Drowned

Feliciano Vargas was your average three year old boy. He was happy, energetic and imaginative. He loved to draw, paint, eat, sing, and play with his older brother; Lovino Vargas. It was a warm summer day when it all happened. The young boy's grandfather had gone out to do some business work and left the two boys with a trusted friend.

Lovino had started getting into video gaming systems such as the old gameboy systems that he found lying around. He tried to get his brother to play with him but Feliciano refused since obviously, he was only three. Feliciano tried to get Lovino to do something else which only resulted in him grunting. Frustrated he said;

" I'll go play by myself then!"

Lovino once again waved it off and Feliciano began wandering around the house. He tried to get Roderich, the caretaker at the time to play with him but the Austrian simply refused. The toddler decided the only thing he could do now was play outside. After several attempts Feliciano finally opened the door and ran outside. For awhile he played with his favorite rubber ball that for some reason was never allowed inside. He threw it around until he accidentally threw it into the pool.

Of course his first thought was to go get the ball so he did simply that. He climbed up the pool ladder and sat onto the edge of the pool and reached out for the ball. It was just barely touching his finger tips. He figured if he leaned just a bit further until...

SPLASH!

He fell straight into the pool. Panicked he gripped the ball and started to scream

" Help! per favore! Help!"

Lovino heard the blood curdling screams and ran outside to see what was happening this time. But to his horror he saw Feliciano sink under. Quickly he ran to the pool and jumped in and clung onto his little brother who was struggling to get up. Although slowly, he began to sink as well

'Damn it..' He thought to himself as he tried harder to pull them both up.

Although, it was too late, he was forced to let go. His brother quickly stopped moving.

Lovino sat in his room that night and began to kick the near wall

" Damn it, Damn it, Damn it!!" He sobbed.

He felt so much pain, so much emptiness. Nothing his grandfather said could change it.
He couldn't believe he had let his own brother die like that. He was so close, but everything happened too fast. If only he had been there sooner. The fact that Feliciano Vargas died on July 8th, 2000 would haunt him forever.
