You told me I’m the one for you

I believed you, I believed in us

I trusted every word every kiss every hug

I saw a new future with you

We were cuddled on a stormy day

You were telling me how special I am

How much you love me

With my next breath I felt a jolt through my body

I felt something different something terrible

I opened my eyes but it was too late

You were gone

You just disappeared, vanished

And I was sitting under the tree

I fall down from heaven with my broken wings

I’ve been left with my broken dreams

It was just a beautiful dream
