Chapter 1: The Fifth Horsemen, and The Fallen Angel
(goes without saying, but if you have never seen Danny Phantom, you will be completely lost. Also the characters of Danny Phantom are owned by Nickelodeon)
"Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. All sins must be punished, even my own. My father knew that. I am carrying out his will, he can't see that. The beauty of his creation, wasted on these apes. One day I will light them up, I will light them all up and watch them burn and scream. After all I am the light bringer. "
...
It is within the darkest and most ancient parts of the ghost zone. The part so secluded and secret that even Danny Phantom has no knowledge of it, and the observants have only heard of it, that all souls fear to tread. The place filled with the screams of agony, darkness and fire. Mortals have a word for this place, Hell. And it is here that he resides. But that will soon change.
Four dark figures in dark robes stand at the edge of a cliff elsewhere in the ghost zone. Each figure riding a horse. Soon they were accompanied by a smaller figure.
"What is going on my brothers?" The smaller figure asked.
"Can you sense it sister?" The leader of the group, a figure riding a pale horse asked. "The end is upon us. He has escaped from his cage."
"What are we to do?"
"I want you to go to the human world. It is safer there."
"I can help you here."
"The fallen one is not to be underestimated." The larger figure warned. "You are to go to the human realm, and make sure he can't get through the portal. We will take care of him here."
The smaller figure rode up to the larger one, gave him a hug and rode off.
...
Danny Fenton was cleaning the basement when the ghost portal opened and a dark hooded figure emerged from the swirling green void.
"Uh can I help you?" Danny asked.
The figure was wearing a long dark robe, with pink swirls and hearts lining the edges.
"Where is this?" A woman's voice came from under the cloak.
"The real world." Danny replied.
"Real?" The figure said. "What makes this world any more real than any other?"
"If you could kindly go back into the ghost zone before you cause any damage here. That would make my job a lot easier." Danny requested.
"I mean no harm." The figure protested. "But I can't go back."
"Well I asked nicely." Danny said as he turned into his ghost form. He then shot a blast of ghostly energy at the figure. The figure raised her hand, creating a wall of electrical energy that deflected Danny's blast. The figure stood in silence. Danny could see her bright blue eyes staring at him, into his soul.
Then Danny realized that his ghost sense didn't go off. Yet this figure was clearly not human. "What are you?" He asked.
"I am..." The figure started. "Getting shot at with an energy blast! Is this how you always treat a guest? Pretty rude if you ask me."
"Uh sorry." Danny said.
Then the figure turned into pure lightning and disappeared.
"Who was that?" Danny said to himself. "And why didn't my ghost sense go off?"
...
Meanwhile back in the ghost zone. The warden ghost, Walker was sitting in the office of the ghost prison. He looked out the window at his ghostly prisoners. They chipped away at hard stones, with chains wrapped around their ankles, or whatever they had below their waists. Walker reveled in the torture he put his prisoners through.
The door swung open behind Walker.
"Unauthorized entry to the warden's office. That's against the rules." Walker said without looking to see who had walked in.
"And you think you make the rules?" a deep voice came from behind Walker.
Walker felt chills run down his back, but he kept his cool. "I just enforce them... And make them."
"And who put you in charge?"
"Listen buddy, you wanna be locked up in this prison forever." Walker turned around and froze at the site of his guest.
In the doorway stood a dark menacing figure. The figure had to be at least 6 foot four and rippling with muscle. The figure's body was cloaked in shadow. A bit of light glinted off of the figure's golden blond hair, his face was covered in shadow but two red demonic eyes glowed from the darkness. Eyes that at the same time felt full of hate, yet somehow devoid of all emotions at the same time.
"You call this a prison?" The figure laughed. "Where I come from this would be a five star hotel. You ever think about opening shop in the Wisconsin Dells?"
"What are you?" Walker asked.
The figure's demonic eyes glowed brighter. A bright light shined behind him and two huge angelic wings grew from the creature's back.
"I'm the new warden." The creature said. "And it's time for lights out." The figure raised his hand toward Walker, and a huge beam of white light shot out of his palm and blasted Walker out of his window, and vaporized him in mid air.
The figure walked up to the microphone for the PA system.
"Attention prisoners." He said. "I regret to inform you, that our dear sweet warden Walker has been murdered, by me. No you are not free now, just the opposite in fact. I am your new warden, and if you thought Walker was a sadist, you ain't seen nothing yet. For starters every one of your sentences has been extended... to eternity. The rest, you'll find out soon enough. Who am I you may ask. Well you can just call me, Lucifer."
...
Danny sat uncomfortably in class as he subtly squirmed in his seat.
"Danny are you ok?" Sam asked.
"My back has been killing me lately." Danny answered.
"Can I have everyone's attention." Mr. Lancer said. "We have a new student today."
Then a young girl walked into the classroom. She was a bit short, with a body that even made Paulina jealous, she had fair light colored skin. Her red-brown hair was tied back in a pony tail, and she had freckles under her sky-blue eyes. She wore a hot-pink sweater with a light pink heart on the chest like some sort of super-hero symbol as well as smaller pink hearts scatter around the rest of her sweater. She had blue jeans, and black canvas shoes.
"This is Grace." Mr. Lancer introduced the girl to the class. "She's a foreign exchange student from uh... Where we you from again miss?"
"Uh..." Grace stammered for a moment. "Ireland." She said, with great uncertainty in her voice, as if she had just come up with the answer from the top of her head. She also didn't have an Irish accent or even an accent at all. When she spoke, she sounded like someone who had grown up right there in Amity Park.
If Danny was paying any attention he would have noticed her voice was the same as that of the creature that had come out of the ghost portal earlier that day.
"You can have a seat next to Daniel." Mr. Lancer suggested.
As Grace walked down the aisle, past the students sitting at her their desks. Some students starred at her, taken in by her beauty, some were simply curious about the new girl in class. But most just ignored her. Most didn't even notice each light in the ceiling flicker as she walked by.
"Looks like we might need to call an electrician." Mr. Lancer mumbled to himself.
Grace sat down in the empty desk next to Danny. As soon as Mr. Lancer started giving his lecture Grace leaned toward Danny and whispered.
"So are you going to zap me again? Or are we cool?"
