This first part of the chapter was also meant to be smut like the previous chapter but I changed things up because I wanted to focus on Hoseok

It's been four years.

Taehyung and Jungkook have been happy together, occasionally giving each other dares, while taking care of their little dog, Yeontan, who isn't so little anymore.

Namjoon and Jin have been a lot more open about their relationship and by that, I mean Namjoon and Jin not giving a fuck if Jimin was home and listening to Namjoon's moans as Jin fucked him in the room next door.

Yoongi and Jimin have been living in their own world of sunshine and rainbows. Yoongi is all soft and cutesy with Jimin, but his attitude is the opposite when it comes to his friends. He still loves them, but he loves Jimin more.

Yugyeom and Bambam have been thinking about marriage. They've been together since high school, so after seven years they'd eventually think it was time to tie the knot. They were ecstatic and even asked Jungkook if he could their man of honor.

Heck, even Yeontan was living his life. He wasn't as little as he was before, he had grown, but he was still the cutest little dog Taehyung and Jungkook had ever seen. Yeontan enjoyed having the attention of both his parents on him.

Hoseok? Well, as much as his heart still hurt whenever he saw Yoongi and Jimin together and happy, he tried his best to stay happy.

He distracted himself with dancing since that's what he loved other than his friends and Yoongi and Jimin. Hoseok had even opened up his own dance studio now where students would come in each day of the week and practice.

Sometimes his friends would come to his dance studio and dance as well, but he was surprised when Yugyeom and Bambam had shown up one day.

Now, it became a habit for Hoseok to see them in their dance class. The three of them would walk together to Jin and Jimin's house, talking about the dance covers they had done that day and how Bambam kept staring at Yugyeom's ass.

"I can't help myself!" Bambam exclaimed as he tried to cover up the blush on his cheeks as Yugyeom and Hoseok teased him. "Your ass just looks perfect in those sweatpants."

"Your ass looks perfect without anything on." Yugyeom teased making Bambam's face turn even redder.

"Don't get too flirty." Hoseok playfully threatened. "I'm still single."

"Don't worry hyung, love will come to you one day," Bambam said, trying to change the subject.

It worked because Yugyeom's expression turned serious when he looked at Hoseok. "You should try again."

Hoseok sighed, his playful smile disappearing. "They're happy, though." He said, referring to Yoongi and Jimin.

"But you're not," Yugyeom said. "Stop being so selfless. Sometimes you have to be selfish and snatch that happiness for yourself."

"And if they don't feel the same way?"

"As long as you confess your feelings for them and they understand your love for them is more than just friends, you'll be okay. Even if Yoongi and Jimin don't feel that same way about you, you'll feel that heavy weight of sadness lifted off your shoulders."

"Yugyeom is right," Bambam said, his cheeks no longer red. "Your heart isn't at rest. Make peace with your heart even if Yoongi and Jimin don't feel the same way, at least you'll be able to move on. I know that the happiest people can be hurting the most and yet, no one would know, but we know and we care about you Hoseok. Be selfish for once. Get that happiness you deserve."

Hoseok was tearing up by the time Yugyeom and Bambam had finished. He pulled both boys in for a hug and cried into their shoulders.

Yugyeom and Bambam didn't say anything. They rubbed the older's back to comfort him as Hoseok continued to cry. Their heart hurt for him. They just wanted Hoseok to be happy. He deserved to be happy.

Hoseok found himself not being able to sleep again that night. It had been countless nights where he couldn't sleep, his mind racing with sad thoughts about Yoongi and Jimin.

But tonight, it was different.

Hoseok replayed Bambam and Yugyeom's words in his head.

"Stop being so selfless. Sometimes you have to be selfish and snatch that happiness for yourself."

"I know that the happiest people can be hurting the most and yet, no one would know, but we know and we care about you Hoseok. Be selfish for once. Get that happiness you deserve."

Hoseok had gotten so close with Yugyeom and Bambam over the years. They were there for him when no one else knew how much he was hurting. He didn't want to tell his friends. They were happy.

Hoseok had only told Yugyeom and Bambam because they were the only ones who got to see his sadness. Pretending to be happy is a lot of work. He had let his mask off, revealing his true emotions.

Hoseok never let his mask fall in front of his friends. He tried his best to be happy for them and he was happy for them, but it hurt seeing their happiness.

Maybe Yugyeom and Bambam are right, Hoseok thought. I need to stop waiting for my happiness to come to me. I've been hurting for so long. It's time I snatch it away for myself. I deserve to be happy.

Hoseok eventually fell asleep, a small smile on his lips as he thought about how soon he'd have his happiness.

He woke up the next day with that same smile and it stayed as he got ready the day. Before leaving for his dance studio, he texted Yoongi and Jimin.

Hoseokie: Can you and Jimin meet me at the park after work. I have to tell you guys something that's been bothering me for so long.

Yoongi Hyung: Is everything okay, Hoseok?

Hoseokie: I'll tell you after work.

Yoongi's heart raced a bit, worried about Hoseok and what he had to tell them. He quickly texted Jimin letting him know that Hoseok wanted to meet them at the park after work.

Jimin was confused but also worried. He wondered if everything was okay with Hoseok.

"You'll be okay, Hoseok," Yugyeom said.

It was time for Hoseok to close his dance studio and head to the park to meet Yoongi and Jimin. His heart was racing and his shaky hands nervously struggled with the key in his hand, trying to lock the door. Eventually, he did after a few more attempts.

"Breath, Hoseok," Bambam said. "You're moments away from putting your heart at peace."

Yugyeom nodded as the three of them began to walk in the direction of the park. "Even if Yoongi and Jimin don't feel the same you feel about them, at least your heart will be able to move on."

"Imagine how awkward it will be if they don't feel the same way I do. We see each other every single day. It'll be hard to face them after confessing my love to them." Hoseok said as he thought about the possible scenarios that could go wrong.

"Stop thinking like that. It'll only be awkward if you make it awkward." Bambam said before moving away from his boyfriend and standing on the other side of Hoseok. "Just think positive." He said before reaching for Hoseok's hand and intertwining their fingers.

Yugyeom wasn't the jealous type of boyfriend. He smiled and also reached for Hoseok's other hand before intertwining their fingers as well.

Hoseok's nervousness washed away as he held his friends' hands. He gave them a light squeeze to reassure his friends that he won't think negatively.

It was quiet the rest of the way to the park, a small smile once again playing on Hoseok's lips. Yugyeom and Bambam playfully swung their hands that were intertwined with Hoseok's, back and forth.

The playful gesture made Hoseok's small smile grow bigger. Yugyeom and Bambam loved seeing Hoseok smile. His smile was contagious and soon they found themselves widely grinning.

"Oh look, Yoongi and Jimin are already there," Yugyeom said as they neared the park, spotting the two males sitting on a bench together, holding hands.

"Go get your happiness you deserve," Bambam said as they stopped. Both males let go of Hoseok's hands and smiled at him as he began to walk towards Yoongi and Jimin.

"Call us when you get home!" Yugyeom shouted.

Hoseok turned and nodded at his friends before he watched them turn away from the park and make their way home.

Hoseok turned back to the direction of Yoongi and Jimin and every single negative thought began to race through his head once again. So many what if's and scenarios played in his head, making each step he took hard for him to walk.

What if they don't feel the same way?

What if they hate me after this?

What if love really isn't for me?

Am I just going to have to live on each day, seeing them happy as I suffer from pain and rejection?

I can't do this anymore. Maybe it's best if I just suffer inside and pretend like it doesn't hurt when-

"Hyung!"

Hoseok was snapped out of his thoughts after hearing Jimin call him. He forced a smile as he approached the two and sat down on the bench with them.

"Hi," Hoseok nervously said.

"Is everything okay?" Yoongi asked.

"Yeah, is everything okay? I was worried when Yoongi told me that you wanted to see us." Jimin said.

Hoseok sighed before he began. "No, things are not okay. They haven't been okay for four years now. At first, I was able to hide what I really felt, but seeing you two together, it was too much for me."

"What are you talking about Hoseok?" Yoongi asked.

Hoseok ignored the older and continued to speak. "I'm tired of hurting. I'm tired of waiting for love to come to me."

"Do we make you feel unhappy?" Jimin asked as he listened to Hoseok speak. "We're sorry if we make you feel sad with our relationship. We didn't know our happiness would hurt you." Jimin apologetically smiled.

"No that's not what I mean, Jimin," Hoseok said.

"Then what do you mean?" Yoongi and Jimin asked in unison, both males very confused.

"I confessed to you guys four years ago, but...you guys took it the wrong way, so I'm trying again..." Hoseok paused and took a shaky breath before finally, finally making his heart feel at peace and told his friends, "Yoongi hyung, Jimin, I love you guys. I love you guys more than just friends. I love you guys the same way you two love each other and I've been in love with you guys all these years."

I was so close to putting Hoseok in a y/n relationship which I really didn't want to. Don't get me wrong, I do read some y/n bts fanfics but when it's a bts ship fanfic I don't like y/n suddenly coming in the story and being Hoseok's partner bc he couldn't find love. HOSEOK DESERVES ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD
