The only rival of Morgan Group that could match their resources and fame.

It was located in the same district as Morgan Group, and probably was bigger and more luxurious than the latter.

The first step into the lobby was like stepping into another world altogether. Like a utopia – with all the good looking employees everywhere, who wore all white.

“Hello there, may I help you?”

One of the beautiful men approached the newcomer with a smile on his face.

Lilliane Long knew that as long as Artemis was still there at Morgan Group, she would not have a chance to shine. So she decided to look for her options and Morningstar Entertainment was number 1 on the list.

“I have an appointment with Ms. Lilith. Can you let her know that Lilliane Long is here?”

She didn’t even bother to say please or even take off her sunglasses since she had to maintain her image as a famous actress even though she had never been on the list of famous actresses before. 

She had this one movie where she was a lead actress and it was in the top ten of the box office for a few weeks. Well, 10 days. And it was actually number 10 before it flopped and never been seen again.

But the man was still smiling and did not take her arrogant treatment to heart at all.

“Of course Ms. Long. Director Lilith has told me to take you straight upstairs when you come. Please, follow me.”

She followed the man into an elevator and he pressed the 66th floor before the elevator closed and took them to their destination – and gasped when the elevator opened.

The lobby was already beautiful beyond belief, but here… It was a paradise by itself.

From the moment she stepped out of the elevator, every inch of the floor was covered in a gleaming iridescent white marble floor that made her feel like she was walking on the clouds.

The walls and ceiling were also made out of the same material, and the couches were the same iridescent color so that you could feel like you were sitting on the cloud. It was great although it made her a bit disoriented.

The man led her to the opposite direction of the elevator and knocked on the hidden door – to reveal an office inside.

“Ms. Lilith, Ms. Long is here.” The man showed Lilliane Long inside and closed the door behind him.

The inside of the office was different from the outside – with all the warm color and dark woods all over – with a splash of red here and there – making her instantly comfortable.

The woman was sitting behind the huge mahogany desk in front of a bookshelf that was filled with big books with dark covers that looked expensive, and she looked straight at her.

“Ms. Long. Please, sit down.”

She smiled warmly and pointed at the seating in front of her.

“Is there anything you want? Coffee? Tea?” The woman stood up and walked to the corner of the office where there was a hidden niche filled with alcohol bottles and a fancy coffee maker. “For me, a little sip of this will help me boost my capacity for the rest of the day.” She chuckled and poured herself a shot of whiskey.

“No thanks, I’m… full.” Lilliane refused, but she kept the information that Lilith liked to drink expensive liquors and she made a note to give her something later.

“Suit yourself.” Lilith shrugged and walked back to her seat. “So, I hear that you want to move to Morningstar Entertainment since your contract at the Morgan Group is nearing its end? Did they offer to renew the contract?”

“They did.” She lied through her teeth since there was no news from upper management about her renewal, so she assumed that they were not going to do so. “But I refused since they didn’t seem to appreciate my talent.”

“Hmm…” 

Lilith rapped her long red nails at the desk and she seemed to be in a deep thought.

Lilliane was starting to sweat since the gaze of the woman in front of her  was deep and piercing, like she could see into her soul and through her lies – when suddenly Lilith smiled widely.

“Of course, I understand. I actually prepared a contract for you, and you can get all the fame and riches you want, as long as you sign it.” 

She took out a thin folder out of her desk and extracted a piece of paper before giving it to Lilliane – who immediately snatched it and read the terms and conditions.

Then she frowned.

The contract seemed to be very favorable to her. The Morningstar Entertainment would only take 6% of everything she earned, and provided her with housing, car, bodyguard, manager, lessons, and everything else she could dream of. Compared to the 25% that the Morgan Group extorted from her, this was on a different level.

“Are you sure this contract is correct? You only take 6%?” Lilliane eyed Lilith suspiciously. “Is there any hidden condition that I should know about?”

“No hidden condition, but the contract will last until you are not able to continue working for us. So no renewal, no cancellation, but also no change in the commission percentage.” Lilith smiled. “If you agree, please sign under your name there.” She took out a fancy pen and put it in front of her.

It didn’t take too long for Lilliane to snatch the pen and sign it with her name. But when she finished signing it, she felt a prick on her finger and a drop of blood came out and fell onto the contract – right on top of her name.

“Oh shit, sorry about it. Should I sign another one?”

“Don’t worry about it, love.” Lilith smiled and took the contract away. “Welcome to Morningstar Entertainment, Lilliane Long – or should I say… Levi Tran?”
