As the sun arose in your room you opened your eyes and looked around. You saw Ayato sleeping by you you smiled at him and got up. You got clean clothes and went to the shower. After the shower you got out and remembered what day it was today. (Very, very late update I know but go with it!)

You gave a huge smile as you started to go back to room, you saw that Ayato was already awake and up which made you more happy because now you can sort his birthday surprise out and later on you can sort his present out too.

While Ayato was in his own room you went up too Touka and asked the type of things Ayato likes. She gave you a list and you started to write them down. "Why do you want too know?" Touka asked you.

"Because it's Aya's birthday today and I wanted to make a surprise party for him!" You explained too her.

She gave a smile too you and nodded her head, she thought it was a great idea of making him a surprise party. And since you've been practicing makimg the coffee so you was going to do that since you wanted Ayato to taste how you make it.

When Ayato finally came down from getting ready he got his shoes on and was about too leave. "Bye Aya!" You spoke too him.

"Stop calling me that!" He spoke and left.

You smiled and went too everyone else asking if they would help you get ready for his surprise party. After school Touka was the one that was going to have him back at exactly 4:00pm. You started on the decorations and some others helped while the owner started to make food for the party.

Since this was a café obviously he had to make food for for human consumption but he at least there was coffee for the ghouls. Every now and then you had to stop making decorations too serve the customers. "Oh my what's going on here?" This old lady ask you.

"It's Aya's birthday today and we're doing a surprise party for him! He's at school right now which will give us enough time to make the decorations and food ready for when he comes back!" You explained.

She smiled at you and nodded her head, she gave you her order and you went to go and make it. As you was getting the order loads of ideas was rushing through your head since it's Ayato's birthday you didn't want any of this to be horrible. You gave the lady her order and continued to make the decorations. When Irumi came back with the card you signed it and so did all the people that worked there.

You even had some of the regulars sign the card for you too.

As the time was drawing closer and closer for Ayato too come back you finished the decorations and put them up you then started to make coffee for the ghouls and helped the owner get the last preparations for the cake done. You even had the present done too.

I hope Aya likes this, and I hope he likes the present too. I don't know how he celebrates his birthday but I'm glad I can celebrate it with him this time!

Since it was only a few minutes until 4:00pm all of you hid yourselves. The door opened and everyone shouted.

"Surprise! Happy birthday Ayato!"

Which left a shocked Ayato standing there, he looked around and saw you holding out a birthday cake too him. "Make a wish Aya!" You spoke.

He looked at the candles and then looked at you and blew them out. Everyone clapped and you passed the cake too the owner for him to place it down. Ayato looked around surprised that it was happening. He looked at you again. "You did this didn't you." He stated.

"Yep!" You answered him. "How did you know?" You asked him.

"Because only you would come up with a ridiculous idea too celebrate someone's birthday." He retorted.

You rolled your eyes at his answer with a small smile. "yep there is the Aya I know." You spoke up.

He became annoyed and that's when you pushed him too the snack table. "Try the coffee!" You said to him.

He looked at it, and picked up a cup, everyone in that room was smiling and was happy you two was getting alone. Once Ayato tried it you smiled. "How is it?" You asked him.

"It's like coffee." He spoke up.

Again you rolled your eyes, you was use to his snarky comments by now and just smiled at him. You took him around the place so he can see everything and even have him ghoul friendly food behind the counter, so the human guests couldn't see him. Ayato and you was having a great time.

A little bit into the party you went up to him and gave him your present you looked at him and saw he was confused and surprised you got him something for his birthday. When he opened it it was a bracelet he looked at you. "Happy birthday Aya." You said to him with a smile on your face.

He looked from you too the bracelet and then back at you as he heard you say those words too him. You continued too smile at him as he closed the box that held the bracelet in. "Thank you." He spoke up.

This made you smile even more.

But unfortunately happiness does not last forever. Because a few days later Ayato left.

Chapter 12 done! And the next chapter is when your teenagers! Around 15 years old he is I think so I'll put you as that.

I am sorry it took me a while too update but that's how it is I got a lot of things going on so expect slow updates.

Since I have no idea how long I can actually keep this going I will say this now and then at the end:

Everything that is going on with you in this story does actually belong to my OC you just took her place. I didn't know whatelse too put in this story and people was asking for a Ayato x Reader do I just made a story with my OC but put you instead. 🤭
