She was living life to the fullest now with him by her side

Because he showed her life to it's fullest

She finally felt confident in her thick, curly hair, her big chubby legs, her flat nose and wide hips because sometimes all you need is a push to love yourself

She now loved the features that you made her feel bad about, her confidence in herself unwavering

She had realized you were just a stepping stone on the path to loving herself, inside and out

You had shown her love, when she felt she couldn't love herself

And for that she was grateful, because now she was dark, and she loved to be

Wow! I never thought I would be able to make my own book like this! Many black girls and people in general go through a lot of racism and mostly it is just because of their skin color and I feel that its not right to pick on others because of their skin tone or anything in general. This is a topic I feel very strongly about because I feel growing up as an Black girl is hard enough. A lot of people are constantly looking down on you because of your skin color. Be free to be whoever you want to be! Your skin color doesn't limit you. Reach for the stars.
