Chapter One -Gold Dusting-
N'oubliez jamais qui vous êtes.
June 20, 1794
"Mother?" A young voice, who was subsequently barging into the room, belonging to a girl just shy of being thirteen years of age, asks her ageing mother on the side of caution. "Ja, Liebe?" Her mother's Native tongue of German was present and was exceedingly thick. "Vati?" The girl started, "Wo... Wo ist er?" She asks in the same language, her mother choked up, "Er... er ist Weg, Liebe." The distraught now widowed mother sobbed. Her daughter froze where she stood, trying to make sense of it, then it hit. The bitter yet truthful realization came crashing down unto the fatherless preteen. "Vather!!" She screamed, crumpling to the floor of her mother's study. Wailing, mourning and sobs could be heard throughout the manor. Yet, none could stop it. For they too were in their own mind place trying to make sense of the recent event.
Past few days, were harsh on the United Kingdom. Word was sent out that His Majesty, Sir Silas Alfred Williams, lay dead. And that his wife; Her Majesty, Queen Marie Louise Victoire, will take the throne till their child, the Princess, could inherit the Royal British Throne.
"Votre Altesse" A heavy French accent, brought the dazed Princess back to reality. "Hm?" The Princess, acknowledging the man trying to gain her attention. "Ma'selle, please pay attention to these studies. I know that your father has passed away recently. But you have to do this lesson because there will be French diplomats at the funeral." Her teacher, Monsieur De la Croix, is the current king of the French empire "Désolé, Votre Majesté, continuez s'il vous plaît." The Princess replied with a crackly French accent. And so her Godfather continued with the lesson.

"My husband was such a wonderful man. I'm not sure I can really express just how much I will miss him. Not only was he a wonderful husband, but a wonderful father, grandfather, best friend, colleague ...and so much more. " The princess didn't say anything while her mother delivered her winded speech.
"And now a farewell from their child." Her Highness was brought back to reality. "Right. Speech, Speech." She muttered, "Well, many of you won't know my name or anything else until I am Crowned. So, My name is Princess Victoria Alexandria Victoire-Williams. And Father was the light of my life. Even as a little girl, I remember him making me laugh so much I would nearly cry. He had a wicked sense of humour that rubbed off on anyone that was near him. No one was upset around Father for too long - although he did have his serious side, too, of course."
"Tochter, singen für sie." The Queen asked her beloved daughter, "Welches Lied, Mama?" The young girl asks her mother, "Ihren Favoriten." The mother replied. Victoria nodded and cleared her throat, "This song is very precious to me so I hope you like it."
