Chapter 23: "Prepare for the Future"
As the world seemed to go back to its normal rhythm for our heroes. The Sports Festival had a few days that came to a conclusion, the school gave a few days of rest so the injuries of the students could heal and they would go back to full capacity. The people walking through the wet streets of the city after a rain gave us the sensation of a new beginning while everyone resumed their day to day routine.
The adults go to their respective jobs and for the teenagers to their respective schools. And our protagonists were no exception, Izuku and (Y/N) were taking the train to continue where they left off at U.A. Both of them seemed to still have bandages in certain parts of their bodies as they haven't fully recovered, but just enough so they can go on with their responsibilities.
Fan#1: "Excuse me... Excuse me! Midoriya from the hero class!" One of the members in the crowd recognized him, and gave him a thumbs up. The man stopped to call the attention of his young Idol.
Fan#2: "Good job at the sports festival! You were so close!" Another person congratulated him, although he was not in first place, it was undeniable that he fought hard. And he made it far with his effort.
Izuku: "Huh?" He didn't understand what was happening, he was never the center of attention like this. He used to be the outcast or be near the person who has the attention. It was kind of overwhelming for him.
Fan#3: "You were in the top eight, right?"
Fan#2: "You were so cool!"
Fan#4: "He's smaller than I expected."
Fan#5: "He reminds me of when I was young."
Fan#6: "Yeah, it's like he's trying really hard. Do your best!"
Izuku: "I will!" He had a blush on his face. As he saw one of the screens at the ceiling of the train, that showed the first places of the Sports Festival.
As the young brocoli boy was swarmed with the attention of his fans, he was really weirded out. It was not common for him to be the center of attention. Besides the fact that his social skill made him an easy prey. As the compliments kept coming, and people started to invade his personal space with pat at the back and such. The poor Izuku only wanted to get out of there and have a breather, he already took the maximum he could endure.
Izuku: "(Y/N) HELP!!!" His screams were not taken into consideration as our protagonist was having problems of his own. With something a little bit more difficult than just regular fans.
FANGIRLS...
Fangirl: "(Y/N), you were so cool during the sports festival!" She was starting to invade the shadow user's personal space.
Fangirl#2: "Of all the other contendants, you were my favorite!" She turned his head by force using both hands to grab his cheeks.
Fangirl#3: "You are a lot more handsome in person..." This one in particular got one of his hands between her own. As she used one of her hands to softly caress the top of his hand slowly.
Fangirl#4: "Can I give you a kiss?! Please!" This girl in particular tried to make her way to him by jumping over all the others.
Fangirl#5: "Me first!" Another one follow the example of the previous. And it didn't take much time for the next girl to try to force him into her submission of affection.
Fangirl#6: "Me too" And the "Ladies" kept coming and coming. There were too many girls on this train.
Fangirl#7: "¡Me three!"
The poor boy was suffocated in a sea of girls, that variation in age, some of them a little bit older some were a little bit younger, but all of them wanted to get close to him. (Y/N) was at the center of all this sea of affection, being grouped hug into submission while the closest ones to him were delivering kisses on his forehead, cheeks, chin, anywhere they could land.
(Y/N): "Well, thanks girls, you are all lovely and I appreciate your support..." He said with an awkward smile as he tried to remain calm in this situation. "But... IS GETTING KINDA HARD TO BREATHE IN HERE, SO..." He said in finally becoming into a state of desperation. He attempted to escalate on this multitude to get out.
Although, the next thing that happens is that (Y/N) is grabbed by every single female on the circle and is brought once more at the very bottom. Where all of them can spend much more time showing their love to him.
The minutes become almost eternal for both heroes, when things like that happen you realize how long each second really is. And just when they thought that their conviction was going to falter, the train finally made it into the station, the liberating sound of the train coming to a complete stop, as the fresh air finally made its way to the inside as the doors of the machine opened up.
(Y/N): "RUN! IZUKU!" He blasted outside the train as the doors finally opened. Running as he didn't notice that now he was only on his white shirt of his uniform.
Izuku: "HEY, WAIT FOR ME!!!" He followed close behind him, forgetting for a few seconds that he was injured.
Fangirls: "Aww!" All the girls watched in sadness as their idol left abruptly from their grasp. And run to liberty.
Fangirl#1: "I still got his jacket... So I won!" One of the girls at the center turned to look down at her hands, she was possibly the one that tried harder to get a grip on the Shadow Boy. As she noticed with a smile that she had been able to take the top part of the UA's uniform that he was wearing.
Fangirl#2: "GIVE ME THAT JACKET!" One spoke the voice of many as she engaged with the other fangirl for that jacket, as all the others around them started to do the same. Just in time for the doors of the train to close once again.
Timeskip - UA's Grounds
After the fiasco at the train station, our two protagonists made their way to the school trying to forget recent events while enjoying the nice tranquility and breeze of the rain. Izuku was walking just beside (Y/N) with his umbrella.
(Y/N): *Sneezes* "Oh, great..." After he sneezed, he exclaimed in desperation. Their first day back, and things weren't going exactly as planned. Now he was risking getting sick with the cold. Brushing the sides of his arms with his hand to make some friction and give himself some warmth, as he was just wearing his white shirt.
Izuku: "I got you..." Izuku being the (Y/N)'s best friend, he always had his back. No, he didn't have an extra jacket for him, but at least he gave him a little tissue for him to treat his runny nose. During that exchange, an accelerated Iida could be seen approaching the duo at high speed.
Iida: "Good Morning, Midoriya & (Y/N)" He was running with a green poncho and white rain boots. "Why are you two walking so slowly? You're going to be late!" Iida passes them easily.
Izuku: "Late? There are still five minutes until the first bell." Even though he was trying to reason with him, he was influenced by the loving-rule spirit of Iida. AS he started to run as well.
Iida: "U.A. Students should always arrive ten minutes early!" He said with Izuku following short behind him. As he turned to look behind him he noticed that (Y/N) was still walking and had created an umbrella out of darkness to cover himself from the rain. "(Y/N) come on! You are going to be late!"
(Y/N): "You guys continue... I'm 5 minutes early anyway, I hate waiting..." He said with a funny smile as he knew that he was getting a little bit on the nerves of Iida, especially coming from their Class President. "I'll still be on time..."
The other two watched him for a few seconds in confusion before they realized that they didn't have the time to try to convince him, so they resumed their jogging.
Meanwhile - Principal Nezu Office
Inside the school, the principal's office was on the highest floor of U.A. The atmosphere was silent, no one made a sound. Almost as if the leader of the school didn't want to be disturbed. The only sound that was accompanied was the leaky noise of the water against the glass.
In the office one could witness the white hair mutation of a rat, dog or bear. He was looking intently at the screen on the computer that was playing the recordings from the USJ during the incident. The recordings consisted of many open windows with one thing in common, (Y/N).
After the sports festival, he was able to see that (Y/N) was at the brink of unlocking a new phase to his power in the battle against Todoroki. After that, everything clicked on his brain. Something big was approaching, the appearance and words of the President of the Hero Association gave him this intel, it could be felt on the air. And they needed to be prepared, although Nezu was a logical creature that dealt with facts and solid proof, he knew that (Y/N) is key in order to succeed.
As he made his train of thought, a knock on his door made him stop. He didn't even close the windows on the computer, because this sudden visit was someone that he was expecting.
Nezu: "Come in." He said kindly, taking a seap of his tea in an elegant white cup.
Aizawa: "You wanted to see me principal..." Mr. Aizawa, who didn't have his bandages any more, peeked half of his body through the open door, asking for permission to come in.
Nezu: "Yeah, please, Aizawa take a seat..." He pointed to one of the chairs that was in front of his desk.
Aizawa: "I'm aware that you wanted to talk about something serious..." He started the conversation calmly, pulling the chair just enough for him to place himself on the furniture. But as you would expect he didn't seem to relax, not dropping his guard at any moment. Not that being called to the principal's office was something automatically bad, but it was always important.
Nezu: "Yes, it was regarding one of your students, Young Black, how is he doing?" He placed his cup for a moment on his desk. He placed his white haired hands together as he was trying to project the vitality of this conversation from the very start.
Aizawa: "Well, the Recovery Girl expects him to be in shape in just a few days..." He made memories of the report of (Y/N)'s current condition that Recovery Girl made for all the teachers that had classes involved with him.
Nezu: "I'm happy to hear that..." He showed a truthful sign of relief, although it was not that obvious to the teacher.
Aizawa: "Was that everything you wanted to discuss, sir?" He asked a little taken back because of the pause that the conversation took. For a moment, he thought that he was only here to discuss something that has been informed to everyone.
Nezu: "Oh, no no. I wouldn't have called you if it wasn't of vital importance. There is something else, regarding your student, something a little bit more serious." His expression started to reflect his intentions, he wasn't relaxed. He knew that what he was doing in a certain way was bending the rules a little bit.
Aizawa: "What is it?" He asked with curiosity over the secrecy that he had detected on the principal until now.
Nezu: "I want you to watch something on the computer..." He motioned to the side where the computer was, making some space for Eraserhead to have access to what he was analyzing moments ago.
Aizawa: "The recordings of the USJ incident?" The video of one of the windows on the computer starts to play. And for Aizawa it was a rather familiar scene for him. Fighting the Villains and losing, although he doesn't recall much as he was unconscious, specifically at the moment (Y/N) got into the action.
Nezu: "Yeah, you see after (Y/N)'s display at the sports festival. His new ability intrigued me. Like everybody else, at first I thought that his power could only remain as a solid structure." He said in a matter of fact sort of tone, he tried to give the first impressions that he had regarding the power of the young black. "But as he showed us, that is clearly not the case.Such display needs a great control to a molecular level. So, I decided to research thoroughly. And I came up with something interesting about his battle against the League of Villains on the USJ, something I didn't pay enough attention to the first time. Look..." He pointed and paused the video in the exact instance where (Y/N) formed a dome around Kurogiri... "There!" He made a zoom, the window expanded until it was the only thing on the screen.
Aizawa: "He captured Kurogiri?" The feat of a student capturing a Villain was surprising, even more surprising that he dealt with three villains at the same time. But he emphasizes the encounter with the mist opponent. Yet I didn't quite get why...
Nezu: "Look carefully..." The strange mix of different animals, moves forward the recording until the end of the combat of the Nomu. When (Y/N) went unconscious, it was the moment that according to the cameras when Kurogiri appeared to get free from the dome.
Nezu: "It means..." He whispered to himself, grabbing his chin with his tiny hand.
Aizawa: "Sir, I don't intend to be rude, but can we skip all the mysteries..." He turned to the Principal kind of desperate. He was here under the impression that it was going to be an important yet fast meeting, considering that the classes were just minutes away from starting.
Nezu: "Kurogiri didn't escape until young (Y/N) couldn't continue." He faced Aizawa, with his finger pointing to the recording. "And as we know Kurogiri has a rare teleportation type of quirk, someone who in theory is impossible to capture." There was a document on the table that had the photo of the Mist Villain, and below that a description with all the retail details that could be inferred up until now. "I believe that you understand where I'm taking this by now, perhaps he didn't want to escape or ..."
Aizawa: "He couldn't..." He finally understood the reason as to why, as his mind was trying to build up the bigger picture about the situation as fast as he could. "So, you are saying..." He was interrupted by Nezu.
Nezu: "All that I'm saying is that (Y/N) has been in the dark for far too long..." Nezu inferred that (Y/N) didn't even understand his own nature, the true nature of his power, and he needed to wake up to what he could really do. "And as his teachers, we are responsible to enlighten him..." He finally made eye contact. "That's why I brought you here..." And if he doesn't understand it, he would not be able to bring out his true potential or fully understand himself.
Nezu passes a bunch of papers glued together by a graph. It seemed to have information about (Y/N) and a specific group of people that needed to be involved.
Aizawa: "A regimen..." The first pages had information about the different people that formed part of the plan. But under that there were different regimens that cover physical, mental, and knowledge training. "It takes place during the period of internships. Is part-taken by Midnight, Recovery Girl, you and me..." He was surprised, because all the students were going to be on internships in order to learn from the experience of a registered Pro-Hero, but never one that consisted of different expertise of different Pros at the same time. And even more to his favor, not one that the principal would be directly involved.
Nezu: "(Y/N) is going to need all the help possible to unlock his true potential. Please, I ask you to talk to him, bring him here after school so we can discuss it." He turned to look at the window of his office, looking at the horizon while having his paw behind his back. "After all, this regimen is going to push him to his limits in multiple aspects... And I don't plan to force it on him, in the end, it is going to be his choice..." He mentioned with kindness, he knew that they were modifying the protocol, but this was more important than both let on.
Class 1-A
Mina: "It's different when they broadcast the matches on TV after all, huh? So many people talked to me on my way here!" She was surprised that the sudden fame experienced just a few minutes on TV thanks to all the broadcasting during the sports festival.
Kirishima: "Yeah, me too!" Our loved red hair porcupine wanted to join the conversation.
Toru: "People were starting at me, too. It was kind of embarrassing!" She sighed in relief, sharing her own experience on the matter.
Ojiro: "Isn't that normal for you, Hagakure!" Although we can all agree that that is a rather rude comment, you cannot deny that he has a point.
Hanta: "I had some elementary schoolers suddenly tell me "Don't worry about it." From all the students that got far on the sports festival, Hanta was by far the most humiliated. Hoping that his embarrassment won't last very long.
Tsuyu: "Don't worry about it!" She repeated as she rested her head on her arms that were laying on her desk.
Kaminari: "After just one day, we've suddenly been thrust into the spotlight, huh?" Kaminari said with enthusiasm, they didn't expect to become such a known phenomenon soon in their careers as students.
Mineta: "U.A. really amazing, huh?" It was perfectly understandable the magnitude and influence that the best school of heros has on the public, to the point of turning their students nationally known.
Momo: "Good Morning, (Y/N)..." Momo with a hint of red, yet with a really sweet smile received our shadow user, who had finally arrived at the classroom.
(Y/N): "Sup!" He said with his characteristic smile, as he made his way through his partners to his desk.
Kaminari: "And your jacket, man?" As (Y/N) made his way through, the living pikachu was the first one to notice that their class president wasn't wearing his uniform's jacket.
Mineta: "No jacket with this weather, that's some guts..." He looked outside at the window, seeing the rain pouring in with great force, it needed just a little bit more force to become a thunderstorm.
(Y/N): "Let's...Not touch the subject..." He said awkwardly. His face showed to reflect one face of almost disgust as he remembered the rather peculiar moment he experienced with his fans during the ride on the train on the way here.
Aizawa: "Morning." He slowly made his presence known as he walked like a sloth through the door until making it to the podium in front of the class.
Everyone: "Good Morning!" All his students were in sync, as everyone stopped talking between each other and being seated in their respective places.
Tsuyu: "Ribbit? Mr. Aizawa, your bandages are gone. I'm glad." She asked out of curiosity with her characteristic finger at the end of her chin.
Aizawa: "The old lady went overboard with her treatment." He was inspecting his healing by scratching his pinkie just under his eyes. "More importantly, we're having a special hero informatics class today."
Everyone (Minds): "Here it is!" Everything seemed to get into pause, all the classroom was suddenly surrounded by an imaginary black penumbra that got into the hearts of everybody. Scared that their teacher might have prepared something brutal for them with being back just today.
Kaminari: "Special? Is it a quiz? I hope not..." Kaminari wasn't the most brilliant student in the classroom that was for sure, especially if he was tested out of the blue.
Kirishima: "I'm bad at laws relating to heroes and stuff like that..." Kirishima was also the most reliable when it came to technical theories.
Aizawa: "Code names." He made a pause, it was not out of making a dramatic stop, just Aizawa being Aizawa. "You'll be coming up with hero names..."
Everyone: "We're gonna do something exciting!" The preoccupation became a sudden moment of bliss, as their prayers were heard. About to commence an activity that is rather entertaining for a bunch of impressionable heroes in training like them.
Although, the excitement dies down with a mere glance from Mr. Aizawa as he activates his quirk, showing his rather frightening red eyes. It almost looked like Aizawa had finally tamed this pack of wild and problematic kids.
Aizawa: "This is related to the pro hero draft picks I mentioned the other day. The drafts begin in earnest in the second and third years, after students have gained experience and can become immediate assets to the pros. In other words, for them to extend offers to first years like you shows that they are interested in your future potential. These offers are often canceled if that interest dies down by graduation."
Mineta: "Adults are so selfish!" He hit his desk in disdain at Aizawa's explanation. It just showed how problematic and self-centered the dynamics of hero agencies can become.
Toru: "So we'll have to prove ourselves once we get picked, huh?" She raises her hand in order to participate with her contribution to the conversation.
Aizawa: "And here are the totals for those with offers. In other years, it's been more spread out, but all eyes were on these three this year." He took out a tiny remote that showed a diagram on the board, representing with bars the amount of applications that the hero agencies offered to the multiple contendants on the sports festival. Although the bigger bars were at the top with the names of (Y/N) in first place with basically 5K applications, Todoroki in second place, and finally Bakugou in third. The other students that got solitude were below them, with numbers that didn't reach the first three even combined.
Kaminari: "Gah, there's such a big difference!" He let his head fall backwards in frustration for basically having no application for him at all.
Aoyama: "Those pros don't know a good thing when they see one!" Aoyama as well as Mina although they made it into the tournament phase of the festival, their names didn't even appear on the diagram.
Mina: "I blame you, (Y/N). If you weren't so darn handsome, people wouldn't keep staring at you.." The pink girl pointed out to our protagonist, as she turned around in her chair, yelling at him for the most strange reason.
(Y/N): "You're just mad at me for being... handsome?" The boy turned to look at the pink girl rather angry for making an accusation towards his persona, but then it suddenly changed into a happy tone of confusion. He was being attacked and complemented at the same time. Tsuyu, who was in the middle of the conversation, turned to look at both of them as she had a smile, rolling her eyes at the immaturity of her classmates.
Jirou: "(Y/N)'s first, Todoroki's second, and Bakugou's third...?" She asked with doubt, it would be normal to expect that the amount of solicitations would be in a direct relation with the placement of the tournament, but this didn't seem to be the case.
Kirishima: "It's a little different from their placement in the sports festival." Kirishima was the voice of the whole group, seeing in surprise the variations between the facts.
Momo, who was the one still tormented by her failure at the sports festival, surprised her that even when she was disqualified she received some requests. And when she turned to look at her right side, she decided that a complement for her classmate was in order.
Momo: "You're amazing, Todoroki..." She said with kindness and a hint of admiration, due to the fact that she felt a little bit unworthy in comparison to the first places that did everything better than her in her eyes.
Todoroki: "They're probably all because of my dad!" He said almost coldly, mentioning his father always got his mood down.
Momo contrary to one would expect, she was not offended, more like she couldn't. Because when she turned a little bit, her vision to the side, she couldn't stop herself to see her Class President. (Y/N) was inspecting the requests that he got, there was a tint of happiness on his face, he didn't expect for all those pros being interested in him. She signed longingly, resting her head on her hand, seeing the young black like that, plastered a smile on her face. Taking her time to stare at him.
Ochako: "Wow, we got offers!" Uraraka was shaking violently Iida back and forth by his shoulders. Cheeks for Weeks was so fired up by being requested by heros that she was spilling a few tears of happiness.
Iida: "Yes, yes." Iida remained calm and just responded, he was getting used to the particular behaviors of his best friends.
Mineta: "Midoriya, you didn't get any! They're scared of you 'cause of the crazy way you were fighting." The grape did the same as Ochako, just not as hard as Midoriya.
Izuku: "Yeah..." He remained calm, although there was a certain hint of embarrassment as he remembered everything that he did during the fight against his classmate, Todoroki.
Aizawa: "Keeping these results in mind, whether or not anyone asked for you, you will all be participating in internships with pros." He continued with his explanation.
Izuku: "Internships?" That seemed to call the attention of a lot of their classmates.
Aizawa: "At USJ, you already got to experience combat with real villains, but it will be meaningful training for you to see pros at work firsthand."
Sato: "So that explains the hero names!" He finally understood that this activity to choose hero names was in order for them to initiate their trials under the wings of pro-heros.
Ochako: "Things are suddenly getting a lot more fun!" By most she was the happiest on this scene, after her fight with Bakugou and the encouragement of her parents, she had a new light to tell her about her dream.
Aizawa: "Well, those hero names are still temporary, but if you are not serious about it..." The explanation of Eraserhead was cut short as all the attention of the class was diverted to the door that just opened.
Midnight: "...you'll have hell to pay later!" The 18 only hero, Midnight made her presence known as she was walking with her hands behind her head, a pose that only emphasized her rather impressives attributes. As a great part of the males in the class started to go crazy at the sole act of her presence. "Because a lot of hero names used by students become recognized by society, and they end up becoming professional hero names!" She made her way to the front of the class next to Aizawa's little podium.
Everyone: "Midnight!"
Aizawa: "Well, that's how it is. So Midnight will be making sure your names are okay. I can't do stuff like that." He declared as he grabbed his characteristic yellow sleeping bag. "When you give yourself a name, you get a more concrete image of what you want to be like in the future, and you can get closer to it. This is what it means when they say "Names and natures do often agree." Like "All Might'', for example." He got K.O. As he sat down on the floor and made his way into the world of dreams.
Everyone started to pass the miniature boards to the other classmates that didn't so they started planning their ideas.
Midnight: "Okay, let's start presenting names starting with those who are ready." She pointed for anyone who was willing to take the podium. Although everyone else was kind of nervous, they didn't want to be the point of attention if their names weren't to the tastes of the others.
Nonetheless, Aoyama made his way to the podium, taking his time and being careful not to present his board before time. He made a tiny pause as he started raising his board slowly to build up some suspense.
Aoyama: "Here I go!" He had his eyes closed, he was the vivid representation of Drama Queen, but it was not rare for him, he was always eccentric. " Shining Hero: 'I can not stop twinkling! Which means, you can't stop my sparkles!"
Everyone: "It's a sentence!" No one seemed really excited to have such a large name as their code name, let alone put a whole sentence there.
Midnight: "It'll be easier to use if you take out the "I" and shorten the "can not" to "can't"." She instructed while fixing with a black marker all the suggestions. Leaving the words ''Can't stop twinkling."
Aoyama: "You're right, mademoiselle." He agreed on the modifications, because the vital point of it remains intact.
Everyone: "It's okay?!"
Sato: "Anyway, choose one: English or French!" Sato couldn't keep up with the sudden exchange of language with Aoyama. Although, this humble author didn't recognize any sort of French here.
Mina: "Then, I'll go next!" She made her way to the podium, she excitedly laid her board on the desk in order to present it. "Hero name, "Alien Queen"!" She was taking her appearance as inspiration to her name, considering that the girl consisted of a pretty lively color pink and horns on her head. Mina had a lot of potential when it came to creating names.
Midnight: "Two! Are you trying for the thing with acidic blood? I wouldn't if I were you!" It was a tough crowd. Midnight thought of the old movies of aliens and didn't consider it as an appropriate name for a hero name. Great movies by the way. Although, that this author personally thinks that it the best name for her, but that is just my opinion.
Mina: "Dang it!" She went to her desk to sit down feeling like a wuss. In order to rethink her hero name.
(Y/N): "Hey, it was a good name in my opinion..." It was definitely a stylish name, short and to the point. Besides that if people relate it to the old movies of aliens, the acidic blood would make a good reference to her powers. He put a hand on the shoulder of her partner, in an attempt to comfort her.
Mina: "I am not valued in my time..." She said in a gloomy mood as she started to rewrite on the board.
As the atmosphere became more dense, all the students were starting to freak out, they didn't want to become the new mistake that was going to be exposed in front of all their peers. All those minds became one as they were praying to Buddha, Ala, or Christ, whoever responded, that they needed someone that dispersed this sensation.
And just as if one of the deities relent on these poor souls, and one hand was raised. No other than the Green Frog girl that everyone knew and loved.
Tsuyu: "Ribbit! Then, may I go next?" She wanted to break the tension that was built on the class. The name she had prepared was something that went way back to her middle school years.
Midnight: "Go ahead, Tsu!" She allowed the petition.
Tsuyu: "I've had this mind ever since I was in elementary school. "Rainy Season Hero: Froppy". It was clear that Tsuyu was going to bring the normal parameters of the class back to its common grounds.
Midnight: "That's so cute! It seems friendly. I like it! It's a great example of a name that everyone will love!"
Everyone: "Floppy!Floppy!Droopy!Droopy!" For a few minutes, Tsuyu became the frog princess of the class, as she dusted the negative atmosphere with her originality.
Kirishima: "Then, I'll go too! Sturdy Hero: Red Riot"! He said with pride, it was a name that personificated him well. Simple with significance and to the point.
Midnight: "Red Riot?!" She begged the question. "You're paying homage to the chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot, right?" A hero who has a sort of hardening type of quirk that has certains similarities with Kirishima's.
Kirishima: "Yes. It's pretty old-fashioned, but the hero image I'm going for is Crimson himself." She made reference to an old fashioned hero that was known for being a recluse at the moment of participating on the missions. A fearless example of what a hero should be willing to sacrifice.
Midnight: "If you're bearing a name you admire, it'll come with that much more pressure..." Midnight warned him of the weight he was putting on his shoulder, but she was enamored of the chivalrous spirit that manifested on the young hero.
Kirishima: "I'm prepared for that!" He was more than willing to take the responsibility of carrying such a name. It wasn't something able to stop him.
Kaminari: "Man, I haven't thought of a name yet! He was frustrated, even though that codenames were one of the flashiest parts of being a hero, he hadn't given it that much thought.
Jirou: "Why don't I give you one? How about "Jamming-yay"?" The purple head called his attention, perhaps this could give him some inspiration.
Kaminari: "It's like Hemingway, who wrote "A Farewell to Arms! Sounds smart!" One of the first times we see Kaminari use his brain to analyze the meaning behind it.
Jirou: "No... It's because even though you're strong...you always end up like that." She made fun of him for how his brain goes into a short circuit if he overdoes it.
Kaminari: "Hey, Jiro! Stop messing with me!" He was not amused.
Jirou: "Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack". After laughing at his classmate, she presented her name, particularly because she was the only one of her class to use the name of her quirk like her hero name.
Midnight: "That's good! Next!" The rhythm for names was escalating rather smoothly.
Shoji: "Tentacle Hero: Tentacole." One of his tentacles spoke for him as usual.
Midnight: "It's like a tentacle with some octopus thrown in!"
Hanta: "Taping Hero: Cellophane"
Midnight: "Nice and simple! That's important!" She gave him a thumbs up.
Ojiro: "Martial Arts Hero: Talisman". Ojiro flexed his tail as if it was an arm, and it just showed how muscular his tail really is.
Midnight: "Your name reflects your body!" It was a simple concept, but in the end when it comes to names it is rather to stay with basic concepts instead of something complex.
Sato: "Sweet Hero: Sugarman!" This was no brainer, he was a man and his strength was on the consumption of sugar and nuts.
Midnight: "So sweet!"
Mina: "Pinky!" Ashido gave it another try, this time she must have followed the example of some of her classmates for this one.
Midnight: "Peachy pink complexion!" She celebrated, that name made her look work for her.
Kaminari: "Stun Hun Hero: Charbolt", combining "Charge" with "Lighting Bolt"! Kaminari finally decided on one, and unlike his classmates, there was a rather good explanation as to why he chose that name.
Midnight: "Oh, I feel tingly!" She made a pun about the situation.
Toru: "Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl!" There were not many options of good names for heros with invisibility powers.
Midnight: "That's great!" She exclaimed, the names were getting better and better each time. "Come on, let's keep right on going!"
Momo: "I hope I will not bring shame to this name. "Everything Hero: Creati." It was a rather skillful way of game word.
Midnight: "Creative."
Shoto: "Shoto." It was up to the kind of cold classmate to not give even a tiny damn about his name. Usually, many heroes in training would be going crazy about something cool that they would like, but Todoroki as always is a rather simple creature.
Midnight: "Your name? Is that okay?" She wanted to make sure that that was his final answer, after all those names in most cases could end up being permanent. There is no room for errors.
Shoto: "Yeah..." He didn't give a damn.
Mineta: "Fresh-Picked Hero: Grape Juice!" The purple little man only showed the board over the podium, he was not tall enough to reach it himself.
Midnight: "Pop and Kitschy!"
Koda: "Petting Hero: Anima '' He didn't say a word, the poor guy was shy, and put in the spotlight like this was not really his scenario.
Midnight: "Okay, got it!" She didn't want to push Koda, it was a miracle that he got the initiative to do it himself.
Bakugou: "King Explosion Murder." The blond pomeranian
Midnight: "You probably shouldn't use something like that."
Bakugou: "Why not?!" He let out a scream of frustration, not even caring that it was a Pro-Hero or his Teacher who he was talking to.
Kirishima: "You should be "Explosion Boy"! Kirishima got the ball rolling with the mockering to Katsuki. As everyone started laughing about his poor imagination to come up with something good.
Bakugou: "Shut up, Weird Hair!"
(Y/N): "What about Infernum!" Our protagonist tried to contain his laughter and offer a name for the angry pomeranian himself.
Hanta: "That's actually a good one!"
(Y/N): "Yeah, its an Inferno to deal with him!'' When he finished the last part of his joke, everyone started to laugh even harder than before, as (Y/N) had an evil smile plastered on his face. Satisfied with his work.
Bakugou: "You want to go at it again, Darkrai!" Bakugou was almost at the top of the podium, ready to attack, until Midnight got into action and returned him to his seat.
Uraraka: "Okay, my turn..." Insecure of what she came up with, she raised to the podium to put on display her board. "This is what I thought of: "Uravity." Until now, that was the most stylish name that has been offered at the moment. A good name combination between her and her power.
Midnight: "Sounds Stylish!"
Midnight: "Choosing hero names is going more smoothly than I thought it would! All that's left is Bakugou, who needs to rethink his and Iida. And Midoriya, right? She located those that were still looking down at their boards. Until she remembers that her favorite student hasn't passed as well. "Oh, (Y/N), why don't you come here and show us what you got!"
(Y/N): "Well, here goes nothing..."(Y/N) got up from his seat, he got to the podium "The Night Hero: Nyx"
Midnight: "Ohhh, Titan of the Night!" She got close to our protagonist, depositing her hand on his shoulder.
(Y/N): "Well, this is kind of embarrassing, I decided on this name since I was a kid..." He said with a smile, as he got the hand of Midnight off his shoulder slowly by just grabbing on her fingers.
Mina, who was seeing everyone's reaction, took a second turn to look at her other classmates until she stopped in the green maiden seated a seat away from her. The frog girl had her eyes closed with a smile while she lay her head on her hands.
Mina: "Hey, what's that smile for, Tsuyu?" She asked out of curiosity to the frog girl, who had a big smile just for watching (Y/N) giving his hero name.
Tsuyu: "Oh, nothing important, it's just good to see him smile..." Tsuyu was reflecting, because for most of the Sports Festival, he was either really hurt, tired, or under a lot of pressure. It made good for her heart to see (Y/N) finally relaxing.
Meanwhile on the other side of the room...
Mineta: "Midoriya, are you okay?" The grape juice asked the broccoli boy as he saw that he was entering in one of his crying episodes. Eyes watering and some rather strong inhales of air.
Izuku: "He is using the name I chose..." He said with a comic smile, his eyes were glassy eyes with a few tears going down his cheeks.
Iida was at the other side of the room, he was having his own internal battle.Because he wanted to maintain the legacy of Ingenium alive, in a petition from his own brother. Both Iida and his brother understood that he was not going to recuperate, that his days as a hero were over. But Iida wasn't sure that he was ready or that he deserved to carry such a role, at least not yet.
So he erased the name ingenium from his board. And when it was finally his turn, Iida, just as Todoroki, had put his name as his option for hero name.
Midnight: "You're using your first name, too?" She was weirded out that not just one but actually two students decided to go for their actual names as their codenames. One was rare but two on the same day, it was unexpected.
Midnight: "Midoriya, are you ready?" Midnight call the attention of the green hero in training. He was one of the last ones to choose his hero name.
Izuku: "Y-yes!" He proudly put his board on the podium, and what was written on, gave us some surprised faces among the crowd.
Everyone: "Midoriya?" Every single one of his classmates were thinking the same thing. The name was far from what they thought it as an adequate codename, giving the context of the word itself.
Kaminari: "Are you really okay with that?"
Kirishima: "You might be called that forever, you know."
Izuku: "Yeah. I didn't like this name until now. But someone changed the meaning of it. It made me really happy... This is my hero name!" The name that he had choose, was no other than "Deku."
Uraraka was smiling for him, because she was that person that had changed the meaning of the insult into something that would give him hope. Meanwhile, (Y/N) on his seat had a deadpan expression on his face...
(Y/N): *Whisper* Oh, thanks (Y/N) for supporting me all these years..." He was mocking the situation, he was kind of angry that his best friend had rather given credit to a pretty face than him. "Hey, no problem, Deku" As he slid down on his chair, awkwardly upset, he kept mumbling his complaints. As the class continued.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cementoss: "Oh? Offers for the first years are still coming. There's one more." The hero made out of street rock was going over all the paperwork that comes after the sports festival.
All Might: "Who is it for?" Our blond mentor looked over his shoulder, he was interested in those applications, especially if it came from someone he knew.
Cementos: "Midoriya."
All Might: "Really? Who is it...?" As he read through the offer, the person that made it, made a flash from the past, although more like a terror from the past. "This person is..." Whoever this person was, he must be a real monster if it could make the number one hero tremble.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bakugou: "Lord Explosion Murder!" Bakugou could be a smart element on the classroom and the battlefield. But this topic was not really his forte.
Midnight: "No, that's still no good." The poor Midnight felt that this kid was just hearing her suggestions but actually listening to none.
Aizawa: "Now that everyone's decided on their hero names, we{ll go back to talking about the internships. They will last for a week. As for where you'll have them, those who had offers from pros will be given your own lists, so you can choose from those yourself. Those who didn't have offers will choose from among forty agencies around the country that will be accepting our interns. They all work in different places and have different specialties." He was finally out of his sleeping bag and going back to his Homeroom Teacher usual mode. In front of the podium he got the message across the importance of the internships so they should be careful where they want to go.
Midnight: "For example, Thirteen would be focused on rescues from accidents and disasters more than fighting villains." Midnight elaborated further on Aizawa's explanation to give the kids an example of the logic behind all this.
Aizawa: "Think carefully before you choose." Aizawa was getting out of the classroom to leave the kids with their thoughts, Midnight was waving goodbye to everyone with a happy smile. Except for (Y/N) in particular sending a wink, that the boy in question catched before his cheeks turned to a rather pink color.
Everyone: "Yes, sir." Finally, the teachers were out. And now the tiny hormonal savages could have their moment pressuming and sharing some perspective about the subject.
Kirishima: "I want to fight crime in urban areas!"
Tsuyu: "I hope I can intern at a place with floods. I wonder if there are any?" She wanted to be near water, where she could be the most helpful.
Aizawa: "Turn in your choices before the weekend." It was rather cruel to leave the students with such an important decision with the minimal sort of guidance to make such a leverage decision for their future.
Everyone: "We've only got two days?!"
Aizawa: "Make your decision efficiently. Dismissed." He said getting his head once again through the door to give a friendly reminder that such an important decision needed to be made in a rather short window of time.
Mina: "Hey, guys, have you decided what pro agency you're going to yet?"She was laying down with her head on the desk. It was clear that Pinky was sure that she wasn't sure of anything right now.
Mineta: "I'm going to Mt. Lady!" Mineta had a decision on his voice. He was rather quick with his decision, although the motives were abundantly clear for those who actually know him.
Tsuyu: "Mineta, you're thinking about something perverted, aren't you?" Tsuyu responded almost immediately, the grape juice lies were nothing special.
Mineta: "Of course not..." Who do you think you are fooling, Mineta?
Ojiro: "Ashido, you made it pretty far in the tournament, too. It's weird that you didn't get any offers."
Mina: "You said it." The girl was down knowing that even though she had all the chances to get scouted, her appearance, her power, and the fact that she reached the individual matches on the sports festival. It was something really depressing.
Ochako: "Deku, have you decided already?" The mochi cheeks asked the Broccoli boy that was currently battling his inner thoughts, you know, nothing out of the ordinary.
Izuku: "There are only forty heroes who'll take us, so after looking up their specialties and splitting them into groups..." His mutter continues as his partners watch him go once again. (Y/N) was already at his back ready to smack him on the back of the head. "Oh, sorry! I was lost in thought..." The Broccoli boy didn't need the smack, he woke up this time all by himself. His time on the anxiety ville was getting shorter and shorter. (Y/N) who was almost ready to bring him back into his senses aborted the mission.
Tsuyu: "You're really thinking carefully about this, huh?" Tsuyu asked the obvious, after all, it was Izuku we are talking about.
Ochako: "Actually, I've already decided!" Cheeks for weeks said with determination in her voice. As all the commotion started to bring the attention of a bunch of their classmates, making a circle around Izuku's desk.
Ojiro: "Where?" Ojiro asked as he had his tail around his neck like a scarf.
Ochako: "Battle Hero: Gunhead 's agency."
Izuku: "Huh? Gunhead's a huge battle type! You're going there, Uraraka?" Izuku was taken back, someone with her power and personality was someone with great potential for an agency specialized on disasters and damage control.
Ochako: "Yup! I got an offer from them!" Proudly making her statement.
Izuku: "Really? I totally thought you were trying to be a hero like Mr. Thirteen." He pointed out the elephant in the room.
Ochako: "Ultimately, yes. But fighting at the sports festival made me think. The stronger I get, the more possibilities I'll have! If I only do what I want, I'll have a narrower perspective!"
Izuku: "I see."
(Y/N): "When I imagine a battle ready Uraraka, the only thing that comes to mind is this..." (Y/N) started to speak his mind, trying to contain his laughter. Taking out his smartphone, and searching for a picture in particular. Once he found it, he showed it to the rest of the class. All the present except for Uraraka, who was embarrassed, started laughing.
Ochako: "(Y/N)!" She screamed with red on her cheeks, as he playfully started hitting out at the protagonist.
(Y/N): "Oh, you know I'm only kidding, I couldn't resist..." He was cleaning a tear that was going down his face with the laugh attack he just got.
Ochako: "Whatever..." She said forgetting the subject. "More importantly, this has been bothering me for a while, but... You're trembling, aren't you?" She directed her attention to Izuku, who had by now been trembling from the start of the conversation.
Izuku: "Oh, this? It's the air chair exercise."
Everyone: "Air chair?!" All of them asked surprise, he could be doing this workout before they even realize it.
Ochako: "Don't tell me you do that all through class?"
Mina: "There's no way!"
(Y/N): "Yeah, he wanted to keep training at all moments so I suggested this exercise." He said happily, while inspecting the efficiency of Izuku's exercise. Then he took out a ruler and smacked him in one of his hands. "Hey, no cheating, you are touching the chair!"
The broccoli boy took a cartoonish tear of his eyes as he fixed his position, so his body wasn't in contact with the chair.
Mineta: "That's such an old-fashioned exercise."
Ojiro: "What are you saying?! The isometric muscle contraction of the air chair means it's an easy way to train without moving!" The martial arts future hero explained and with reason.
Bakugou: "Shut up..." The Blond Pomeranian's blood pressure rose, having to deal with all the noises that their classmates were causing.
Shoji: "He who follows two hares catches neither." Shoji said out of character, although it felt more like a reflection because it was not clear to who he was talking to.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ochako: "Deku, let 's go home together."
Izuku: "Okay."
Ochako: "Iida, you too... Huh?"
Izuku: "He probably decided on where he wants to do his internship and went to turn it into the staff room."
All Might: "I am here! In a bizarre position!"
Izuku: "Wh-What's the matter? Why are you in such a hurry!"
All Might: "Come with me for a moment."
Izuku: "R-Right!"
Uraraka and (Y/N) were about to leave, as their best friend was just abducted by All Might. The duo turned to look at each other, and they just raised their shoulders, as they had no idea what this was all about. They resume their way to the station, but seconds after just passing through the door frame, being stopped once again. This time by their homeroom teacher.
Aizawa: "(Y/N) could I talk to you real quick?" He made his presence known to the two teenagers.
(Y/N): "What for?" He was surprised that Aizawa waited after the class was over to talk to him. It was not the usual occurrence.
Aizawa: "It's about your internship and a possible proposal."
(Y/N): "Alright..." He turned to Uraraka. "Sorry, Ochako. You will have to headout without me..." Aizawa was not someone that would lose his time to something unnecessary, so for the moment his attention was all his.
Ochako: "Yeah, no problem..." She was a little bit down that everyone was leaving to do their own thing. First Iida, then Deku and now, (Y/N). "*Whispers* Uraraka, a party for one today I suppose..." She whispered as she started walking to the station looking rather gloomy, all her friends were doing something without her.
Aizawa: "I know that I just gave the offers of the internships, but do you have any idea as to where you want to go?" Aizawa started the conversation, both the student and teacher duo were walking side by side in the corridors of the institution.
(Y/N): "I don't for the moment, I only got the chance to read a few. Literally I have thousands of offers..." The question defeated him, internships were not something that would be happening so soon in their first year. And although, (Y/N) was someone that preferred having a contingency plan, there were some aspects that he didn't give much thought to. This is one of them.
Aizawa: "Is there any aspect in particular that you want to get experience on..." He tried to maintain the conversation, pushing the topic, (Y/N) to his eyes, as someone that could do good in any sort of field he wanted to develop.
(Y/N): "Well, this is always hard for me, there's infinite possibilities. From disasters to urban fights and such..." Sometimes having too many options becomes rather more a burden than a help, because their spectrum to commit a mistake becomes even greater.
Aizawa: "Maybe somewhere you get the most out of your quirk..."
(Y/N): "Well, I don't know how well that can turn out, because even after all these years, I am still testing the limitations of my quirk..." He said with a sweat drop falling from the side of his face, it was embarrassing for him. Something that he didn't like to admit, but in comparison to some of his classmates, he had not a full idea behind the behavior of his talent.
Aizawa: "I'm actually happy that you mention that, cause that's part of the reason that I wanted to talk to you..." He finally came to a stop and started talking to him straight to the face. He needed to do what was asked of him.
(Y/N): "What is it about?"
Aizawa: "The Principal and I had a conversation about helping you harness your abilities. Your display at the Sports Festival was something that he gave a lot of thought to. That's why he sent me to talk to you, for you to meet him at his office and go over the details. what do you say?"
(Y/N): "Sounds interesting, coming from Principal Nezu." Nezu was a rather busy person...Mouse, bear, or whatever he is. So, it's a rare occurrence for him to ask for him in particular.
Aizawa: "Great. Then let's go. We will meet up with him, we will go over the details, and then you can make your decision..." He said as they both got into the elevator next to one of the stairs.
(Y/N): "That's fair." It was the right response, after all Aizawa was instructed not to pressure him into it. It has to be the boy's decision.
The doors of the elevator started closing. Aizawa and I were (Y/N) side by side on the elevator. And elevators have this strange force that always makes everyone in it go silent. And is not a normal sort of peaceful silence, more like awkward and uncomfortable silence. Probably is the feeling of knowing that you have to be close to someone else in a rather close space or something along those lines. And the only thing that you can do when you cross gazes with the other person, the automatic response is to put up a rather crooked smile that only screams awkwardness.
And that was the pressure these poor souls were experiencing, it's hard for them to continue the conversation for a strange reason. Even though they started talking before getting in, the result was the same. And after many seconds that seemed to be eternals, the elevator finally stopped and the satisfactory bell finally rang, like the bell of a Boxing Match when you are about to kick the bucket.
(Y/N): "FINALLY!... I mean, here we are." He was the first one to express his euphoria after leaving the uneasiness of the elevator.
The door to the Principal Office was a passage away from the elevator. They knocked on the door, until Nezu made a noise for us to come in.
Nezu: "Ah, Mr. (Y/N). I'm pleased that you could join us." The little rat bear was sitting behind his desk taking tea in a white cup. But there was also the very backbone of the U.A. Recovery Girl standing just at the side of the office taking one of the seats that was at the front of the desk.
The Middle Age Heroine just looked at the two individuals getting in, and smiled kindly to our young hero in training.
(Y/N): "Principal Nezu, Recovery Girl..." (Y/N) recognized with respect to his mentors and made a bow to express his good manners. "Let's hear that proposal. Mr. Aizawa said that you had a plan, one that would help me harness my abilities..." He sitted on the chair kind of excited, because he was going to receive something that would help him become stronger from the very mastermind of U.A.
That would have been helpful a few chapters ago...
Nezu: "Ah, straight to the point. I like that. But before I get to explain the proposal, there are a few questions that I would like to go over with you..." He got up from his seat and walked to the side of the desk to sit on it at the front of the three individuals. His legs were dangling on the edge. As he inclines to the front with his hands together. Putting his two index fingers in front of his nose, thinking over everything that needed to be discussed.
(Y/N): "Sure, what are they?" He crossed his arms, his smile had a clever sight to it.
Nezu: "In your short time here, you gave us plenty of evidence in how versatile and powerful your quirk is. But after I went through your quirk's description, I must say that the explanation is rather vague..." Nezu grabbed some of the papers at the table, the record of (Y/N) entrance information. Where all his characteristics were being displayed from simple things like his previous school to the mechanics of his quirk. And it was this last one that the Principal was referring to.
(Y/N): "Power to control darkness and shadows' my creativity was the victim in that moment. But considering what I got until now, it is the best I could come up with..." He passed his hand through his hair with his hand, the boy was embarrassed that that was the best thing that his mind could think of.
Nezu: "Are you implying that you don't understand your own quirk?" This was out of curiosity more than a mocking matter.
(Y/N): "It's both yes and a no. I know the limitations of how long I can use it, how much I can do with it, my strengths and weaknesses. But..." The explanation was cut short by the interference of Nezu.
Nezu: "The actual behavior of the matter itself, not so much..." He finished the thought of the boy. In order to demonstrate that he was understanding what he meant with all this.
(Y/N): "That would be a good sum up, yeah." He moved on his seat to be leaning forward, as he got a much more serious look. "Although I have run some theories and experiments of my own,all of them were failures. The matter's behavior that I control is something a little bit more complex for a simple student to discover, I don't have the materials nor the equipment to do it..." As you would expect from (Y/N) this subject was something that was already on his mind, but his lack of resources was what truly held him back.
Nezu: "Well, it's exactly I wanted you to come. As you may know, there are many people that are born with quirks, and it's a common occurrence to discover that those powers' functionality differs from their first thoughts." He said as a matter of fact.
(Y/N): "I've been stuck with that problem for quite a while, and it's frustrating cause I got this gut feeling that I'm just missing a tiny piece to solve all this, one piece of information that could solve everything..." He started to liberate his thoughts about the situation, something frustrating, he had the capacity to understand. But it was just a tiny part of information that was holding him down.
Nezu: "I'm happy that we are on the same channel, after all, here in the U.A. We believe that in order to raise students into splendid heros of tomorrow, the understanding of one's nature is vital. And that is part of my proposal..."
"I would cut to the chase, I believe that in order to not only bring your doubts to rest, as well as bring you up to speed. We should do a regimen, one that would differ from your classmates, one that would bring even better results. Although, the pressure that we are going to put you through would be just as rigorous."
Nezu no longer had his genuine smile, it was like he was touching the most important topic in the whole world.
(Y/N): "What did you have in mind?"
Nezu: "A special training, one that would consist not only of the guidance of one teacher alone, but multiple mentors in fact. Each mentor is to help you in a different aspect, each important to your development..." He took some of the papers that contained the regimen that he had planned. Those same papers were handed to Recovery, Aizawa, and (Y/N).
(Y/N): "How many exactly?" One teacher was normal, even two could be passed. But if you're talking about more than that, then this regimen was going to be no joke. Especially, if you are talking about a hero school.
Nezu: "In this particular case, four of them. And three of them are already here..." He showed the integrant by raising the fingers of his fluffy paws with the red cushions of skin where the fingerprints are supposed to be.
(Y/N): "You three?" He turned to the other 2 adults that were in the office, those who until now had remained silent.
Nezu: "Yes, each of us is going to assist you in a particular aspect of your development. Mr. Aizawa would assist you on your combat efficiency, while Recovery Girl would help you on medical training and casualties. Then you would be spending your time with me to understand your quirk. And the fourth teacher is going to take you in, during this period of internships for you to experience everything that you may encounter as a hero..." He turned for a second to the regimen in his hand as he turned a few pages that he started to read.
(Y/N): "And who is this fourth teacher?" If there were 3 of the teachers already here, who was going to be the last to complete the game plan.
Midnight: "THAT WOULD BE ME!" The door opened violently, presenting to us the +18 only Hero: Midnight. In her classical dominatrix attire with whip in hand. She was happy to be here, being part of this little project. (Y/N) was her favorite student, that was something that couldn't be missed.
(Y/N)'s eyes went wide, his mouth almost hit the floor out of the shock. Memories from Vietnam burst inside his mind. Overflowing him with all the attempts Midnight tried to assault him.
Nezu: "Ah, yes. Midnight volunteered to be part of this plan when she heard of it..." He said as head no ability to read the atmosphere or the face of our protagonist, completely numb to the awkwardness and the pleading look of help that (Y/N) had on his face right now.
(Y/N): "IS IT YOU WANT ME TO BE PROFANED?!" He screamed as he took Nezu from the shirt of his tiny tuxedo.
Nezu: "Don't worry, I can assure you that Midnight will behave. Isn't that right, Midnight?" The smile on Nezu didn't leave his face, he was above all this and only tried to explain that the Heroine had promised that she would behave as long as (Y/N) was under her care.
Midnight: "But, Of course. Principal..." Before (Y/N) would formulate an answer or tried to negate the subject, Midnight grabbed his shoulder gently but with a rather strange pressure that sent chills down his spine. (Y/N) only turned around to look at Midnight, who had a rather disturbing smile while there was a dark aura of malice emanating from her.
The poor boy returned his face to the front, before he gulped. There was something at risk here. His privilege to ever get married in white.
(Y/N): "Arg, nevermind. Moving on, I hope that you are not expecting me to do all this in just one week..." He tried to deal with the situation and get the ball rolling. Not before he took the hand of Midnight from his shoulder only by grabbing her index finger carefully.
Nezu: "Oh, goodness, no. That would be absurd, where are we? In a fanfic?!"
After that comment, all the ones present, turned their vision to the wall that was at their side. Having their gazes static, as if they were watching someone that was present on the occurrence of their daily lives.
Aizawa: "Why are we looking at the wall?" He was the first one to break the ice of their current behavior although that his vision didn't leave the wall at any moment.
Nezu: "I don't know, but it felt right..." Finally everyone returned to their conversation, as if what just happened never did. "Anyway, this training, aside from the internship, would be held indefinitely, until we reach a much clearer conclusion..."
(Y/N): "Hmn..." He put his finger on his lips, thinking carefully about the subject, reflecting if he was willing to put an even greater burden on himself.
Nezu: "I will tell you straight, you are the best of the best. As your classmates you hold unmeasurable talent, and I don't want to waste even a second of that talent. But in the end, is it your choice?" Nezu was back on the chair behind his desk. His elbow resting on his table, while he put together his paw in front of his face while he expressed how much hope he had deposited not only in the plan itself, but (Y/N) as well.
(Y/N): "Hmn, alright. I would be under your care." After a few seconds, he clenched his hands at the top of his legs. He was thinking hard on all the options that he had. But this was a golden opportunity served on a silver platter. Something he could pass up on.
Nezu: "Excellent. Your mentors and I would be going over the details and we will initiate as soon as possible. You are dismissed, (Y/N)." He finally let the student go, as he needed to talk seriously with the other members of the regimen.
(Y/N): "Yes, sir." Before he went out the door the first thing that he did was to bow in front of his teacher, both out of respect and appreciation.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple of days after the internships became present in the lives of our young heroes. Those young souls were ready to take on the challenge and drink from the cup of knowledge, a cup that is shared from those who had come before them and had tasted its wisdom.
All the 20 members of the class were ready and present with their costumes on their cases. Enthusiastic in what the future has in store for them.
Aizawa: "You all have your costumes, right?... Remember, you aren't allowed to wear them in public. Don't drop them or anything."
(Y/N) was right beside him, looking stoic although raising that smile. Unlike his fellow classmates, his internship didn't have the need to move somewhere else.
Mina: "Yessir!" She was the only one that responded, she was excited for this trip. Sadly, her speaking was a little inadequate, at least in front of someone that wanted for them to be in their best behavior.
Aizawa: "Speak clearly! It's "Yes, sir", Ashido." He was really hard on his students, but it only shows how much hope he has on them.
Mina: "Yes, sir!" She responded by fixing her words, but her emotion took a gloomy turn.
Aizawa: "Make sure you mind your manners with the heroes at your internship! Off you go!" Those were the final words, after that, each student will be on their own, only with the company of his teachings.
Everyone: "Yessir!" And swiftly like the wind and leaves each student went to their designated locations. Some trains taken paths to south, other to north and vice versa.
Aizawa and (Y/N) were the only ones that remained in their place. (Y/N) placed one of his hands on his pockets. And just like a fresh bucket of water on his face, he remembered something that he wanted to do. A pendant, a gift to appreciate his friend, for that persona that has been like a little angel on his shoulder. Trying to maintain his mind on the right setting, along with the help to conquer his fears.
(Y/N): "Mr. Aizawa, I forgot to do something, I'll be back in a few minutes..." (Y/N) said in a hurry, as he started to walk backwards talking to his teacher. Aizawa only nodded calmly with no problem whatsoever.
Aizawa: "Just don't take too long, I would like to start the training as soon as possible." He gave a little smile, one of encouragement. (Y/N) didn't really stop, so he was on his way.
He made it fast through the people that were abandoning or passing around looking for their transport, until he finally distinguished a green head in the crowd. Tsuyu was a few feet away from boarding the train for her internship. But she decided not to, when she saw (Y/N) rapidly approaching her.
Tsuyu: "(Y/N), what 's wrong? Kero..."
(Y/N): "I'm sorry, I almost forgot to give you something important..." He took a pause to regain his breath for a moment.
Tsuyu: "Something important? What is it?" She was a little surprised to see (Y/N) so excited. She tilted her head to the side, as she put her index finger near her mouth as she usually does.
(Y/N): "I wanted to give you this..." He took something from the pocket on his jacket, a pretty necklace of silver that had two frogs posing on a leaf with a tiny emerald on the tip of the leaf. He smiled sweetly, handing her the necklace.
Tsuyu: "Oh, (Y/N)..." Tsuyu was surprised, but that expression didn't stay forever as it turned into a tiny smile. Passing her finger through the metal and the beautiful stone. "It's lovely...But why?" She questioned the motive for something so precious or expensive.
(Y/N): "I felt that I needed to give you something, for helping me... for everything" He looked her right in the eyes, it was important for him to return the favor of everything she had done for him.
Tsuyu: "You didn't have to..." Her eyes moved from the necklace to (Y/N), a present such as this was something that she was not prepared for. And she felt that there was no need to spend so much just for her.
(Y/N): "Yeah, but I wanted to..." He said with confidence. "A little reminder that you guided me with my fears...because you are the sane one between the two of us..." He made his intentions well known to his friend. Adding a little joke to the side to make things a whole lot easier.
Tsuyu: "This is so sweet..." She smiled and put her hand to her chest. She loved the gift. "Could you help me?" Her cheek tinted a little red when she asked for his assistance. She wanted to have it with her, and wear it just right for such a gesture.
(Y/N): "Sure." His cheeks also turned a little bit red, although both of their smiles didn't leave their faces. Tsuyu made her hair to the side, exposing her neck so it was easier for him to put the necklace on her. Once the necklace was in its place, Tsuyu put a hand over the pendant and turned to look at him. "You believe in me, and I want you to know that I believe in you."
Officer: "Last call for the train, all aboard!!!" The man encarming the security screamed for everyone that was not on the train yet got on, their departure was just a few seconds away.
Tsuyu: "I should go..." She smiled once again, although it was sad that this little moment was being rushed.
(Y/N): "Don't worry, go! I'll be here when you get back. Show them all... Froppy..." He said to her as she went in the train. They didn't lose eye contact, even if the doors closed on them. As Tsuyu smiled from inside waving a goodbye for (Y/N) before the train started moving.
When the train advanced to the point that it was just a single dot in the distance, (Y/N) breathed in happily, proud of himself. Walking back to Mr. Aizawa, so that they could start their training.

Hey, guys. Just as I promised, I been working more frequently on my stories. Although, that each chapter due to my style of writing it takes me a decent amount of time. So, I will try to bring a chapter at least once a month. Things are starting to get interesting in this story, because you have no idea what I have in store for it. The narrative of the story would start to reach it's deepest when we hit the 3rd season.
You won't want to miss it.
And be on the look out for the other projects that I have in mind. Because, once I finish the Atlantis Book, another project would start.
I think that would be all for the moment...
Thank you and see you on the next chapter
