EXTENDED PSYCHOLOGY;

scout is a beautifully broken character. her life has been far from easy. having lost both her parents right in front of her, it was hard to adapt to having newfound superpowers. at first, she tried to hide them and get rid of them, not wanting any memory of the way she got them. yet, she realized that she could use them for good. she could use them to help save others, therefore protecting other people from experiencing the same grief of losing a loved one. she is driven to make peace through her powers.

she is a strong-tempered girl. she doesn't hesitate to let others know when she is happy, upset, or angry. yet, fear is the one thing she is most afraid of. she is terrified of letting others see her scared and weak. she also hates the idea of others knowing about her secret identity because she doesn't want to place the burden of knowing she could easily die on her loved ones. therefore, she hides them out of fear, even when it is unreasonable.

she has a tendency to separate herself from those around her, believing she is cursed to live a life of complete independence and suffering. when peter comes into her life, it shakes her up, for she is afraid of losing another person very dear to her. she and him bring out the best in each other, and he helps her pessimism and conquer her fears.
