Chapter 5: Anchor
"YAY WE'RE ALL FRIENDS NOW!" Grace yelled holding Timmy and Vicky tightly in her arms.
"I CAN'T BREATHE!" Timmy choked.
"Air! Need air!" Vicky pleaded.
"Sorry!" Grace said, letting them go.
Timmy and Vicky coughed as they caught their breaths.
"Haven't you ever heard of personal..." Vicky asked, then she placed her hand on Grace's arm. "Wow, your sweater is so soft!"
"So, what was that about the Devil coming out of your basement?" Timmy asked.
"I know this sounds insane, even from someone who is half ghost." Danny said. "But apparently the Devil is not only real, but he just came out of the ghost portal in my parents basement."
"And he gave your sister radiation poisoning?" AJ asked.
"Just ask Grace." Danny said. "She's an actual angel."
"Like a real angel?" AJ said.
"Show 'em Grace." Danny said.
"I'm starting to get tired of showing this to people." Grace said before extending he wings.
"How do we know you're not just half bird?" AJ said.
"Are you fucking serious?" Danny asked.
"Look into my eyes AJ." Grace said, doing the same trick on AJ she did to Tucker.
"Well that is harder to explain." AJ said, after getting a glimpse of Heaven through Grace's eyes. "But as a scientist. I've never believed in angels."
"Really?" Grace said. "Because as an angel, I've ALWAYS believed in science."
"You do?" AJ said. "Psh I thought you'd be calling science some sort of forbidden knowledge, or the work of the Devil or some other nonsense."
"I don't think the Devil is that into science." Grace explained. "He's more into well... murder. Me on the other hand I've always admired the pursuit of science. Science is after all God's gift to mankind and has compelled you to do amazing things. Like curing diseases and going to the moon."
"Well." AJ said. "I never thought of it that way, but that's a good point."
"Guys can we PLEASE focus on the fact that my sister is slowly dying of radiation poisoning!" Danny interrupted. "Grace, can't you heal Jazz with your angel powers or something?"
"I wish I could." Grace replied. "If she was just cut, or had a broken bone, I could heal her. But this is gamma radiation. I don't have the ability to affect gamma rays. However, you could... No that would be too dangerous."
"What?" Danny asked.
"If we had Lucifer's pitch fork. We could use it to suck the radiation from Jazz's body." Grace explained. "But no one knows where it is. That is of course if Lucifer hasn't found it already."
"Maybe we can discuss this in the morning." Sam suggested. "It's been a long day, and I'm tired."
Grace noticed a fish bowl on a counter. She walked over to the bowl to see the three goldfish swimming inside. "Whose fish are these?" Grace asked.
"Those are mine." Timmy replied.
"Timmy and his goldfish." AJ said.
"Yeah didn't you have those for like 10 years?" Chester asked.
"I figured something was up with those fish." Vicky said.
"Well they are beautiful." Grace smiled. "Hey Timmy, can I talk to you for a second. Alone."
"About my fish?" Timmy said.
"Ah yeah. I'm uh..." Grace stuttered. "I am also a fish enthusiast."
"Oh really? What's your favorite kind." Timmy asked.
"Um... those ones with the long pretty tails that they sell in plastic cups." Grace replied.
"Betta fish?" Timmy replied.
"Yeah... betta fish." Grace said.
"Didn't think you would be into those kind of fish." Timmy said.
"Why not?"
"Oh. they are SUPER aggressive." Timmy replied. "If you put two males in a tank together. They will tear each other to pieces."
"GEEZE!" Grace said.
"Man knows his fish." AJ added.
"Look, I just have something I need to talk to you about that I don't want the others to hear." Grace said.
"Me? But we just met." Timmy said.
"Ugh just come on." Grace said. The two of them walked out onto the back porch away from the group.
"I'm a little nervous here." Timmy said. "Kind of feel like you're planning to mug me or something."
"How long have you had those fairies?" Grace asked.
"Excuse me?" Timmy said.
"The fairies in that fish bowl." Grace said. "How long have you had them? I was under the impression kids lost their fairy godparents when they got older. Wait, are you a child?"
"No, I'm not a child." Timmy said. "And I don't appreciate the sarcasm."
"Sarcasm?" Grace said. "Uh... what's that?"
Timmy looked at her for a moment until he realized she was being serious. "You don't know what sarcasm is?"
Grace shook her head.
"It's kind of like, when you say something, but mean the opposite." Timmy explained. "Wait you really thought I could still be a child?"
"Well I'm not human." Grace said. "I don't know."
"No, I'm not a child." Timmy said.
"Then why do you still have fairies." Grace asked.
"How do you know I have fairies?" Timmy asked.
"I'm an angel, Timmy." Grace said. "I can sense other magical beings. And a massive aura of fairy magic is surrounding those fish. I asked to see you alone, because I know you can't reveal them to anyone, or they will go away."
"You've read Da Rules?" Timmy said.
"Yes, I have." Grace said. "Cover to cover. It only took about 100 years."
"How old are you?" Timmy asked.
"About 100 million years old, and still young." Grace replied.
Then Timmy's fairies, Cosmo, Wanda and Poof, appeared by Timmy's side. Having not changed a bit in 10 years.
"Wow a real angel!" Cosmo said with glee. "I never thought I'd actually see one!"
"Guys what are you doing here?" Timmy asked. "There's a person here. She can clearly see you."
"Timmy, Grace is an angel." Wanda explained. "We may not be able to reveal ourselves to humans, but magical beings like angels are just fine."
"And boy does she look Heavenly." Cosmo gushed.
"Cosmo!" Wanda said.
"Well it's very nice to meet you." Grace smiled.
"Well I suppose I should tell you how I've kept them for so long." Timmy said. "You see, I've used Cosmo and Wanda's magic to help so many people. Jorgen, and the fairy counsel agreed to let me keep them, so long as I used them to make the world a better place."
"Cosmo and Wanda huh?" Grace said. "I like those names."
"So why did you want to see my fairies?" Timmy asked.
"Well maybe they can help." Grace said. "They grant your every wish. Maybe you can simply wish Danny's sister was healed."
"Oh yeah I can!" Timmy smiled. "Cosmo, Wanda, I wish Danny's sister was healed of her sickness and could go back home."
Cosmo and Wanda raised their wands only for them to make a farting noise and not work.
"Oh, what's wrong?" Timmy asked.
"I don't know." Wanda said. "What did you say was wrong with her again."
"Radiation poisoning." Timmy said.
"How did she get radiation poisoning?" Cosmo asked. "Does she work at one of those big steamy things you see in the Simpsons?"
"A nuclear Powerplant." Timmy said. "I don't think so."
"She had a run in with the fallen angel Lucifer." Grace explained. "And he soaked her body in gamma rays."
"LUCIFER!!!" Cosmo and Wanda both said in shock.
"Don't even say his name!" Cosmo warned. "Not in front of the baby!"
"You'll invite his evil into our home." Wanda said.
"K so I'm not really religious but." Timmy said. "You guys have heard of Lucifer?"
"Heard of him?" Wanda said. "Timmy, Lucifer is the granddaddy of all evil in the universe. He makes anti-fairies look like regular fairies in comparison. Even before he fell, he was a brutal killing machine, who really liked to get his hands dirty."
"He never even washed his hands." Cosmo added.
"I mean dirty with blood Cosmo." Wanda said. "He got a thrill out of beating his enemies to a pulp and dismembering them."
"Oh." Timmy said. "And let me guess, he's so powerful your magic doesn't work on him."
"Well I guess plan B is to find L... you know who's pitch fork." Grace said.
"Or you can, you know. Let the doctors do their job." Timmy said. "Radiation poisoning isn't a death sentence. This girl has a good chance of making it. Besides I'm sure anything is better than facing off against the Devil himself."
"I think you're right." Grace said. "I just hope Danny see's it that way."
...
Denzel Crocker was in his basement working on his latest fairy hunting invention (that would surely fail).
"With this tracker." Crocker said to himself. "I will finally be able to locate the legendary FAIRY WORLD. And I will finally have proof of FAIRY GOD PARENTS!!!!!"
"Fairies huh?" A voice came from behind Crocker, after the sound of flapping wings.
Crocker turned around to see a man with blond hair, red leather jacket, blue jeans, and work boots.
"Who are you?" Crocker asked. "And how did you get into my CROCKER CAVE!!!!"
"I am an angel. My name is Amenadiel." Lucifer lied. "I'm hear to help you Denzel"
"An angel?" Crocker said. "Prove it."
"This proof enough for you?" Lucifer asked as his wings sprouted from his back. His wings were so big that he could reach out to both ends of the room with them. His feathers were heavenly white, and a claw grew from the peak of each wing.
"Maybe." Crocker said. "Although you could just be some sort of bird person."
"Well how about this?" Lucifer held out his hand as if he was holding an invisible glass. Suddenly Crocker felt as if someone had grabbed onto his throat and squeezed as hard as they could.
"OK... I believe you." Crocker choked out.
Lucifer let him go and tucked his wings back into his body.
"So, Amenadiel?" Crocker said. "To what do I ow this pleasure?"
"I am hear on a mission from the lord." Lucifer lied. "There is an artifact in fairy world that I need. But the problem is, I don't know where fairy world is. Quite frankly when I first heard of the place, I thought it was a joke."
"Wait so if God wants you to go to fairy world?" Crocker questioned. "Why wouldn't he just tell you where fairy world is? I mean isn't God supposed to be all knowing?"
"You dare question the will of God?" Lucifer demanded, flames rising from his fist.
"NO! Mr. Amenadiel. Of, course not!" Crocker quaked. "So, uh... what is this artifact that you need? And PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!!"
"It is part of an ancient and powerful weapon." Lucifer explained.
"Hmm... With this antient weapon I can have total control over FAIRY WORLD!" Crocker mumbled to himself. "I'll pretend to help this angel get his weapon. But when he lets his guard down, I'll take the weapon for myself. Amenadiel you fool, I'm going to be playing you the whole time."
"This idiot doesn't realize I'm playing him." Lucifer mumbled to himself. "Once I get my prong, I'll just do away with this lunatic."
"So, how is this going to work?" Crocker asked.
"I will provide you with alien technology more advanced than anything on this planet. And yes, aliens exist, don't get all excited about it." Lucifer explained. "With that you should be able to create a descent GPS that can find the location of fairy world. Then we will go there together. I'll get my weapon, and you get proof of your fairies."
"Amenadiel, you have a deal." Crocker said.
Lucifer's eyes flashed red as he shook Crocker's hand.
"Oh, one more thing." Crocker said. "I'm a very od man. And I'm sure I don't need to tell you that I have done some bad things in the past. I was just wondering. Can you make me immortal?"
"I wouldn't do that even if you paid me. Or if money had value to me." Lucifer explained.
"Oh," Crocker said. "Well, can you at least tell me, you know... My destination?" Crocker asked.
"You mean where you'll go when you die?" Lucifer said. "Don't worry Denzel. After you die, you'll end up right where you need to be."
...
Grace sat on her bed looking at her feet.
"Hey Sam?" Grace asked. "What looks better? Black? Or pink?"
She snapped her fingers and her black canvas shoes turned into pink canvas shoes.
"Well you know I like black." Sam said. "But that's just me. You should go with whatever feels like you."
"I think I'll go with pink." Grace said. She snapped her fingers again and images of hearts where printed on the legs of her jeans.
...
Vicky woke up in her run-down hotel. Her phone rang. It was her landlord, likely calling to yell at her about the rent again.
"Hello." Vicky answered.
"Vicky! Your rent is a month over dew." The man on the other line growled.
"I know." Vicky said. "Just give me a little more time. I've been trying to find a new job but..."
"If I don't get my rent by Friday, you're outta here! Capeesh!" The Landlord replied.
"Yeah fine, whatever." Vicky hung up.
She got dressed and went to a nearby park. There she was drawn to a heavenly tune. Like the singing of an angel.
"You?" Vicky said once she found the source of the music.
"Oh, hey Vicky." Timmy said, looking up from his guitar. Then he went back to singing and playing. "It's gonna take some time to realign."
Timmy was sitting pretzel legged while strumming on an acoustic guitar. A few attractive young women sat around him listening to his singing. Now an adult, Timmy's new singing voice could put Chip Skylark to shame.
"That was you?" Vicky said.
"What was me?" Timmy replied.
"That singing I..." Vicky said. "I never thought a voice like that could come out of well... you."
"Thank you." Timmy said. "Oh, girls, this is my old babysitter Vicky."
"Oh, was she the really mean one?" One of the girls asked. Vicky blushed.
"Well yeah but..." Timmy said. "I mean it wasn't all bad, I guess. We were kids back then. Vicky's grown since then."
One of the girls gave Vicky and odd look. She had blond hair, a green t-shirt, and blue jeans. Her eyes seemed to stick out the most, a brilliant emerald green.
The girl stood up and walked over to Vicky. "Timmy has told me so much about you."
"Are you one of his friends?" Vicky asked.
"Well who isn't a friend of Timmy Turner?" The girl said. "My name is Stacey by the way."
"Oh, nice to meet you." Vicky said.
Stacy leaned in to whisper in Vicky's ear. "You really think you can just forget the past?"
Chills ran down Vicky's spine as Stacy talked. Something in Stacy's voice changed as she whispered, something dark.
"You think Timmy's life is going well in spite of what you've done." Stacy continued to whisper. "His life was horrible when you knew him. He only got better because you left his life. And as his life got better, yours got worse. Timmy's now one of the most popular kids at the collage and has a bright future. You on the other hand. You have no job, no friends, and you live in a shit hole of an apartment. Your own family hates you and come Friday when you fail to pay that rent, you will be homeless. Your life is pain, and you have no way out."
Vicky's heart raced.
Stacy continued. "This world. Everyone you know or care about. That is if you've ever cared about anyone, would be better off if you were DEAD."
"What?" Vicky said.
"I know a guy." Stacy whispered. "A guy who wants... who needs something from you. A guy who can make all the pain go away."
Vicky turned her head to see that Stacy had vanished.
"Where'd she go?" Vicky asked.
Where'd who go?" Timmy replied.
"Stacy." Vicky said.
"Who's Stacy?" Timmy asked.
"One of the girls who was sitting next to you." Vicky said. "She was just talking to me and said some REALLY messed up stuff."
Timmy gave Vicky a weird look. "I don't know anyone named Stacy."
"But she... you... I..." Vicky was confused.
"Come sit down." Timmy invited. "You look like you need to relax a bit."
Vicky sat down.
"So, Vicky." Timmy said. "How has life been treating you."
"Oh, you know. Same old, same old." Vicky said, avoiding having to talk about her circumstances.
"You go to school here?" Timmy asked.
"Uh... no." Vicky said. "I live in an apartment just off campus."
"You see Tootie lately." Timmy asked.
"No." Vicky said holding her knees. "When I turned 18, my parents kicked me out of the house and told me never to come back."
"Ouch." Timmy said. "Well unfortunately life's not like a video game. Your actions do have consequences."
"Yeah I learned that the hard way." Vick said. "After I was kicked out, I spent the next couple of years in a mental hospital after an um... incident."
"Oh..." Timmy said. "I won't ask what happened."
"Thank you." Vicky said. "You know, Tootie, she uh... she really liked you. You know that, right?"
"Yeah I actually dated her for a while." Timmy said.
"You did?"
"Yeah but..." Timmy said. "We wanted different things from life. She wanted to travel the world and save animals. I simply wanted to settle down and become a game designer."
"Game designer?" Vicky said. "Well that sounds like you."
"Yeah, I've been taking a lot of classes here on programing." Timmy said. "It's interesting but challenging. Now you don't babysit anymore right?"
"Fuck no." Vicky said. "Truth be told I hated that job. So, what did you do after you and Tootie split up? I bet you went after that Trixie girl huh."
"Sort of..." Timmy said. "But it turns out Trixie's actually a lesbian."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah she's dating Veronica." Timmy said.
"Actually, I can see that." Vicky said. "Veronica did seem a bit obsessed with Trixie. I kind of figured she had a crush on her. Well what about that blond girl that moved in next to you?"
"Chloe?" Timmy said. "Oh, I'm still friends with Chloe. But she's more like a sister to me. You know Tootie's going to be in town this weekend. I'm sure you'd like to talk to her after all these years."
"I would." Vicky said. "But I doubt she wants to see me. How long is she going to be in town?"
"Not sure." Timmy replied. "She's coming to see the concert with me and some friends this weekend."
"Concert? What concert?" Vicky asked.
"Oh... You didn't here." Timmy said. "Skillet's coming to the collage to play live."
"Skillet?" Vicky said. "The Christian Rock band?"
"They're more rock, than Christian but yeah." Timmy said. "They don't even mention God or Jesus or anything in their songs. Though their songs are about God and Jesus, especially Stars. But trust me, their songs still rock. Especially Stars."
"I know who skillet is, I have all their albums." Vicky replied. "So are you opening for them?"
"No." Timmy replied. "I'm not a professional. The singer opening for them is this woman named Ember."
...
Jack and Maddie Fenton stayed at the hospital overnight while Jazz was sick, and their house was being repaired. Danny walked in.
"Hey Jazz, look who survived the explosion." Danny said holding Jazz's stuffed bear she had since she was a little girl.
"Bearburt!" Jazz said with a week smile.
"How you holding up?" Danny asked as he handed his sister the toy.
"Well, I'm alive." Jazz said.
"Hang in their Jazz." Danny said. "You're gonna be okay."
"Hey Danny." Jazz said. "If I don't make it..." She coughed.
"Don't say that." Danny said. "You're gonna make it." Danny grabbed the bed railing and crushed it like it was made of clay.
"Easy their Hulk." Jazz smiled. "You'll break my bed."
"Huh... I guess I don't know my own strength." Danny said.
"Well if I don't make it. Just know that I'm glad to have you as a brother." Jazz smiled.
"Jazz I..." Danny said. Suddenly he felt a pain in his back, as if something was pushing against his skin. "I'll be right back, I have to go to the bathroom."
Danny rushed down the hall into the bathroom. He walked up to the mirror. He turned around and lifted his shirt to take a look at his back. His heart skipped a beat when he saw something moving just under his skin. Something was in his back and trying to get out.
Danny backed away from the mirror in horror. "What the heck is going on? Do I have some kind of parasite?"
Danny again went up to the mirror and looked himself in the face. Suddenly his eyes changed color. First, they went from blue to green. Being half ghost, this was normal. However, then they switched from green to a bright golden yellow color, like the headlights of a car. Danny closed his eyes, opened them back up again and they had returned to their normal blue.
"What is going on?" Danny said. Then he smelled something awful. "Ugh." Danny left the bathroom, figuring the smell to be the obvious. But he could still smell it when he got into the hallway. It was rancid and overpowering. It was like rotten eggs, like... sulfur.
"Oh, no." Danny realized. He turned around to see the source of the smell standing menacingly in the hallway. His old roommate Damien. AKA the demon known as Zozo.
This time Zozo was sporting a red t-shirt with a pentagram on it, with tight black jeans and black shoes. With red highlights in his black hair.
"Did you miss me Daniel?" Zozo asked. "I missed you. We had so much fun the last time."
"Ugh, what do you want Zozo?" Danny asked, turning into his ghost form.
"Oh, just a little rematch." Zozo explained. "You may be insignificant, but you may still be a threat to my boss. And Lucifer doesn't like to take chances." Zozo gave an evil smile.
"Lucifer?" Danny said floating into the air. "That's the bastard who put my sister in the hospital."
"Well let's get this started, shall we?" Zozo said. "Unless you want that girly little angel to save your ass again." Zozo lifted his hand in the air, and a cart floated into the air. The demon then telekinetically through the cart at Danny.
Danny stuck his palms out in front of him and the cart stopped in mid-air just before it hit Danny. Danny opened his eyes to see the cart floating in front of him.
"Huh?" Danny said as the cart continued to float. "Am I doing this? Do... do I have telekinesis now?"
Danny pushed his hand through the air and the cart flew back at Zozo, striking him in the face.
"Hey cool!" Danny said. "I have telekinesis now! And to add to that Zozo. I know your weakness now." Danny went intangible and flew through the ceiling.
Zozo too made himself intangible and fallowed Danny.
The two floated in the air above the hospital.
Zozo shot a couple blasts of dark demonic energy at Danny. Danny created a shield of green ghost energy to block the blasts. The first blast hit the shield and destroyed it. The second blast hit Danny. It hurt, like getting punched by a fist that was on fire. But Danny was tough, and he did not fall.
Zozo shot another blast at Danny. Danny created another shield. This time the shield was made out of some sort of white energy, and it deflected Zozo's demonic blast. Danny shot a beam of white energy at Zozo and blasted a hole in the demon's chest.
"Whoa." Danny said. "Stronger shield, stronger blast, telekinesis. Am I getting more powerful? Is this some sort of ghostly puberty?"
Then Danny spotted what he was looking for. A church that was near the hospital.
"If you wanna fight a demon. You gotta get religious." Danny said to himself.
"HEY SOSO!" Danny taunted.
"It's Zozo!" Zozo growled as the hole in his chest closed up.
"Catch me if you can, Soso!" Danny flew down toward the church.
Danny phased through the roof of the church and landed with a superhero landing. The church was deserted, as it was not Sunday.
"Even deserted." Danny said. "This place is still holy ground."
Zozo came in phasing through the roof.
Danny turned around. "Come my son. For we are all children of God." Danny said in a mocking tone. "Well, maybe not you." Danny pointed to Zozo's feet. Zozo looked down to see his feet where sizzling like bacon.
"I do love a good Sunday barbeque." Danny joked.
Zozo leapt into the air with an unholy screech.
Danny blasted him with a shot of green energy and blasted of one of the demon's arms.
"You may be an all-powerful demon on the outside." Danny said. "But in here you might as well just be a ghost."
Danny grabbed Zozo by the head and dunked his face into a bucket of holy water that was in front of the pues.
Zozo flailed trying to get free. The holy water bubbled, and steam rose as Zozo's demonic flesh boiled. Then suddenly the front wall of the church collapsed. Then a huge beast strolled in.
The beast was at least 10 feet high. Its skin was read, it had huge bull horns on its head, and hooves for feet.
"What the heck is that?" Danny said, letting Zozo go.
"The cavalry." Zozo laughed and coughed at the same time, choking on holy water and his own blood. "Danny meet Steve."
"Steve?" Danny said. "What is he, a monitor? Or just someone who drank way too much red bull?"
"He's a baron of Hell." Zozo growled getting back to his feet. "Hehehehehehehehehe!"
The baron of Hell let out a tremendous roar that shook the church. The windows broke and the walls began to crumble.
The ground shook as the baron made its way into the church.
"Hey why isn't he being burned on the holy ground?" Danny asked.
"Oh, he is." Zozo said. "He's just so big that it's not doing much damage. And so mindless he ignores the pain."
The baron got close to Dany and raised his mighty fist.
"Yeah, this is going to hurt. A lot." Zozo said as his arm started to grow back.
CRASH!
With one swipe, the baron pounded Danny into the ground.
"Two against one Daniel." Zozo said rising into the air.
A shockwave struck the Hell baron in the back sending it flying. The creature landed face first on the ground. The holy floor if the church was like lava to the demon. The baron roared in pain.
"Careful Steve." Zozo said. "The floor is lava. Sort of."
"What was that?" Danny said. He looked toward the entrance where the shockwave came from. The smoke cleared to reveal...
"Ember?" Danny said. Getting to his feet.
"The one an only." Replied Danny's ghostly x-foe. Ember McClain, the ghost of a rocker, with hair made of blue flames.
Ember hadn't changed much in the past years. Being a ghost it stands to reason she wouldn't age much
"I saw you fighting that emo kid in the skies and thought I should give you a hand." Ember explained.
"You're helping me." Danny said.
"Of, course." Ember replied. "After what you did with that meteor. You basically saved my after-life. I ow you man."
"Well Zozo. Looks like it's back to an even fight." Danny said.
Then the Hell Baron got back up.
"Oh, shit." Ember said. "I didn't realize how big that guy was. What is he? A monitor or something? Maybe the ghost of one of those Mexican bull fighters."
"He's a baron of Hell." Danny explained. "He's a demon, they both are."
"I hate demons." Ember said. "They totally ruined the ghost zone."
"Ruined the ghost zone?" Danny said. "What's happening to the ghost zone."
"Let's take care of these guys first." Ember said.
Danny tossed a rosary to Ember.
"What's this?" Ember said. "A rosary? What am I? A member of Skillet?"
"Zozo and the baron are demons." Danny explained. "Holy stuff is their kryptonite."
"That makes sense I suppose." Ember said, wrapping the rosary around the neck of her guitar.
"So, which one you want?" Danny asked. "Big red, or Nine Inch Nails?"
"Uh... I'll take the Emo kid." Ember replied.
"I was afraid you'd say that." Danny said before rushing after the Baron of Hell.
Ember turned her attention to Zozo. "Alright kid. Time for me to rock your world."
"Oh no." Zozo taunted. "It's the wanna be rock star who only ever wrote one song. What ever will I do?" giant bat wings spread from Zozo's back.
"You have wings?" Ember said.
"Well yeah." Zozo replied. "How do you think I'm able to fly?"
"I can fly, and I don't have wings." Ember said rising into the air.
Zozo flapped his wings sending a gust of wind that smacked Ember against the wall behind her. "Yeah, I can also do that."
Danny shot energy blasts at the baron, but they only seemed to make him angrier. The beast grabbed Danny and roared in his face. Danny turned intangible and escaped.
Ember started to play a tune on her guitar and a beam of focused soundwaves shot out of the end at Zozo. Zozo blocked the beam with his wings. He then slammed into the ground creating a shockwave of demonic energy that crumble most of the pues to dust. Zozo's feet started to burn again and he got back into the air. Ember turned a nob on her guitar and blades extended from the sides of it to create what looked the head of an axe.
"I guess you can say I wield a wicked axe." Ember said.
The hulking baron of Hell chased after Danny swiping through the air trying to hit the ghost boy. Danny dodged the attacks and continued shooting his energy beams at the monster.
Ember swung her axe at Zozo. A sword materialized in Zozo's hand which he used to block Ember's axe.
Danny shot freezing blasts at the Baron's hooved feet, freezing them to the ground. As the monster tried to struggle free Danny shot an ice blast at the creatures face. Then he punched the monster with all his strength. The ice shattered and the baron fell to the ground. The monster wailed in pain as its back was singed on the holy floor. The baron got back up, grabbed Danny, and threw him through a near by wall.
Danny landed outside the church with a thud. Ember was thrown out not long after.
"These creeps are to strong." Ember said. "Even when weakened on holy ground."
The baron marched out of the church, the earth shaking with each step.
Then Danny's ghost sense went off. "Another ghost?" Danny said.
"Uh... duh I'm right here." Ember said.
"No, not you. I mean..." Danny said. Then they heard a loud roaring sound as something big fell from the sky and tackled the baron. Something big angry and green.
"Am I crazy or is that..." Ember said.
The new creature got to its feet. It looked like a giant green man, full of muscles.
"The incredible hulk?" Danny said.
The baron gave another roar. The Hulk punched the enormous demon in the face a couple of times. The demon returned with a couple punches of its own, but the Hulk blocked them with his forearms. The baron grabbed the Hulk and slammed him into the side of the church. The Hulk grabbed one of the baron's horns and ripped it off. He then stabbed the horn into the baron's stomach. The Hulk then ripped the beasts head off. Yellow and red lightning shot from the baron's headless body as it died and flopped onto the ground.
"Puny demon." The hulk said. Then the hulk shrank down to reveal his true form. An old man with aviator glasses, a gray mustache and a green sweater.
"Stan Lee!" Danny and Ember both said.
"That's right true believers." Stan Lee said. "It's the ghost of Stan Lee. I saw you citizens were in trouble, so I came to help."
"You can turn into the Hulk?" Danny said.
"I can turn into any character who is part of the Marvel universe." Stan Lee explained.
"Oh, look. The comic book artist." Zozo said, still floating in the air.
"Listen here demon." Stan Lee said. "In the name of Marvel, I command you to leave this realm."
"Or what?" Zozo said, "Old man."
Then Stan Lee morphed into Thor. "Or you will face the wrath of the son of Odin." Thor then struck Zozo with a powerful lightning bolt sending him flying miles away.
Thor then turned back into Stan Lee. "I have to go now." Stan Lee said. "But I will always be here when you need me. And remember, we are all part of one big family. And we come together in the body of Marvel. EXSELSIOR!!!!!" then Stan Lee vanished.
"That was both the weirdest and most awesome thing that has ever happened to me." Danny explained.
"Well I should go too." Ember said. "I'm opening for Skillet this weekend, and I should rehearse." Ember disappeared as well. Danny turned back into human form.
...
Vicky Walked through the park just outside campus. She had a green sweater, with a red scarf. She had a lot on her mind and needed to think. She then bumped into a young blond woman, about the same age as Timmy.
"Oh... sorry about that." Vicky said. "I wasn't paying attention. A lot on my mind right now."
"Hey I know you." The blond girl said. "What was your name? Valery?"
"It's Vicky." Vicky said. "And you're Chloe Carmichael. Yeah I used to babysit your friend Timmy."
"Oh yeah I remember you." Chloe said. "You're like, really mean!"
"Yeah I had a lot of issues back then." Vicky admitted, nervously rubbing her arm. "After I quit babysitting, and my parents kicked me out. I got help for my problems. I spent at least four years or so in a mental hospital."
"A mental hospital?" Chloe said. "Did it help?"
"Well I'm not as angry as I used to be." Vicky said. "Now the only harm I cause is to myself."
"Really?" Chloe said. "Well I'm sorry to hear about your mental problems. Well here's to you getting better."
"Vicky Miller." A voice came from behind Vicky. Vicky turned around to see a tall blond man in a red leather jacket, blue jeans and work boots.
"Who are you? And how do you know my name?" Vicky asked.
"Please allow me to introduce myself." Lucifer explained. "I am your new Dean, Lewis."
"Lewis?" Vicky said.
"Lewis is the name." Lucifer lied. "And giving young people a brighter future is my game."
"Still doesn't answer how you knew my name." Vicky pointed out.
"Well as the Dean." Lucifer explained. "I need to know the name of every student at this wonderful university."
"I don't go to school here." Vicky said. "I just happen to live close by."
"Well I know your friend Timmy Turner." Lucifer said. "And he's told me all about you."
"Works for me." Vicky replied.
"I go to school here." Chloe said. "What's my name."
"Ah yes, your Chloe Carmichael." Lucifer said. Luckily for the fallen angel, he had over heard Vicky and Chloe talking earlier.
Lucifer turned his attention back to Vicky. His demonic eyes could see into her body like an evil x-ray machine. He could see the missing prong of his pitch fork radiating inside the young red headed woman's body. Even though Lucifer hated talking to Yog Sathoth, old Yog man surely was always right.
"Well this guy seems totally trust worthy." Chloe said. "And his red leather jacket with flames printed on it looks totally hip, and stylish. I bet you'll be a great Dean, Lewis."
"Thanks." Lucifer said. "The flames are a symbol of my home."
"Oh yeah." Vicky said. "Where are you from?"
"Down under." Lucifer mumbled with an evil half smile.
"Down under?" Chloe said. "You mean you're from Australia?"
"Uh... yes Australia, that's it." Lucifer replied.
"Hey, have you ever met Steve Irwin?" Chloe asked. "He's kind of a personal hero of mine."
"No Steve Irwin went straight to Heaven, where I'm pretty sure the angels made him a saint." Lucifer said. "At the very least I'm pretty sure he became a seraphim."
"What?" Chloe and Vicky both said.
"I mean uh.... Steve Irwin was much too famous for a simple man like me to have met." Lucifer corrected himself.
"Oh." Chloe said. "You know I have some Australian ancestry myself."
Vicky looked down at "Lewis's" pants and boots. Chills ran down her spine as they looked remarkably similar to the ones owned by the mysterious man who had broken into Timmy's place the other night.
"Well I gotta get back to my office and NOT create an evil plot." Lucifer walked away.
"You think he's creating some sort of evil plot?" Vicky asked.
"Of, course not." Chloe said. "Didn't you here him? He said he's NOT creating an evil plot. Well, it was nice seeing you again Vicky, as hard as that is to believe. But I gotta get to class. If I don't hurry I my be a minute late."
Chloe ran off.
...
A boy cut Chloe off as she rushed to class. He was tall. He had dark black hair with red highlights, a red t-shirt with a pentagram on it, black jeans and black shoes.
"Hey." The boy said.
"Um hi... do I know you?" Chloe said.
"No." The boy said. "My name's Damien. And I couldn't help but notice you are very beautiful. So, I thought I'd say hi. And ask if you'd like to... you know hang out sometime."
"Oh." Chloe said. "Well this weekend some friends and I are going to see Skillet. If you'd like to join."
"I don't like Skillet." Damien said moving closer to Chloe.
"Not much of a rocker huh?" Chloe said, backing away.
"Oh, I love rock. I'm just not much of a spiritual person." Damien said. "I was thinking something a little more... personal."
"Well, I'm sure you're a nice guy but..." Chloe said. "I mean I've never even met you before and..."
"Come on, try new things, live a little." Damien said.
"Leave her alone Damien!" A voice called out. It was a girl about Chloe's age. She had brown hair and brown eyes. She had on a red sleeveless blouse, a black mini skirt, and high heels.
"Ah fuck you Anna." Damien said as he stormed off. "Fucking cock blocking bitch."
"I'm Anna." The girl introduced herself. "That charming man you just met is my ex-boyfriend Damien. You gotta watch out for him, he's a real pig."
"Wow, thank you." Chloe said.
"Hey. In this sexist world. Girls gotta stick together." Anna explained.
"So, are you like, a feminist?" Chloe asked.
"A what?" Anna said. "Oh... a feminist. Ah yeah sure."
"Well I do like to fight for women's rights." Chloe said. "I would love a world where men and women are equal."
"Equal?" Anna said. "Why stop there, when women can be better than men."
"Well I..." Chloe said.
"And why stop there..." Anna continued. "When you can even be better than any other woman. The best of the best."
"Well I do believe it's healthy to believe in yourself." Chloe said. "But believing in yourself too much to the point where you think your better than everyone? That can come off as a little... arrogant."
"Who cares how arrogant you come off, when you're better than everyone else." Anna added.
"Well I gotta get to class." Chloe said.
"Don't sweat Chloe." Anna said. "You're closer than you think."
They rounded a corner and where at Chloe's classroom.
"And one minute before the bell rings." Anna said.
"What? How did you?" Chloe stammered.
Chloe went into her class and Anna walked away. She walked around the corner and met up with Damien.
"Hook, line, and sinker." Anna said.
"Why exactly do we care about that annoying blond bimbo?" Damien/Zozo asked.
"Now that the boss knows the location of the prong, he needs to keep track of it." Anna said. "Blonde knows the red head. We need to befriend and manipulate those closest to the red head so we have as many eyes on her as we can."
"You sure this isn't a man's job." Zozo suggested.
Anna grabbed Zozo by the nuts. "Listen Imp!"
"I'm not an imp!" Zozo squeaked. "I'm a Hell Knight."
"Well if you can't even handle some ghost boy. Maybe you should get demoted." Anna squeezed tighter. "Now tell me. If you can't even kill Danny Phantom, How the home, does your genitals make you superior to me?"
"Danny Phantom's not just some ghost." Zozo said, his voice getting higher. "There's something in him. Something powerful."
Anna let go. "Whatever, pig."
Zozo let out a sigh of relief.
...
"Can I help you sugar?" The secretary asked as Lucifer walked into the Dean's office.
"Uh, yeah, my name is Lewis Morningstar." Lucifer said. "I'm the new Dean."
"New Dean?" The secretary said. "What happened to the old one?"
"He retired." Lucifer said, hoping his demons could find a way to get rid of the body.
"Well I see no reason to question your story." The secretary said. "Or how the old dean retired without me knowing. Or your background."
"You don't have too." Lucifer said. Then black smoke bellowed out of the vents and went into the secretary's nose, mouth, and ears. Once the smoke was gone the woman's eyes started to glow yellow.
"Azazel." Lucifer greeted.
"So, this is the best vessel you could find." The possessed secretary said.
"As my new secretary, this is the best strategic possession for you." Lucifer said. "Like Beelzebub as my head of security."
An officer strolled into the room, munching on a doughnut. "Eh, Lucy, you ever try these here doughnut things dare? These humans really know how to cook eh."
"But you really expect me to mascaraed as a middle aged, overweight woman?" Azazel said. "I guess this is going to take some acting skills. Ehem, well hey there sugar, how's about a cup of tea?"
"Not bad." Lucifer said.
"Just don't make me talk too much or I might gag." Azazel warned.
"So, what's the sitch eh?" Beelzebub asked. "Any word on dem there missing prongs?"
"One of the prongs is here on campus." Lucifer said. "And I have some ugly moron looking for fairy world for me."
"Eh, if ya want to find Fairy World, why not just ask Yog Sathoth eh." Beelzebub suggested. "He does know everything eh."
"Because I HATE Yog Sathoth." Lucifer replied. "The less time I have to deal with any great old ones the better. Those bastards make the humans and the angels seem tolerable."
"And about the red head." Azazel said. "Why not just take her now? All you need is to rip out her spine. Shouldn't be a problem for a fallen arch angel."
"I don't want the humans to know who I really am just yet." Lucifer added. "Humans may be weak on their own. But together they can be stronger than you know, especially if they start praying to Dad. Besides, a girl as pretty as Vicky, and with as much damage as she has. I'll get a kick out of tormenting her, there is no rush after all."
"Well you should know eh." Beelzebub said. "Your brother is approaching soon. You thinking of having a violent family reunion eh?"
"For now, we should lay low." Lucifer said. "Until my fork is fixed. I'm not sure if it can stand up to Michael's sword just yet."
Then they heard a knock at the door.
"Come in." Lucifer called out.
Danny Fenton walked into the room. He could pick up a strong sulfur smell in the room, much stronger than when he was fighting Zozo. Chills ran down his back, much more intense than when he was with Grace. This could only mean one thing.
"Uh... you're not the Dean, are you?" Danny said.
"I'm the new Dean." Lucifer explained. "The old guy retired. My name's Lewis. Can I help you?"
"Uh... sort of." Danny said. "My family is going through some tough times."
"Yes, I heard about your sister." Lucifer said. "So tragic. You have my deepest sympathies."
"Yeah I was wondering if there was anywhere, I could get some counseling." Danny said. His heart was racing. His fight or flight response was screaming at him to get out of there. "But on second thought, I think my sister might no some people. I'm sure she can point me in the right direction. You know, before she passes. She was a psychology major after all."
"Don't give up hope." Lucifer said as Danny left the room.
"We should keep an eye on that one." Lucifer grumbled after Danny left.
...
Danny walked as fast as he could across campus.
"Hi Danny!" Grace said, as Danny ran into her. Grace was hanging upside down from a tree.
"Uh... what are you doing?" Danny asked.
Grace climbed back onto the branch she was hanging from, so she was sitting right-side up.
"Making new friends." Grace smiled.
"With who?" Danny asked. "And are those new shoes?"
"I'm making friends with this bird." Grace explained, pointing to a blue bird sitting in a nest. "And yes, these are new shoes. I thought I'd change my look up a bit. Of, course I'm keeping the sweater though, that's like the best part of my outfit."
"Don't you think so?" Grace asked the bird, who responded by happily chirping.
"I found him Grace." Danny said.
"Found who?" Grace said.
"Lucifer." Danny replied.
Grace hopped down from the tree. "Where." Her voice much more serious now.
"He's... he's disguised himself as the Dean of this collage." Danny explained.
"Oh fuck." Grace said. "We gotta get out of here! Come on Danny." Grace tried to grab Danny's hand, but he pulled away.
"Grace wait." Danny said. "If we can get Lucifer's pitch fork, we can help my sister."
"Well... Your sister could recover on her own." Grace said. "You know, without us risking our lives chasing the literal Devil."
"My whole life, Jazz has been there for me." Danny explained. "Most of the time even more than my own parents. I guess that's what happens when your raised by two obsessed ghost hunters. Jazz was the older sibling, and many times she had to step up and be the parent that our parents didn't have time to be. Sometimes I think she's a bigger hero than I am. I just... if it were me in that hospital, I know she would do everything she could to save me."
"I'm sorry." Grace said. "I didn't realize..."
"One more thing." Danny said. "I overheard Lucifer talking to some other people. I think they were demons. He said something about his fork not being complete. He said he was looking for his missing prongs."
"Missing prongs?" Grace said. "That fork of his was supposed to be indestructible."
"He said one was in a place called Fairy World?" Danny said.
"Fairy World. Hey, I know where that is." Grace said. "If one of Lucifer's prongs is there. We need to go there and warn Jorgen."
"Jorgen?" Danny said.
"He's the leader of fairy world." Grace explained. "Did you here Lucifer mention any other prongs?"
"Well I couldn't have heard this right but..." Danny said. "I'm pretty sure I heard him mention the other one being um... inside of Vicky."
"A piece of the Devil's pitchfork, inside the body of a human?" Grace said. "That is NOT good. Lucifer's pitch fork is pure concentrated evil. If it really is in Vicky's body. She's lucky to be alive. Though it would explain why she was so evil in the past. And now the evil may have worn off allowing her to see the error of her ways."
"Well first we gotta go see Jazz." Danny said.
"Right." Grace agreed.
...
Danny and Grace teleported to the hospital.
"Danny, good thing you're here." Jack said. "It... It doesn't look good."
"Jazz!" Danny said. Him and Grace ran into the room. Jazz didn't look good her skin was snow white and her eyes had dark circles and bags. She looked so weak, so exhausted. Her heart monitors were going crazy.
Maddie sat on one side of the bed holding Jazz's hand.
A doctor walked up to Danny.
"You're her brother?" The doctor said.
"Yeah." Danny replied. "Is she gonna be okay?"
"It's best you say your goodbyes." The doctor said.
Danny rushed to the bed. He sat down at the opposite side as his mother.
"Danny?" Jazz said, her voice exceedingly weak.
"Jazz... I... I'm here." Danny said. "It's gonna be okay. Grace and I found a way to fix you..."
"Danny I..." Jazz coughed. "I know what you're planning. And please don't. It's too dangerous, and..." She let out a few more coughs. "I don't have that much time."
"Grace..." Danny said. "I know you said you can't do much for this type of sickness but... You're an actual angel, probably one of the most powerful beings I had ever met. Can't you at LEAST try to do something?"
"I can try?" Grace said.
"Grace no..." Jazz pleaded. "Don't push yourself."
Grace placed her hand on Jazz's. "Well here goes something." A heavenly glow emanated from Grace's palm.
"Is it working?" Danny asked.
...
Timmy Turner found his former nemesis Vicky standing on a wooden bridge, overlooking a small stream. She had a green sweater, and a red scarf. She had untied her ponytail to let her long red hair flow in the autumn breeze as it reflected the orange light of the setting sun.
She looked like a completely different woman. She had a thoughtful expression on her face like she was trying to figure something out.
"Hey Vicky." Timmy said. "What's up?"
"Ugh. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my rent by this Friday." Vicky replied. "I'm completely broke, and I don't even have a job."
"Oh." Timmy said. "You know. If you want, you can crash at my place for a bit. You can sleep on the couch."
"Thanks twerp." Vicky said, now in more of a playful way than she had in the past. "I mean, Timmy."
"I don't mind you calling me twerp." Timmy replied. "I'm used to it from you."
"Yeah, well thanks anyway but I..." Vicky said.
"No, I'm serious. Stay at my place for a bit. It'll be fun." Timmy said. "Besides you've been wanting to make up for everyone you've wronged in the past. Most of those people come in and out of my place all the time. And like I said before, your sister's going to be here for the weekend, I know you have some stuff to talk through with her."
"Alright." Vicky said. "But only until I get a job and a new apartment."
"So, you're really changing huh?" Timmy said. "I never thought I'd see the day."
"You've changed a lot too twerp." Vicky pointed out.
"How so?"
"No offense but you used to be kind of a um... looser." Vicky said.
"Yeah I suppose I was." Timmy said.
"But now look at you." Vicky said. "You can sing, play the guitar, you've got all those women after you, in a good way this time, and you're on your way to become a game designer. Plus, you're like really handsome now."
"Handsome?" Timmy said.
Vicky blushed. "Uh, yeah... I mean, yeah you're a pretty good-looking guy."
Timmy laughed and he too started to blush. "Now you sound like your sister."
"You said you broke up with her?" Vicky said.
"It was a mutual break up." Timmy said. "Don't worry no feelings where hurt."
"Well she was pretty lucky to have gotten to date you." Vicky said. "You know, because she liked you so much..."
Timmy then leaned in and kissed Vicky on the lips.
Timmy broke away from the kiss just as suddenly as he started it. "Gah! What the fuck did I just do?"
Vicky stood there for a few moments stunned, her eyes wide.
"I'm sorry I..." Timmy said. Then Vicky wrapped her arms around him and pulled him in for another kiss. After a second Timmy leaned into it wrapping his arms around her as they locked lips, feeling the warmth of her body contrast the coolness of the air.
...
Grace's eyes were starting to glow. Her wings extended and wind blew throughout the room.
Suddenly Grace collapsed.
"GRACE!!!!" Danny called out.
Grace was on the floor in a heap. Unconscious but still breathing. Danny turned his attention to Jazz.
"Do you feel any better?" Danny asked.
"No." Jazz replied. "I'm sorry Danny. I think this is goodbye."
"No! please!" Danny said, grabbing his sister's hand with both of his. "I can't lose you."
Jazz was now struggling to breath. "Danny... I... I want you to know... I'm proud to have you as a brother... ghost powers or not... I love you..." She let out one final breath. Her body went limp and her heart monitor flatlined. Danny placed his head on the bed and started to sob.
Jack came and placed his hand on Danny's back. Maddie reach over the bed and lightly grabbed Danny's hand. Not a single word was said for what felt like forever.
The doctors then rushed in. a few of the doctors paused and looked to the ground shocked by the sight of the unconscious girl with wings.
Danny's heart felt like it was going to explode. It felt as though something was clawing at the inside of his throat. He felt heat rising in his body.
One of the doctors was busy checking Jazz's vitals and finally pronouncing her dead. A Nurse knelt down to take a look at the peculiar creature that is Grace. She lifted up one of Grace's wings to get a closer look and mouthed the words "What the fuck?"
Danny sat up. Suddenly the IV bag that was just beside Danny's head broke off and fell to the floor.
"What in the world?" The doctor said as part of the metal post holding the IV bag just spontaneously broke off and fell to the ground. The broken metal glowed as if it were cut with a lightsaber.
"GAH!" Danny yelled as he felt a sudden and intense heat in his back, coupled with the sensation of something pushing on the inside of his skin. He got up and rushed into the hallway. He burst into the bathroom.
His entire body felt like it was boiling from the inside. Full of panic, anger, and sadness, Danny ripped off his shirt and threw it to the ground.
"GAH!" Danny screamed as he fell to his knees. "What's happening to me!" then his back exploded spraying blood on the wall behind him. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Danny yelled in pain.
Then something insane happened. Two huge birdlike wings grew from the hole in Danny's back, the feathers where white, and soaked in Danny's crimson red blood. The wings extended to the width of the room. Danny's entire body was shaking, the floor was covered in blood. Then a glowing yellow halo formed above his head.
"Danny are you ok?" Jack said, opening the door into the bathroom. "My god!"
"What am I?" Danny asked, now drenched in his own blood with massive wings sprouting from his back.
...
Timmy and Vicky held each other in their arms as they continued to kiss.
"Oh Timmy." Vicky said brushing her hand through Timmy's hair. "I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything." Timmy said. "Just kiss me."
"You're so forgiving," Vicky said. "For a twerp."
