I watch in horror as my worst, most-feared, enemy, Mapleberry starts toward the shivering kit, it's a while before I realize it's my kit, what's she doing here? My precious Hammi. Hammi cries out,"M-Mom, help!" I can't move,slowly, I look down, and let my mouth drop, I'm covered in blood that isn't mine, terrified, I look around, there she is, Lark, a bloody mess on the ground but.... something's wrong she isn't fading.... for all I know, Lark was a resident here I'm sure of it, but that doesn't stop my blood going icy with fright. Lark slowly gets up blood pouring out of her neck, then I realize what has been going on, her glowing blue eyes have icy rings around them she shoots a glowering looks at Mapleberry then disappears into nothingness. An orange Tom comes and my heart literally stops. "Mapleberry, leave it." he says slowly. Mapleberry looks up there's genuine hurt in her gaze, I know why, the orange tom had rejected her in living times, how I know this, I have no idea. Mapleberry's reply literally knocks me off my feet. "Oh, C'mon, Hawkglare, can't I have a little fun?" Hawkglare walks out of the dark clearing, once Mapleberry has stopped harassing my kit and winks at me. I wake up with Hammi safely at my belly, and I'm glad to see light again. I guess that's why I call it the Place of no light.
