Flash - 2
(A/N) If it wasn't clear, this is before Thawne is revealed, so this Wells is Dr. Wells. The one in a wheelchair. Tell me if I did Dr. Wells wrong, please
Cisco and the Doctor lady cleared out, leaving me alone with the dude in a wheelchair.
"Phantom, my name is Doctor Wells, take a walk with me."
I nervously got up, almost fearing the wrath of the doctor lady, following the wheelchair dude out. "So, um, who are you?"
"So you haven't heard of me, interesting. You, young man, are at STAR Labs." The man continued rolling down the hallway, until we reached a balcony overlooking a destroyed segment of the facility.
"Oh, I've heard of this place, didn't know it'd been destroyed." I recognized the name from a newspaper I'd read over a year ago. "But I suppose a lot can happen in a year."
"Indeed," He said. We stood there in silence for a moment, me looking around, and him staring ahead calmly.
"So, who are you?" I asked again, not remembering any of the names in the article.
"My name is Dr. Wells, the young lady that took care of you is Dr. Catlin Snow."
"Okay?" I said, attempting to make sure I remembered their names. (No, I didn't remember their names, I forgot them four minutes later and had to ask again, but still, I tried.)
"I'll get to the point. Why are you here, Danny Phantom?" Dr. Wells asked, staring at me.
"Cause I was hacking up my lungs, I believe," I said, smiling awkwardly. He remained staring at me, and I shifted awkwardly. "Sorry."
"Dr. Wells, could you come to the cortex?" Cisco's voice echoed over the intercom.
"We will continue this later," he said, leaving me standing there.
I managed standing there for about a minute more, then decided to go try and find the cortex. I flew around, phasing through the walls for a while, and ended up in a room that seemed rather long and looked more like a massive tube with a bunch of little cell thingies along the walls, some with people in them, most without. I circled around the giant doughnut-shaped tunnel for a while, interesting myself with thinking of names for the prisoners and the powers they seemed to be displaying. One of the dudes kept turning into weird green mist, so I just went with Mist, cause sometimes, simple is better than nothing. Then I started wondering if they had named their prisoners and decided to ask them about it, once I figured out where the cortex place was.
A red blur zipped past me, skidding to a stop, almost crashing into a nearby wall.
"There you are, Dr. Wells said he left you on that balcony, how'd you get down here?" The red-suited man asked.
"Um, I flew?" I said, shrugging apologetically.
"Through several levels?" He asked skeptically.
"There was some phasing involved," I admitted.
"How do you phase?" He asked, more curious than hostile now.
"Um, I don't know?" I replied, shrugging again.
"Nevermind, let me guess, you're lost?"
"Yeah, have been for a while. Couldn't find that cortex wheelchair dude was called too." I replied, landing in front of the man, looking up at him. He was, of course, taller than me, cause, isn't everyone?
"I'll lead you there, Cait- Dr. Snow, wants you back on the table." He said, beginning to walk off.
"Great, so, um, what do I call you?" I asked. "Aside from dude in the red suit."
"The Flash is what they call me." He replied.
"Ugh, who thought of that?" I asked, flying after him.
He didn't answer me, instead staying silent.
"I guess that's okay too, don't reply to the curious teenager who'd been alive longer than you." I started whistling the tune of the song that never ends. (The getting on your nerves version. I find this funny even to this day.)
"Would you stop that please?" He asked, a little irritated.
"Yep, sure." I stopped whistling and instead hummed it under my breath.
He rubbed a gloved hand over his face. "Are you this irritating all the time?"
"Yep, most of the time," I replied cheerfully. "You should've seen Batman's face when I annoyed the Joker that one time."
"Batman's real?" He asked incredulously, spinning around to face me.
"Yeah, or, he was, I don't know if he's still active, or even alive."
"And you worked with him?"
"Kinda, he's not really the partner kind of guy. Until he adopted Dick of course," I replied, grinning.
"I'm not going to ask," the Flash decided.
"Okay, works for me," I said.
(A/N) Short, I know, but a relatively regular size for this book. Admittedly, I don't know what I'm doing! Any suggestions for other crossovers? I kinda need those... Also, this should be open until I decide this book is finished. Comment at any time.
