Unstable
Her eyes darted around in the darkness looking for any signs of movement. She held her blade tightly in her hand as she felt her heart beat begin to rise. She took off deeper into the woods than she had gone before, the shadows engulfing her as she thought of how stupid she was. She ran away from her only protection and for what, to prove to herself she wasn't weak, or to prove to them that she wasn't a bad choice. She stopped dead in her tracks as she heard a chuckle and cracking of leaves behind her. She turned her head slightly and from the corner of her eye saw a dark-haired woman with pale white skin and a black dress. Her face covered with an expressionless mask.
"Oh! How lovely of you to join me out her tonight Miss Nox." The woman said. Luna could feel herself freezing up with fear but tried to push the feeling away to the deeps places of her mind.
"And who exactly are you? I don't think I have ever seen you before." Luna said strongly but her voice still seemed to crack a bit from the fear that gripped her heart. She turned completely around to see the woman in her full form. She played with a similar knife to the one Luna held clenched in her hand.
"You don't need to worry about my name... Not till you are almost dead." Luna could feel the woman's cold glare burning into her chest. She was caught off guard when the lady ran at her slashing down with the knife. Luna stumbled back and went to block the knife with hers but ended up getting a large gash in her wrist. The woman took a small step back and Luna could just feel the smirk behind her mask. She looked down at her wrist and saw the blood staining her shirt sleeve. She looked back to the woman with a smile. The whites of her eyes black causing her red eye to seemingly glow in the dark.
"I think you may underestimate me.... Cause I know I did!" Luna lunged at the woman sporadically slashing at her with the knife. The sound of metal slashing and slamming against metal filled the air. The woman was mildly concerned by the sudden fluctuation of power in the girl. She lifted a leg and kicked Luna in the stomach with extreme force sending her flying into a tree. Luna just stood up still smiling. Blood started dripping from her eye and a blood patch showed through her bandages of where her other eye would be.
"You... Seem shocked..." Luna said as she straightened herself up a bit of blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. She held the knife up and it hovered there for a moment.
"Now I think it is time for you to die...... You may live for a few moments so got tell them they can shove me dying right up their fucking asses!" Luna grabbed the knife and threw it. It pierced through the woman's stomach. She fell to the ground and vanished into thin air. Leaving nothing but Luna's knife. Luna went over and picked it up and began walking back to the house. She was inches from the door when she came back to reality. The pain in her wrist was excruciating. She wrapped her hand around it as she fell to her knees from the pain. She reached for the door knob when the door flew open, she looked up and standing in front of her was the boy in the white hoodie she had fought with that morning. He just stared down at her for a second before sighing and pulling her up to her feet.
"I swear you are more trouble than you're worth, but leave it to Slendy to leave us with you." He sighed again and pulled her inside shutting the door.
"Man, I was about to go out but now I have to take you to Jack, there goes my fun."
"I...I'm sorry to ruin the fun." Luna replied sarcastically. Jeff had a tight grip on her arm as he led her down a hallway. It was dark and the lights seemed to be malfunctioning, constantly flickering causing the atmosphere to shift around her.
"Yea, whatever, it's just a bit further down the hallway." He said before stopping in front of a door that was ajar. He pushed it open and pulled her inside. It looked like an operating room from a horror movie. Jeff had let go of her and disappeared behind one of the curtains sectioning off parts of the room. She walked around the opened part she was in just staring at everything. Her head was starting to feel fuzzy and her vision was blurring. She looked down at her arm and saw her hand was red with her own blood and large drops rolled from her fingers and dripped onto the floor making a trail as she walked. She grabbed onto one of the operating tables with her blood-soaked hand. Footsteps echoed behind her. She cocked her head to see who was behind her. Jeff stood there holding things she couldn't quite make out due to her vision fading in and out.
"W.... wait... I thought...... You had to get... Jack" She said weakly as she turned around wobbling a bit as she moved her feet.
"Well I was going to but he seems to be out at the moment, so you get stuck with my messy work for now." He muttered as her slid a chair over.
"Now I need you to sit on that table, which seems you have already bled on." Luna nodded as she tried to pull herself up on the table but having a bummed arm made it difficult, along with the amount of blood the was on her hands making her slip. Jeff sighed a set the medical supplies on the table. He grabbed her and lifted her up onto the table, then sat on the chair.
"T......Thank you..." She muttered as he grabbed her arm and rolled up the blood-soaked sleeve. She winced a bit as the fabric pulled at the wound. He ignored her pain and grabbed the clear bottle he had set on the table opening it. It gave off the smell of alcohol and at that moment she knew this was going to be extremely painful. He poured the alcohol onto the wound to disinfect it. The alcohol made a burning pain shoot up her arm. She tried to pull away but it just caused Jeff to tighten his grip on her arm.
"Do not jerk away. Got it. Cause that will cause you even more pain." He said as he dabbed the wound with gauze padding. The blood flow hadn't slowed down but Jeff knew he had to get it patched up. He treaded a hooked needle and pierced it through the skin of her arm and started to stitch the wound up. It only to a few painful minutes to finish the stitch work. He dabbed the stitched wound once more with a disinfectant cover gauze pad before wrapping it up in a gauze wrap.
"There, it is done. Just be careful with it okay. If you pull one of those stitches you will be back down here." Jeff said as he stood up and grabbed the supplies that were left and disappeared behind the curtain. Luna took the time to regain her bearings as her vision came back slightly. She struggled to slip her backpack off, once off she set it on the table next to her and looked through it. She pulled out a black tank top that had red splattered all over it. She set it beside the bag and carefully pulled her current shirt off and set it on the other side of her. She let out a small sigh. She felt exhausted and didn't want to move. She heard the curtain moving and went wide eyed as she grabbed the new shirt and struggled to get it on. Once she got it over her head she saw Jeff. She quickly pulled it down her face turning a slight redder tone from the embarrassment.
"Heh...Heheh... I was... I mean I needed to... I was covered in blood and it felt weird so...I changed... I am so sorry." Luna said Nervously as she tried to slide off the table and make her way to the door. She failed and tripped over herself falling to her knees as a faint light headed feeling over whelmed her brain. Jeff sighed and grabbed her bag from the table and then picked her up off the ground. He carried her out the door and walked down the hallway.
"Hey, just wanted to let you know not to flatter yourself. I am only helping you out because if you die all of us are going to be in some deep shit." He came to stair case and stopped for a moment. Some felt off and she could feel it.
"Is everything okay?" She asked snapping Jeff from whatever was distracting him.
"Yeah..." He simply said as she carried her up the stairs and down the dimly lit hall to her door. He pushed it open with his foot and brought her to her bed and sat her down. He let her bag slip off his shoulder and then he turned to walk out but stopped in the doorway. Luna looked at him curiously tilting her head. She could tell something was bugging him.
"I can tell somethings up. So, you can either tell me... Or I can pry it out of you." She said trying to be assertive. She knew he had some kind of knowledge he was holding back.
"Well that will all depend on who attacked you..." Jeff replied as he turned back to her and leaned in the doorway.
"Well... I am not sure who it was... She didn't give me a name, but she had dark hair and pale skin, oh and she wore a mask... Kind of like Masky's. Why does this matter?" She could feel the energy of the room change with every word she spoke. Something about the woman that attacked her stuck a cord in Jeff, but she had no idea why.
"Because... It lets me know the kind of trouble you got yourself in." He turned back to the door and walked out slamming it behind him. She stared at the door confused. He seemed angry, but why. She laid back on her bed staring at the ceiling. She was starting to fade into a deep sleep, but she was awoken suddenly by the sound of something slamming against the glass window pane. She jumped up and looked at the darkened window barely being able to the mark smudged on it. She slowly walked over to it trying to figure out what the mark was. As she got closer her eyes widened in horror. That mark on the window was a bloody hand print. She went to touch it her hand shaking. Her fear raised more when she touched it and felt the warm stickiness of fresh blood. Whatever made this mark was in her room with her. She turned to face the room her back as close to the window as she could get it. The room was had turned pitch black as she stared into it. Her body was trembling in fear as she felt the darkness close in around her. A figure showed in the darkness as if it had a spotlight shining on it. The figure mad Luna's heart drop to the floor. She raised a hand as tears rolled down her cheek. Standing before her was a woman with long straight blonde hair and tanned skin, it was her mother.
"Lenore... hunnie... you're......" Her mother voice stopped as she let out a scream of pain her body becoming mangled and blood.
"YOU'RE THE REASON! YOU CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" Her mother yelled. Luna began to sob falling to the ground.
"I'm sorry! I didn't want this! I didn't know this would happen!" Luna yelled gripping her head with her hands as the voice of her mother just kept echoing saying the same thing over and over again. Her body was trembling as she curled up on the floor trying to block out the voice and the image. She was startled by the sound of her door flying open. She looked up with a tear covered face to see who was there now to torture her now. All she saw was Jeff in the door way staring down at her. She looked around franticly, sitting up from the floor, but no one else was there. The room was no longer pitch black, but instead palely illuminated by then moon shinning through the window. The bloody hand print was gone from the glass.
"Is everything okay? I leave for two minutes and you start screaming." Jeff said as he walked in and offered her a hand to get up. She took it and he pulled her up onto her feet.
"No...... nothing is okay. I saw her... S...she was... Why?" She walked towards the widow as she kept crying, placing a hand on the cool glass.
"Wait, What? Who did you see? You got me all sorts of confused." Luna balled her hand into a fist and punched it through the glass getting several gashes and cuts on her hand as she pulled it out of the shattered hole in the window.
"Don't worry about it..." She said as she turned around her hand dripping blood. The white of her eye was a pure black and her red iris was glowing. Jeff took a step back a tad bit frightened.
"Well then we should at least patch that hand now that you ran it through some glass." He said trying to be snarky to hid the slight fear he felt. She only nodded and left the room. When she passed by a dark sadness filled the air. He reached out to grab her but stopped when her hand grabbed onto his wrist tightly. She glared back at him with a glowing anger in her eye.
"Do not touch me... Not until you have to fix my hand." Her voice was harsh and strange. Jeff just stared at her until he felt a burning on his wrist. He jerked it away quickly shocked by the sensation. He took a step back from her.
"There is something extremely broken in you. I mean I am pretty broken but you take it to a whole new level." Luna slowly turned around her expression showing the amount of anger in her.
"Broken.... That doesn't even begin to explain it... I Saw MY Mother Dead! Mutilated On The Floor Of Her Own Room! It's All Because Of Me!" She screamed as the white of her eye faded back to white as she collapsed to the ground in tears. She could never come to terms with that fact no matter how hard she tried to. It was her fault. Her birth cursed her family and she just wanted it to end already.
"People died because of me...... How am I supposed to live with that....? How can I ever believe anything else...? I don't even know if my dad is dead or was taken to be tortured... Why? Why do I get to live, yet everyone I ever cared about...? They are slowly dying and I can't do anything to protect them because I am stuck here...... I just want this pain to be over." She clasped her hands around the heart shaped locket of her mothers. Hanging her head down as she cried in the middle of the hallway not want to be alive anymore.
"W...well we were all brought here for a reason or another... You can't save everyone." Jeff said feeling a bit awkward at the topic of saving people. How was he supposed to help in that situation? He's a killer not a life saver. He kneeled in front of her and sighed awkwardly as he hugged her. Luna froze, shocked by the sudden compassionate energy she felt, but she just smiled as a few more tear rolled down her cheek.
"Oh... If you tell anyone about this I will personally end you." Jeff said trying to intimidate her. She just laughed and pushed him away from her.
"Of course, can't lose your edgy reputation now can you." She laughed a bit more as he shook his head.
"Yea...... Wait! I am not edgy! I'm serious Luna!"
"If you say so." Luna said as she stood up wiping the tears away.
"I think we should go take care of this, before I start dripping blood and glass everywhere." She turned and walked away down the hall. Jeff followed her shaking his head.
