That night, Honeypaw lay down to sleep hoping to find herself in Dark Forest. Instead, she came to a meadow with bright blue skies and plenty of prey.

"Why do you train in Dark Forest?"

Honeypaw spun around.

In front of her stood a light brown,sleek furred cat.

"Excuse me?" she replied.

"Why do you train in Dark Forest?" he asked again.

" Well, they have the best battle training,they don't treat like a kit, they didn't ignore me when I was ugly, and they have Hawkfrost."

His whiskers twitched in amusement. " So if we had a Hawkfrost here, you would rather be here."

"Well, what kind of training do you offer?"

" You'll just have to wait and see."

"Bring me back to Dark Forest!"

"No. It's a dangerous place full of murderers and traitors."

"How do you know I'm not those?"

"Well, I don't. I only know you haven't murdered anyone yet and you don't belong there. Here, why don't you stay, just for tonight."

"But-"

"Come on Honeypaw!"

" Fine."

The cat nodded. "I'm Crookedstar by the way."

"I guess you already know my name."

"Yep."

Suddenly, something knocked Honeypaw over.

"Owlfur! Do not knock our visitor over! And that is a command!"

Owlfur rolled his eyes and winked at Honeypaw.

Honeypaw felt something warm her from paw to tail tip.

"Sorry Honeypaw."  He winked again.

This time, she couldn't help but purr in laughter.

"What's so funny?" Crookedstar asked, puzzled.

Owlfur widened his eyes and shook his head just a tiny bit. It was as if they could read each other's minds.

"Nothing Crookedstar."

Crookedstar narrowed his eyes and looked unconvinced, but after a few moments, he let it go.

Just then, another cat came into view. He was an orange cat with green eyes. Honeypaw instantly recognized im  the legendary warrior, Firestar.

"Crookedstar, Owlfur, Honeypaw needs to go now. She's going to miss the dawn patrol if she doesn't."

"Alright," responded Crookedstar and Owlfur.

As Honeypaw faded away, she hesitantly asked, "Can I come back tomorrow night?"

The three of them smiled, looking almost as if they had achieved something and relieved,answered,"Yes, you may."

Then Honeypaw was gone.
