Poison in my veins

Like the wild fire of hell it burns

Each vein in my body has its turn

Running through my veins, blood I doubt it is

Deep purple flickering to red, its color is

Allowing every heartbeat, it keeps me alive

Smelling so pure and good, in it I want to dive

It runs through me with an impossible tenderness

It makes me want to embrace the world with softness

Drowning in its depth, I know exactly why

Running away from it, I will never try

Vast and mysterious as the ocean

Sentenced to life, I have to live with caution

Provoking disasters, it’s not my blood but your love

From this deadly poison I have to grow out of

Running through my veins, silently it poisons me

Taking control of me, secretly it’s killing me
