and imagery on the cover captivated her, and she reached for another labeled "Alice in Wonderland". She was entranced by the fantastical worlds depicted on the packaging.
Humans truly are delusional, creating false colors to hide their ugly faces, she mused to herself, intrigued by their ingenuity.
Lost in thought, Venom found herself holding a stack of DVDs, unsure of what to do with them. A store worker noticed her dilemma and approached her, eager to assist. "May I help you, Ma'am?"
Venom's eyes rolled in annoyance, but her expression quickly shifted to a sweet smile as she turned to face the worker. The man's gaze was immediately drawn to her stunning features, and he couldn't help but gawk at her.
"I can't decide on one" Venom admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed about her indecisiveness.
"Okay, let's see" the worker replied, approaching her and holding out his hand for her to show him the DVDs she had been holding. Venom placed them all in his palm, her fingertips briefly brushing against his skin. The worker smiled at her. Unbeknownst to them, a pair of dark, piercing eyes watched them intently through the glass walls of the store.
"Nice choice there," the worker commented, trying to make conversation. "Who are you buying it for, cause you seem pretty not a kid..."
"A four-year-old," she finally replied.
"Siblings?"
"My Son" She voiced causing the worker to choke on his own saliva.
"Y-your son?" he asked incredulously, looking up at her.
Venom simply nodded, and the worker was momentarily speechless. "You look a bit too young for a kid, You're... married?" he asked, his eyes wide in disbelief.
"No," she replied simply.
The worker paused for a moment, unsure of what to say. "Um, well, ma'am, how about this?" he suggested, picking up a DVD from the shelf. "Children love this sort of movie."
"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?" She voiced amazed by the colorful display and nodded.
"Yeah, this looks fine"
Venom strode towards the cash counter, leaving the worker back at the DVD racks feeling drained of all joy. Lost in her thoughts, she paid for the chosen DVD and exited the store without a word. Walking across the empty parking lot, she located her car and unlocked the door.
As she was about to settle into the driver's seat, someone grabbed her with force, slamming her against the structure of the car. Her instincts screamed for her to pull out the hidden knives in her boots, but the person's appearance halted her movements.
There stood none other than Kim Taehyung.
Venom was taken aback as she turned around to face an enraged Taehyung, who had grabbed her wrists and pinned her against her own car. His body was so close to hers that she could feel his breath on her skin. She was surprised to see him there, especially with such an intense expression on his face. Fear crept into her mind as she tried to pull away, but his grip on her wrists was too strong. His anger was palpable, and it made her heart race with a mix of confusion and unease.
"Taehyung?"
A single word escaped her lips, and Taehyung felt his eyes begin to well up with tears.
"W-what are you doing? Let go of me"
He remained quiet with heavy huffs inflating and deflating his lungs. Venom's hands were restrained in Taehyung's grip, but she made no attempt to use her lethal combat techniques. It was peculiar, even to her, as she couldn't explain why she refrained from plunging her sharp blades into his skull. Some inexplicable force held her back, causing her to struggle fruitlessly against his firm hold.
"I said lemme fucking go Taehyung"
As Venom tried to wrench her wrists free from Taehyung's iron grip, she raised her voice, hoping to make him let go of her. But instead, his anger seemed to intensify and he tightened his hold on her even more, pushing his body closer to hers. The pain in her wrists intensified and she hissed in frustration, glaring daggers at him.
"Why should I let you go, Jiahn-ah?" Taehyung's voice was low and angry, his grip on her wrists tightening. "So, you can go around flirting with anyone and everyone you come across? Or stick your ass to any Goddamn fucker who bumps into you?" he sneered, his face inches from hers as he pressed himself even closer. Venom's eyes blazed with annoyance as she struggled against his hold. She was shocked to see this side of the nerd boy she perceived to be a weak and shy boy.... How many shades do you have Kim Taehyung?
"Excuse me, What the fuck are you talking about, let go of me this instance Kim Taehyung"
"No"
"Taehyung, I said let me go"
"NO"
She shriek-yelled and struggled hard in his grasp, flinching from the rising pain in her wrists.
"Let me the fuck go- mmm~"
Venom's protests were silenced as Taehyung crashed his lips onto hers, in a sudden and aggressive kiss. Her eyes widened in shock, her mind going blank as she was caught off guard.
WHAT!?
What is he doing? Who the fuck he thinks he is to-
She felt a surge of fear rising in her chest, not because of what Taehyung was doing, but because of what led him to this point. Contemplating with her thoughts over what to do while her body remained stiff and frozen, she felt something warm forcefully enter her mouth, and she snapped back to reality.
Taehyung's tongue invaded her mouth and collided with hers, causing her body to shiver to multiple jitters.
"Mmm~ Taehyung" She mewled muffled against his mouth trying to break free from his cage yet his dangerous actions continued to freeze her body on the spot.
Pushing him away with all her might, she was now filled with fear of the boy who had just kissed her so harshly.
With pure shock reflecting in her eyes, she stumbled back looking at the former and leaned forth to open the car door. However, Taehyung wasn't ready to let her go just yet he forcefully pushed her back against the car and trapped her again.
"Let me fucking go Taehyung"
"I won't" He growled back.
Taehyung captured her lips once more, and this time, Venom fought back and struggled to escape. But the more she tried, the more aggressive Taehyung became. She whimpered in pain as he bit her lower lip, drawing blood.
"Mmm~ You are hurting me" She spoke against his lips whimpering to the fear that intensified weighing her heart down. The raven head pulled himself back enough to look at the girl pale in the face with a bleeding lip glistening while she avoided any eye contact with him. His grip on her wrists loosened to expose the marks blooming on the pale skin, Taehyung had then realized his beastly act, he didn't mean to, but he end up hurting her.
"P-please stay back" She stammered pushing her steps back creating distance between the two figures.
"J-Jiahn, I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you-" He leaped forth trying to grab a hold of the girl.
"STAY AWAY TAEHYUNG" Venom's voice erupted in a fierce yell, the intensity of her anger stopping Taehyung in his tracks.
"STAY AWAY, I'M WARNING YOU" She moved back and yanked open the door to her car sliding in and closing it shut.
"Jiahn, wait listen to me"
"JIAHN, WAIT-" As the car sped away furiously, Taehyung's voice echoed behind them in a yell, but it was soon drowned out by the screeching of the tires. He stood there, watching helplessly as venom left him behind, leaving him more hurt than ever before. His heart shattered into a million pieces, and tears began to fall from his big, pretty eyes, rolling down his cheeks like a river of pain.
So, it happened again.
He made her go and she left him again!
This time in a more miserable state...
Broken
Shattered
Lonely and cold.

Jungkook warily surveyed his surroundings, casting an apprehensive glance around the opulent room as he trailed behind Jimin. They had arrived at the residence of Taehyung, the notorious mafia heir, or so he had heard. However, the lavish decor that greeted him was anything but what he had imagined. The walls were adorned with warm tones, and plush auburn carpets cushioned their every step. Glittering chandeliers illuminated the space, casting a golden hue over everything in sight. Jungkook couldn't help but marvel at the unexpected grandeur of the place, feeling somewhat out of place himself.
"You good? You look so stiff for some reason"
"No, I'm fine"
"Well, calm down there is nothing to be worried about, Taehyung is the least harmful being on this planet which makes him totally harmless" Jimin joked pulling the boy beside him closer.
"...besides he is my best friend so you better make a good impression and be nice to him okay?"
"Good evening, Sire" The voice diverted Jimin's focus and he looked back at the butler strolling towards the two Meanwhile Jungkook seemed to have run an autopsy over the old man subtracting any dangers that he could possibly carry along.
"Should I let Young Master know of your arrival!?" The butler asked.
"That won't be necessary, I'll head straight up to his room, Come on kook, by the way, this is Jeon Jungkook, my boyfriend so he will be visiting the place from time to time with me 'course, so keep him in your records" With a tight grip on the fabric of Jungkook's shirt, Jimin tugged him forward, pulling him towards the door of the enemy's lair. Despite his reservations about entering this treacherous place, Jungkook knew better than to object. He didn't want Jimin to go alone into the lion's den, so he gritted his teeth and followed along, crossing his arms and taking slow, lazy steps. Jimin's impatience was palpable as he dragged him away from the butler and up the stairs. Standing on the first step, Jimin turned and glared at Jungkook, silently demanding his cooperation. Though he never agreed to the plan, Jungkook knew that he had to lay low if he didn't want to raise any suspicion.
"Better behave brat! Or I will punish you"
"Why don't we just head back and you can punish me all you want!"
"Jungkook I'm serious" Jungkook leaned in and quickly pecked Jimin's lip taking him by surprise. He knew how to mold the boy's actions into the swirl of his seduction.
"Jungkook-"
"We can have so much fun Babyboy, I miss those neon nights and rosy lips of yours-"
"Shut up, Jeon Jungkook, and get your ass up" Slamming a palm enclosed over Jungkook's mouth, Jimin dragged him behind him walking further into the corridor.
"Taehyungie~" He chirped pushing the door ajar with Jungkook behind. Thick inky darkness welcomed the two until their visions adjusted to the scene.
With a creaking groan, the door flew open, revealing a pitch-black room, shrouded in silence. Sunlight, streaming in through the partially-drawn curtains, painted the walls with a faint glow, casting a dim light on the mysterious space. The musty air felt old and stale, as though it had been trapped inside for ages.
As Jimin's footsteps echoed through the room, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over him. The room seemed oddly still like it was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. At its center, a figure was huddled amidst a mountain of soft pillows and plush blankets, seemingly lost in thought.
Suddenly, Taehyung's head shot up at the sound of Jimin's voice, his eyes blinking rapidly as he tried to adjust to the sudden brightness. Jimin reached for the switch and flicked on the lights, flooding the room with a blinding glow.
Taehyung flinched and squeezed his eyes shut, his body recoiling from the sudden burst of light. As his vision slowly returned, Jimin's eyes widened in shock at the state of the boy before him.
Bloodshot swollen eyes.
Messy hairs.
Tear-stained cheeks.
Tears streamed down Taehyung's face in a torrent, each droplet a witness to the pain he felt inside. He had been crying for what felt like an eternity, his body wracked with sobs as he tried to make sense of the turmoil that raged within him.
Jimin's heart lurched in his chest as he took in the sight of his younger brother, his body shaking with the force of his cries. Without hesitation, Jimin ran-walked towards him, his feet pounding on the floorboards as he closed the distance between them.
Even Jungkook, who had seen Taehyung in the jolliest state, was taken aback by the sight of the boy. Taehyung looked utterly shattered, his body heaving with each ragged breath, his eyes red and swollen from the tears he had shed.
For a moment, the room was silent except for Taehyung's heart-wrenching cries. It was as though the weight of the world had fallen on his shoulders, and he was struggling to bear the burden alone. But he wasn't alone. His brothers were there for him, ready to help him pick up the pieces and start anew.
As Jimin drew near, he could see the brokenness etched on Taehyung's face, and his heart ached with fierce protectiveness. He knew he had to be strong for Taehyung, to help him find his way through the darkness and into the light.
Without a moment's hesitation, Jimin slid into the sea of covers and pillows, his heart pounding with concern for his brother. Taehyung clung to him with strong desperation, burying his face in Jimin's chest as he held him tightly. Jimin could feel the tremble of Taehyung's body, and his heart clenched in sympathy.
"Taehyung, what happened?" Jimin's voice was gentle but urgent. "Please tell me. I'm worried about you. Why are you crying?" Taehyung didn't answer, his grip on Jimin only growing tighter as he tried to find solace in his brother's arms.
"Please, Tell me what's wrong. I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you, no matter what" Jimin pleaded softly. Taehyung remained silent, his body shaking with each sob that wracked him. Jimin knew he couldn't force Taehyung to talk, but he also knew that he couldn't stand by and watch his brother suffer in silence.
"Look, I'm right here, by your side. I'm not going anywhere. Please, tell me what happened. Whatever it is, we'll sort it out together" Jimin murmured, his voice low and soothing. "I'm here now"
Jimin's gaze drifted towards Jungkook, who appeared to be struggling with a whirlwind of thoughts that threatened to engulf him. Despite his reputation as someone with a tough exterior, Jungkook couldn't shake off the strange feelings that Taehyung evoked in him. He couldn't quite place them, but they were definitely not negative. It was a confusing mix of emotions that he yearned to unravel.
Just as Jungkook was about to voice his opinion on the apparent innocence of the mafia heir, he caught Jimin's eye. Jungkook silently gestured towards Taehyung, who was holding onto his boyfriend with a tight grip that made Jungkook uncomfortable. Although he was itching to point out the odd behavior, Jungkook knew it wasn't the right time to cause a scene.
What's wrong with him!?
I don't know kook.
Jimin felt his chest tighten as he heard faint sniffles against in chest from Taehyung. As he peered down at the younger man, he saw that he had buried his head even deeper into Jimin's chest, as if seeking solace. Without hesitation, Jimin enfolded Taehyung in a warm embrace, his arms encircling him tightly. He rested his chin atop Taehyung's head and turned his gaze towards Jungkook, silently communicating the depth of his concern for their friend.
Maybe he needs time and a comfort zone to open up.
Yeah? So you want me to leave?
No, but it's necessary, you know that!
A deep sigh slipped past Jungkook's lips while his thoughts on understanding the situation and wanting Jimin away from Taehyung made his head pound with all the struggle.
Okay, but you are not staying the night here.
I can't promise, look at him he needs me. Please Jungkook for once try to understand, I love you and you only and... And he's my brother he needs me... Please just help me with this.
Jungkook's shoulders drooped as he heaved a sigh, feeling the tension drain out of him. He nodded slowly, accepting the unspoken reassurance from Jimin. Closing the distance between them, he made his way toward Jimin and bent down to plant a gentle kiss on his lips. However, before he could pull away, Jimin's hand slid behind his neck and pulled him in, deepening the kiss. As they parted, Jungkook's lips curved into a faint smile and he met Jimin's gaze, his heart full of gratitude for the love they shared.
"Immediately call me if you need anything, or want to leave or anything-"
"I will I promise, don't worry" Jimin pressed a tender kiss on Jungkook's cheek, silently communicating his love and affection. Jungkook heaved a deep sigh and gazed into Jimin's eyes, taking solace in his lover's unwavering support. As he turned on his heels to make his way out of the enemy's mansion, he kept a vigilant eye out for any potential threats, he walked out.
Jungkook's senses were heightened, and he scanned every inch of the hallways, taking note of the security cameras and emergency buttons strategically placed throughout the building. He knew that any wrong move could cost them dearly, and he was determined to leave no stone unturned. With a steely resolve, he continued his journey toward the exit, his mind focused on getting out there in one piece.
"Now, Tell me honestly what happened okay?"
Taehyung nodded in agreement, his eyes locked onto Jimin's. He reached out and took hold of Jimin's delicate hands, his fingers seeking out Jimin's small pinkie. It was a habit that Taehyung had developed over time, a comforting gesture that he resorted to whenever he had to discuss painful or difficult topics with Jimin.
The touch of Jimin's soft skin against his own was soothing, and Taehyung found himself unconsciously tracing circles on Jimin's pinkie. It was a silent plea for reassurance, a way of reminding him of the trust Jimin had earned from him. And Jimin, sensing Taehyung's unease, squeezed his hand in return, silently vowing to be there for him through thick and thin.
"I... saw her again"
"Her? Jiahn?"
A quiet nod was what he gave.
"Is she all right?"
Taehyung nodded.
"Then?"
"I messed up again Chim" Taehyung's distress was palpable as he let out a mournful whine, his eyes now a deep shade of blood-red, brimming with fresh tears. The weight of his emotions seemed almost too heavy to bear, and he clung tightly to Jimin's hands, seeking some form of comfort.
Despite the pain etched on Taehyung's face, Jimin remained steadfast, his love and support unwavering. He could feel Taehyung's tears on the back of his hand, a heartbreaking reminder of the pain that his friend was going through. With a heavy heart, Jimin leaned in closer, enveloping Taehyung in a tight embrace, offering him a shoulder to cry on.
"She left me again"
"And why do you think like that?"
"I yelled at her and....."
"And?"
"And I h-hurt her, I-I couldn't think straight with my anger pricking my nerves"
"You what!?" Jimin asked softly.
"I f-forced her into a... kiss"
"What!?" Jimin had his eyes widened like saucers.
"I know I messed up more, She'll never want to see this face of mine again, but Chim I-"
As Jimin looked into Taehyung's eyes, he saw a turbulent mix of emotions reflected back at him - desperation, pain, hurt, guilt, love, need - all swirling together in a raucous turmoil. It was clear that his friend was going through a riotous struggle of mind, and Jimin's heart ached at the sight of the boy in such a vulnerable state.
He could feel the weight of Taehyung's emotions bearing down on him, and he silently vowed to do everything in his power to help ease his friend's pain. For Jimin, Taehyung was more than just a friend - he was family.
Taehyung's voice trembled with emotion as he spoke, his words thick with regret and sorrow. "I am so sorry for what I did" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I shouldn't have done it, but I...I..."
A lump formed in Taehyung's throat, choking off his words and leaving him struggling to find the right way to express himself. The weight of his guilt and shame threatened to overwhelm him, and he hung his head in shame, unable to meet Jimin's gaze. It was clear that Taehyung was struggling deeply with his actions, and the weight of his remorse was almost too much to bear.
"Why did you do that Taehyung?"
"I-I didn't want to hurt, b-but I just felt so much wrath seeing her with some other guy, just l-living her life without a care in the world, leaving me here... here all alone suffocated under the pile of my reckless terrifying thoughts- How can she just-" He choked on his words stammering in the way.
"Why do you care?"
"I love her Jimin"
"Love? Isn't that a bit too early to say so?"
"I just know Jimin, I do, I really love her"
"Taehyung, you should know the depth of your words here, love doesn't blossom in a day-"
"You and Jungkook are in love too, how long it took? A decade!?"
"I-"
"Love is not just a number or a clock ticking away the moments we spend together," Jimin spoke softly, his voice filled with warmth and tenderness"
"It's a feeling, an infatuation, a sentiment that leaves you feeling complete. It's not something that can be measured in time or distance. It's a force that swells within your chest, overpowering any sadness and filling you with joy and contentment"
"Love makes you feel alive and I felt... alive with her. Where everyone else left me to rot in this hell, she breathed life back into me"
As he listened to those heartfelt words, Jimin found himself at a loss for what to say. He was touched by the deep sentiment behind them, and his heart ached to see Taehyung in such a state. The potential pain that came with it. His frown deepened as he mulled over the situation, feeling a sense of fear and uncertainty gnawing at his insides.
He knew all too well that love was not a game to be played lightly. It was a complex and delicate emotion, capable of bringing both immense joy and unbearable heartbreak. And while he wanted nothing more than for Taehyung to find happiness, he also couldn't shake the nagging feeling that this could end in pain and heartache.
